Spudulike Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 Are we actually in a bubble ?? How long do we have to be in it for it not to be a bubble ?? We are still under the radar. We are still 'little' Leicester. Or are we ??
HighPeakFox Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 Lets face it, why shouldnt they question, the form and what the future holds over xmas period. Many posters on here, cant wait for us to crack, direly waiting for the proverbial bubble to burst. They can't contemplate, that the foxes just might hold their own, cant even dream that city can go unbeaten in the next 6 games. We beat WBA, they beat Arsenal who we lost to.There is no football logic, Just enjoy the ride, instead of fearing the fear of failure.
Elsie Ephsey Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 Why do we want credit? We're top of the league and, Vardy's run aside, still managing to fall under the radar. The longer it stays that way the better imo. Hopefully by the time the others wake up to it, the bird will have flown. A lack of credit also means we can back our team at 11/4 in a home fixture next week. Charge!!!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 Let it continue, we are rubbish... little Leicester... McClaren thought we were solid at the back and just nicked goals ... no wonder his team got steamrolled
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 Southampton got to this stage last season and got done, isn't out of the question we do the same after looking at the Arsenal result. But if we prove them wrong next Saturday evening people will start to get worried.

Wymsey Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 Being under the radar, collectively, is fine - as it means that there's no pressure on them to carry on performing. But recent media towards Vardy is an exception as it's massively deserved and a rare thing to surpass such a record.

ScouseFox Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 I'm glad you put (lawro) would've had no idea who you were on about otherwise
glenelgfox Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 It's nearly 8.30 am Sunday morning and I am watching cable TV sports news on the Fox Sports (AUS) channel and after getting a little better Lesta coverage they open the show this morning with patronising dialogue such as "Don't adjust your sets, it is right, little Leicester are top of the EPL but thanks to Liverpool thrashing ManC". To be fair though last 2 days Vardy has got some decent coverage and rightly so. Might only last a week (hope not!) but it is a great day to be a Foxes Fan and today I shall be out and about as always after a win wearing the City shirt but today my chest will be puffed out even further and I will strut with a touch of arrogance!
foxes_rule1978 Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 Vardy, like he has shown over more than half a season is genuine quality. The ability to beat his man and that finish was top draw... Van Nistrelrooy coolness

They did fall away but they also continued to play well - they didn't get the breaks in a similarly tough run to what we have got coming up but then came out of that into another decent run.
Corky Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 Southampton played really well against Man United and Arsenal in the first part of that run despite losing- in the reverse fixtures they won both and also drew with Chelsea. They finished 7th with 60 points- that would be some season for us if we at least matched it.

They were basically really good and then really rubbish. As long as we're better than rubbish well finish higher than they did.

Exactly we have only lost to one top four side... beating those sides isn't necessary, it is beating the oppononents we have that gets you high in the league
Corky Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 But weren't these the matches last season that we were supposed to pick up victories from? If we had these results following our first five matches we'd have been up near Chelsea at Christmas.

Fly to Melbourne, we'll have a beer Seeing as how we're travelling the way we are, would the season be a failure if we don't qualify for Europe?
johnstop Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 I hope you take this post the way its intended. Life long Liverpool supporter who actually remembers that football existed before SKY.. You are top of the league because you deserve to be there playing great football and scoring goals.I have always been a fan of your manager he is a class act. No reason why you cant keep this up good luck and keep on winning in style
ThingsCouldGetMessi Posted 21 November 2015 Posted 21 November 2015 I was getting a bit annoyed by Lawro a few weeks ago because 2 matches in a row he predicted us to lose because we "have to lose eventually". There was no other basis given. In the end I have accepted that it is nothing short of lazy journalism by a supposed "expert" and he is pretty much always against someone who is clueless about football so he can look good. Most on here could do better than he manages over a season.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 The thing that winds me up is the "Leicester haven't played anyone good yet" We've got a hard run coming up but we've played Stoke, West Ham and Southampton away and took points, took a point from Spurs who are the only other team to only lose one game, and lost to Arsenal because we tried to play them at their own game, that's the first defeat we've ever had where I left not too bothered, there was nothing we could've done that day. Aside from those games I've mentioned we've beaten or drawn with a load of teams pundits had down for us to be in a relegation scrap with. I think the point I'm trying to make is that we've took the points we needed to now anything else in the next month with these tough games is a bonus, and even then I don't see these players letting up, obviously we won't win them all but we won't lose them all either.
David Hankey Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Credit - we are, apparently, an "unfashionable" Club and always have been. I've no problem with that and relish the fact that we keep on doing the biz week in week out and are now top of the league on merit. Let the media concentrate on the demise of Chelsea and others whilst we continue with our meteoric rise. Many pundits are useless has-beens. Lawro continues to forecast our results incorrectly and Danny Mills on 'Final Score' yesterday was so wide of the mark on his comments relating to Vardy he is another one who can't be taken seriously. Ranieri and the team are doing magnificently and all congratulations to them.
Guest Col city fan Posted 22 November 2015 Posted 22 November 2015 Their just expecting the bubble to burst that's all. Which it will at some point, don't really see why pundits predicting us to lose is so annoying. I'm just delighted we are in the form we are in if people want to mark us down to lose that's up to them, I don't doubt there will be an occasion where mark lawrenson has us down to lose at home to someone like Bournemouth, everyone on here has us down as dead Certs and he ends up being bang on the money.....that's football. He is after all required to predict every game every week and has to give an opinion one way or the other. In terms of praise I think on the whole the media has far from ignored us, it's just that we know as well as they do we probably aren't going to maintain top four form all season. Next month will be very telling in terms of where we actually are I think. Absolutely spot on.. This is why..
