GaelicFox Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Saying now it's Abaaoud's wife who blew herself up ! He only asked her if she has an issue with him getting an extra few Virgins in paradise LOL shouldn't laugh but then again we should mock them as much as possible !
bovril Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Are you a Christian Matt? Is that something by the entrance of a church?
GaelicFox Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Having been a fully qualified mechanical engineer for the best part of 30 years i think i have an basic understanding of how nuclear energy works, both fission and fusion , the power it can produce when used as a weapon and also the consequences. Nuclear weapons don't necessarily have to be 500 kiloton monsters that destroys huge areas, but can be a lot smaller and only have a blast radius the size of half a football pitch. They are called suitcase nuclear devices, and their intention is to send a message that we know where you are, we can get to you and we are prepared to use our ultimate power against you, which IMO, is how we deal with a terrorist group such as isis who it would appear, represent a religious ideal. These terrorists are not like the IRA, who represented a political ideal. The IRA would contact the authorities before they blew something up on mainland Britain, the area could be cleared and there would be minimum casualties and maximum political statement. Sending planes over Syria and dropping an extra 20 bombs a night such as France are doing is not going to solve anything, its not sending a message out, its just blowing things up and probably killing more innocent people than terrorists. Obviously you would know this, after all you are GOD... Well said

RobHawk Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Obviously not. Feel free to expand.............. Also surely 20 bombs a night directed at precise locations also tells the likes of ISIS 'We know where you are" does it not?

This is in complete contrast to your first post which started the conversation where to paraphrase you stated "blowing the IS to pieces" And your retort about using an atom bomb instead of a nuclear bomb did n't really make sense since an atom bomb is a type of nuclear bomb - as you obviously know being a nuclear engineer. So why is you small radioactive bomb any better than a normal non-nuclear weapon for your newly stated purpose?

Does it make any difference if someone was to drop an extra 20 bombs on you if they are already dropping 20 bombs on you.
Guest Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Is that something by the entrance of a church? no, that's a muslim extremist with a suicide jacket on.
leicsmac Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 I'm not claiming ISIS will take over Europe, no reason to think we won't face the same long term problems any other area of the World has though who has engaged in mass Muslim immigration, I expect Europe to fall to Islam over the next few hundred years with barely a bullet being fired. I don't expect organised religion to have nearly as much political power and influence after the next few hundred years. If it does, then humankind really won't have progressed much at all.

I can't really believe that all our PMs really believe in the Christian God.

Like a ISIS terrorist will be like "20 bombs dropped again tonight but lets be thankful they haven't dropped a small nuclear bomb yet" Every action has a reaction, and getting nuclear is not cool IMO - ISIS just don't understand the rules to risk it going Nuclear!

I'm not a nuclear engineer so don't start trying to belittle me, read up about fission and fusion and controlling a nuclear explosion.
MooseBreath Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Including those born in France? I guess if you go back long enough we're all immigrants aren't we? Even the ones born in France, yes. We are all immigrants if you go back long enough, yes, but what's your point in relation to the modern day threat from Islamic extremism. That because our ancestors were once immigrants who colonised lands often using extreme violence we should allow the same to happen to us out of some kind of bizarre quest to achieve equality?
leicsmac Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 I'm waiting for the first PM who actually states he/she doesn't believe in God. I can't really believe that all our PMs really believe in the Christian God. Yeah. I'm waiting more though for the first atheist or agnostic US President. That will be an interesting day. I'm not a nuclear engineer so don't start trying to belittle me, read up about fission and fusion and controlling a nuclear explosion. The minimum yield for known nuclear devices (that isn't classified) is somewhere between one and two kilotons. Using one of them would be similar to merely dropping a MOAB and getting them close enough to be detonated in an effective way would be a massive ballache...so why bother?
GaelicFox Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Right how many atomic bomb makers have we on here the conversations are like a jihadi cookbook Is FT now over run by ISIS using it as a cover for atomic bomb manufacturing lessons ?
Guest Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 I'm not a nuclear engineer so don't start trying to belittle me, read up about fission and fusion and controlling a nuclear explosion. I know about fission and fusion, unlike you I've actually worked with CEA and CERN nuclear physicists. Maybe a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
GaelicFox Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Good to see ! I know about fission and fusion, unlike you I've actually worked with CEA and CERN nuclear physicists. Maybe a little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Course you have LOL Best post of the day

No. My point was that trying to blame this disgusting episode on immigration policy is a little too simplistic. even for you.

Guest Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 of course you have lol Best post of the day Believe what you want. I've worked many hours, in fact many full days with many of them. I'm an English teacher for the French state.
MooseBreath Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 No. My point was that trying to blame this disgusting episode on immigration policy is a little too simplistic. even for you. Having never worked with CEA and CERN nuclear physicists you can be assured I am a simple guy, so perhaps you can explain how immigration policy wasn't a big factor considering all of the perpetrators are at most 2nd generation immigrants? If the immigration didn't happen then the attacks wouldn't have happened.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 I'm not a nuclear engineer so don't start trying to belittle me, read up about fission and fusion and controlling a nuclear explosion. How are you supposed to control who gets hit by a nuclear bomb? How can you ensure it hits the targets you want and no innocents? What about the future impact on these settlements which these refugees might like to return to if the region was ever stabilised... That wouldn't be possible after a nuclear bomb.
