theessexfox Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Pearson's plan for the festive period in the championship, was to pick one game and make 10 changes, I didn't like that approach and I remember it cost us against Millwall a few years ago, we aren't playing so many games in the prem but it is still intense and we are the team in the prem that has made the fewest changes so there will be some tired legs out there for our ever presents, I would like to see some tinkering to keep players fresh, and see Kramaric, Inler and Benalouane prove they are great options to have in the squad. But I wouldn't make any changes until after Swansea. Didn't we beat Millwall away with lots of changes? GTF played, Knockaert scored first half, Schlupp sealed it? Or am I thinking of the wrong game?
Guest bss9401 Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 12 points from the 18 then the wheels come off......because CR has reached the magical 40 points and gives Vardy, DD, Kante, WM, MA and RM the rest of the season off. Vardy might just need the rest of the season off anyway because he's been kicked to pieces.
enmac Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 Can't wait for the Chelsea game. No idea about the other 5, but clearly there is friction btw Claudio and Mourinho. I predict a humiliating defeat for Chelsea.
bluesbrothers Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 On paper, 6-9 points out of that would be great, but we know we can get more. We should absolutely be looking to win against Everton and Swansea, and I want revenge on Liverpool after Morgan's mutant face-hand last year. Regardless of the wonderful result last season, I'd be pleased with a point against United. Chelsea are still shit despite that thug Costa saving them against the mighty Norwich and we may dick them, especially if they stick with their useless defensive pairing of Terry and Cahill. That just leaves Man City, who are notoriously hot and cold and are fresh from a dicking this weekend. For the first time ever, I'm going into this supposedly horrible run expecting us to at least compete in all of these games. Granted, they are the only "big boy" we've played, but Arsenal are the only team we've played this year to truly outclass us, and even they're inconsistent.
My Nads Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 Man Utd.. H Swansea.. A Chelsea.. H Everton.. A Liverpool.A Man City. H That's a challenging next 6! Will certainly define our season.. How many points can we realistically achieve? I'm going for... 9 Man Utd.. H 3-0 Piece of piss (W) Huth gets away with one on Rooney who then throws a wobbler and gets sent off! Swansea.. A 3-1 (W) Monk found out again. Chelsea.. H 4-1 (W) Jose goes into final meltdown, blames the ref for not awarding them 6 penalties, implies Wenger would have been awarded 7 penalties. In a 3 hour long confused rant he states it's impossible for Leicester to have won the game because they aren't from London or the north west, blames Wenger for several other things and finishes by saying Leicester wont win the league, repeating it's impossible. He later "steps down" after meeting with Abramovich. Everton.. A 2-2 (D) Tough game could go either way. Liverpool...A 2-0 (W) Klopp's has the smile wiped from his face! Man City. H 2-3 (L) The best team in the PL, but they are prone to injuries, so too early to say who will be playing. If Kompany's out and they defend like they did against Liverpool, it's a very winnable game. So I'm going for 13 points and keeping top spot!
My Nads Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 I'm going for 8 points with 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats. Can look at any of the teams and see reasons why we might win but this is certainly a tricky run. I might get laughed at by a few on here but the game that worries me the most is actually Everton away. No ones laughing at you, Everton away will be a tough game.
ARM1968 Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 My Nads - that's a very balanced evaluation. I concur wholeheartedly.
justfoxes Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 Can't wait for the Chelsea game. No idea about the other 5, but clearly there is friction btw Claudio and Mourinho. I predict a humiliating defeat for Chelsea. I so hope we pummel Chelsea and send a nice FOOK OFF !! Message to boring whinging Borinhio and his crappy little snipes about our perfect squad and our glorious leader !!
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 Maybe it's time to get Inler involved to keep things calm. He hasn't looked good so far but I still feel there is more to come from him. He really needs to prove himself before January anyway... Deary me! Who and why ...pray tell, aside from a situation where we have at least two midfield injuries, would Inler step in for? That's given that right now, the current midfield have been party to propelling us to the summit of the top division, while Inler has shown zero evidence that he can cope with the pace of top flight English football.
Swiper Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 This run is so tough to predict because the Arsenal game is just a terrible measuring stick. Should have gone up 2 and then moments later a terrible giveaway leads to their equalizer and they take control. Not sure if we would have won that game but if that one exchange doesn't happen we could very possibly be sitting here unbeaten. When you take into account the addition and strong showing of Fuchs and Simpson, I wouldn't mind seeing a similar gameplan against some of these teams to the Arsenal game. If Leicester stay aggressive, points will be had from these fixtures. 8 points is a very realistic goal here but it's completely feasible, on current form, that we could manage 7 or even 9/9 from the next 3 games. Especially if Leo's goal last week has broken the dam for him. He could be the key in the next month. If we reach the break and he's picked up 3 or 4 goals, look out.
TrentFox Posted 24 November 2015 Posted 24 November 2015 Man Utd.. H 2-2 D Swansea.. A 1-3 W Chelsea.. H -1-1 D Everton.. A 1-3 L Liverpool.A 1-2 L Man City. H 1-2 D 8 points and would be very happy with that. Everton and Liverpool are getting decent. Man city are a top top top side. We're going to draw 1-2 against Man City? Yes !!! That's how feckin' good we are right now!!!!

Arsenal took Man U apart just after they did it to us. We wont face another team as good as Arsenal were on that day. When Arsenal are on it like that, they are too good for anyone in the league. Luckily they get a nose bleed if they win too many!
NewEnglandFox Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 7 points out of the first 9 of this run.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 Okay this is going better than I thought, in fact I'm the biggest optimised ever and what we are doing are even beyond my wildest dreams... champions league is now realistic
ScouseFox Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 pretty nuts that some of us knew we'd win the league and got laughed at and look at us now oh you
foxes_rule1978 Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 oh you Wait till we play the top teams though... we have only had easy games so far
filbertway Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 oh you the smug-o-meter is going to be off the charts when we win the league, even way past col levels. I hope you've actually backed this with money. As an aside, the phrase "we haven't played a big team yet" can't only be annoying me by now? Comes across as having such a massive inferiority complex. Might just have a bet on us to win the next 5 games and let the money ride.
RizLCFC Posted 14 December 2015 Posted 14 December 2015 The next 3 will be very tough, Everton away probably the toughest.

The Doctor Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Shout out to everyone who thought we'd be lucky to reach eight or so in this
