EverybodyDannsNow Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 The Turks weren't up for the minute's silence, you have to wonder what the support levels would be like for ISIS there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEB57Yeqk4I Can someone please explain why they did this? I don't get it
leicsmac Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Is there something wrong with being an idealist on here or something? I mean, if we're all that cynical about humanity eventually getting along we may as well draw the curtain on the human race right now and hope the next "intelligent" species doesn't fvck things up quite as badly as we have. And quite frankly, if we continue to kill and exert power for such petty reasons then we don't deserve to survive as a species anyway. If you want humanity to keep going to the next however many millenia, then you also need to hope we do it as one species.

Rincewind Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Not the best image next to it either, effectively telling us that they tried to find a picture with them all on but couldn't. OK which one is the Pagan and which one is the atheist?
GaelicFox Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Can someone please explain why they did this? I don't get it Because there is a deep rooted support amongst Muslims for attacking the west Turkey should never be allowed in the EU http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3322708/Turkey-supporters-boo-minute-s-silence-victims-Paris-attacks-prior-team-s-friendly-against-Greece-Istanbul.html
GaelicFox Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Massive operation near Paris central Suicide woman blew herself up ! Looks like they have got the rest of this cell as it looks like 3 of these animals are going to killed or have been killed ! Massive success story for the French security forces !
Ross-Kemp Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 3 killed & 3 arrested are the reports. No ****ing about from the French here, superb work.

bovril Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 I was chatting to a friend in Paris on the Internet last night and it really does feel like they are at war. It's completely surreal. How the hell did we get here.

Guest Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 we have been at war with pretty much every country on the planet. that doesn't make sense. which is why it's a national anthem and not an international anthem. Perhaps ode to joy or whatever the European anthem is would have been better. Having said that, I watched last night and the idea wasn't as bad as I'd thought. However the overpowering woman's voice took away the emotion of the crowd singing a little.
Guest Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Why is education getting worse? You're quoting things about nuclear weapons (and A bombs) that you have no understanding of. Neither how they work or what they are or the consequences or the actual reality of it's use in Japan nor the after effects of the war .... Shall I go on? It was still hundreds of years ago fif Ireland was not hundreds of years ago Wookie. Wasn't really about religion though was it? It was nationalist versus loyalist, Catholic v protestant was merely coincidental. You are joking aren't you?
Fox92 Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Reports of more shots and another explosion. French are really going for it, great work so far.
Captain... Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Im pretty much a fan of Anonymous.. but just another act of terrorism? http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/nov/17/anonymous-war-isis-hacktivist-group-confirms good or bad? It depends how it is done, Hacktivists are probably better able to do this as they don't have to follow any rules, and will not be worried about shutting down a few innocent websites/twitter feeds by mistake, but that is the problem it is unregulated and could end up costing the intelligence services vital information from monitoring these accounts. I was reading this morning about a potential attack in London which was thwarted after the attacker tweeted asking what to target, tweeting as @ the secret bomber. Not exactly covering his tracks, but if Anonymous had hacked his account and disabled it that might not have been discovered. Whether Anonymous could work with intelligence agencies, I don't know, I guess they are trying to do something positive, but it could do more harm than good.
ramboacdc Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 This is news? "Tweet by French police: "Diesel, malinois 7 years, RAID assault dog, was killed by terrorists in the current operation #SaintDenis"."

Guest Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 5 policemen injured so far. 1 dead dog. - highly reported
Guest Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 Sometimes having a paramilitary police force comes in handy. The law is quite different here to the the UK. The army have great power to act swiftly. Embarrassing thing is they think the mastermind was in the flat - that's the reason for the raid - having thought he was in Syria yesterday. If he's really there that opens another nasty can of worms.
Guest Posted 18 November 2015 Posted 18 November 2015 All of those bombs over the last 3 days in Syria and reports are 33 islamists were killed. That's either very precise bombing or very poor bombing.
