I'm rubbish at these usually lol

Spent too much time trying to remember how to spell Knockaert (there's no H by the way). Ending up forgetting Gallagher, Koncheskey, Wellens, Yakubu, and loads of even less obvious ones!

Posted

I got 180... The ones I missed out were among some of the most obvious ones.

Mind you, I think every Leicester City tries to forget that period between 2005 and 2008 lol

I was pretty rubbish and got 140. Luckily that means my memories of the absolute shite we had to endure through the 00s isnt great.

also, who is John Curtis? Literally have no memory of him at all!!

Another free transfer upon our promotion. Played the first half of the 2003/04 season before we got rid of him (thank God). He went on to Portsmouth if I recall correctly, or a similar club anyway.

Do you not remember Middlesbrough away that season!?

I take it you're talking about that awful 3-3? Just googled as don't remember him playing and it was him that scored their equaliser. Cheers, John, nice one.

Pretty sure he slipped for their 2nd as well.

Weren't we 3-1 up at 90 mins and he gifted them 2 goals in injury time?

He was an abysmal, massively over-the-hill player. His career peaked as a youngster when people thought he was going to take Gary Neville's place at ManUtd and spiralled out of control from there.

Basically he was the Jessie Lingard of his day.

173, I'm a bit disappinted but also pleased at how well my brain and managed to forget most of 2004-07!!

Speaking of which, the below was our most common starting 11 in the 05/06 season,

Let that sink in and always refer back to it when we next don't win for two games and decide to throw our toys out. How far we've come is remarkable

GK Paul Henderson

DF Patrick Kisnorbo

DF Nils-Eric Johansson

DF Gareth McAuley

DF Alan Maybury

DF Richard Stearman

MF Danny Tiatto

MF Stephen Hughes

MF Levi Porter

ST Iain Hume

ST Elvis Hammond

That's the one! I recall we gifted them all three goals that day too.

GK Paul Henderson - lower league GK, didn't make saves you'd expect him to

DF Patrick Kisnorbo - especially shite hoofer, would have been better suited to sunday league and beers

DF Nils-Eric Johansson - hardly remember him though he was here for a while, seemed gangly and awkward

DF Gareth McAuley - shite hoofer who occasionally threatened from set pieces. He must have got significantly better after leaving us

DF Alan Maybury - average in every department and prone to clangers

DF Richard Stearman - the 'gem' of this team - dear oh dear.

MF Danny Tiatto - shite thug who couldnt pass or control a ball but liked a tackle

MF Stephen Hughes - showed tekkers on occasion but was too lightweight to ever get in a game and never seemed up for a fight, hence us losing to awful physical teams most weeks

MF Levi Porter - seemed like a headless chicken to me

ST Iain Hume - ony popular because he seemed to care more than the rest, limitations (almost) made up by his workrate

ST Elvis Hammond - had an eye for goal but the rest of his game was dire, non-league level

Of that team the above were ok. Henderson I thought was good enough for us at that level. He wasn't a problem compared to someone like Rab Douglas and Conrad.

Kisnorbo and McAuley had a great partnership in central defence - our team had the second best defence when we got relegated. McAuley has proven his class by playing prem football for the last number of seasons.

Stearman at the time did a good job for us.

Hume - he was a trier. Not the best by anyway but you knew what you got with him.

Kisnorbo and McAuley were solid enough alright. Stearman wasn't a full back, lets be honest, hence when he signed for Wolves (and they got promoted) he played centre half.

That squad shouldn't have been relegated anyway. We just couldn't score goals. Remember the 0-0 at Stoke on that day and McAuley hit the woodwork in the last ten mins if I recall correctly. Mind you, I was never a fan of Paul Henderson.

I think I've done this about 4 times and still only got about 140-150 lol.

also, very clever for members to mention names in here!

If anyone got Gilbert, Nils Eric Johansen or Alan Rogers give yourself a pat on the back.

My mind has locked those memories deep away to the darkest recesses of my brain lol

Forgot Steve Howard and Akinbiyi of all people!

158 - couldn't remember Peltier or Rodgers or Berner's names. Worrying.

If i'd got them and a few silly omissions - Prior, Oakley, Hobbs, Howard, Scowcroft i'd have been satisfied with a 175+

Some woeful names
