ozleicester Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Dont stop scoring... im not game to make predictions about this team, but as long as we keep scoring we will keep picking up points. Confidence is key, a loss or poor game needs to be dealt with but not allowed to affect our season. December is one big month.
NewEnglandFox Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 These next 3 games are against wounded animals. Manchester has injuries and the Champions League, Swansea is self destructing, and Chelsea is just embarrassing themselves. We can take points in each of these games. I think everyone else is right saying we need 3 points at Swansea but there are more points available to us in these games than anyone could have imagined a few months ago. Time to kick some teams while they're down, or at least try. I don't need a team that wins every week or go to Europe but they have to go out there and try, when this team tries 9 points in these next 3 games isn't preposterous. But we need at least 3. Then I'll think about the final 3.
MattGamble92 Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 IF we are still top after these 6 games then we have to be taken very seriously for the top 4. I cannot believe im saying that
weller54 Posted 23 November 2015 Author Posted 23 November 2015 Man Utd.. H 3 points Swansea.. A 3 points Chelsea.. H 1 point Everton.. A 1 point Liverpool.A 0 points Man City. H 0 points its gonna be weird going 4 whole games without winning. Ranieri should walk if that happens!
Fox42 Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 The successive Merseyside trips are the ones that concern me the most. The Liverpool and Man City games are only three days apart as well. It's pivotal that we must stay fit for those three games otherwise I can only see one massive ripple effect happening here. If we get three draws from those games I'd be ecstatic.
Staffs Fox Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 I'm not going to do match by match prediction because we could easily lose at Swansea but win at Anfield, you just don't know, I am a pessimist by nature so I'll say 8, I'd be ecstatic with 10-12. Popping the Champagne if any more than that. To put this into context if we did get 10 (3W, 1D, 2L) we'd have 38 points at the half way stage!! We'd be all but safe with half the season to go. That was the aim at the start and whilst its obviously not the aim now, it'd be great to get it down that early. One prediction I will make is we'll win in Liverpool, whether that's at Goodison or Anfield I'm not sure, also we'll get something against City. Hope Kompany is suspended and Vardy will have a field day
Babylon Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Man Utd.. H Swansea.. A Chelsea.. H Everton.. A Liverpool.A Man City. H That's a challenging next 6! Will certainly define our season.. How many points can we realistically achieve? I'm going for... 9 We're Leicester, I'm not sure our season will ever be defined by what we do against the big 4 or 5 teams. 5 or 6 at most I'd have thought.
Guest Col city fan Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 IF we are still top after these 6 games then we have to be taken very seriously for the top 4. I cannot believe im saying that Now only 5/2 to finish in the top 6
simon789us Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Would be happy with 6-8 points from these games anything over 10-12 over the moon 18 the title is ours
mozartfox Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 4 points and we slip back into the bottom 3. CR sacked and JV sent out on loan to the Trees as he fails to score in all 6 matches. Would settle for 9 as that puts us within touching distance of 40 pts.
Wilson_6 Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Man Utd.. H 2-2 DSwansea.. A 1-3 W Chelsea.. H -1-1 DEverton.. A 1-3 LLiverpool.A 1-2 LMan City. H 1-2 D 8 points and would be very happy with that. Everton and Liverpool are getting decent. Man city are a top top top side.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Man Utd.. H 2-2 D Swansea.. A 1-3 W Chelsea.. H -1-1 D Everton.. A 1-3 L Liverpool.A 1-2 L Man City. H 1-2 D 8 points and would be very happy with that. Everton and Liverpool are getting decent. Man city are a top top top side. That's 6 points. I think we will get 12 to put us on the magic 40 points staying top and going on to finish in the top 4 with arsenal, man City and Tottenham.
Captain... Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 First things first, United, I think we approach this game in the same way, we get at them, if we fail and we concede 5 like Arsenal, then we can think about changing it for Chelsea, but before that we have Swansea and it is important that we take our game to them because they are vulnerable and our best shot at 3 points. After Arsenal we came back stronger, so I'm not worried about attacking united and getting beaten. After Swansea we have a tough run, Chelsea are still a very good team with very good players, and if we are to change our approach this is the time to do it, we have a the usual busy period and will need to rotate the squad, we could even consider 343/532/352 basically playing 3 at the back, bringing in Benalouane, Inler, Kramaric, Dyer, RDL, King, Okazaki to start in some of those games, but not wholesale changes in one game. Pearson's plan for the festive period in the championship, was to pick one game and make 10 changes, I didn't like that approach and I remember it cost us against Millwall a few years ago, we aren't playing so many games in the prem but it is still intense and we are the team in the prem that has made the fewest changes so there will be some tired legs out there for our ever presents, I would like to see some tinkering to keep players fresh, and see Kramaric, Inler and Benalouane prove they are great options to have in the squad. But I wouldn't make any changes until after Swansea.
Fox42 Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Another thing... Matty James. Would he be available in time for the festive period?
ramboacdc Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Man Utd.. H...not in the best form. still struggling infront of goal, especially on their travels. can see a draw. would love a win (1)Swansea.. A if they keep monk its a walkover. if not, we should still win (3) Chelsea.. H chelsea still aint warmed up for the season, they should have been able to stick 4 past norwich. stay disciplined, get a draw (1)Everton.. A destroyed villa at the weekend. we usually bag a few up there. draw (1)Liverpool.A klopp factor looks to have sunk in loss (0) Man City. H Can be undone, but not by just anyone. loss (0) 6 points gets us to 36 points. this time last season that would get you 4th place.
narboroughblue Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Looking longer term a point a game from here takes us to 53 and would have secured a top 10 finish last season. 60 points was enough for Southampton to finish 7th and qualify for Europe albeit in the third qualifying round. 70 points got Man Utd 4th place. Therefore 1.28 points per game would have got us 7th and 1.68 for top 4. Equating that to the next 6 means 6, 8 and 10 points respectively. That being said these 6 are probably harder that the average so if we could get anywhere around the 8 point mark I think that would be a good return providing we get back to current ways starting with Bournemouth in the New Year. Simplistic way of looking at it but whatever happens it's going to be fun watching us try and continue this amazing season. Roll on Saturday.
Webbo Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Man Utd.. We're going to draw 1-2 against Man City?
Nalis Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 As I've said in another thread I reckon... Man Utd.. H L Swansea.. A W Chelsea.. H W Everton.. A D Liverpool.A D Man City. H W 11pts
justfoxes Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Man Utd.. H Swansea.. A Chelsea.. H Everton.. A Liverpool.A Man City. H That's a challenging next 6! Will certainly define our season.. How many points can we realistically achieve? I'm going for... 9 First three games win 9pointsSecond three I'll go for draws 3points So I'll say 12points
Corky Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Looking further ahead, after mid-February we'll have Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham out of the way. The last three games look exceptionally tough (I expect Chelsea to have improved a lot by then). Mid-February to late April is a key part of the season, if we are to remain in contention for the top four/six/eight we really need to win plenty of matches in this time (it's basically the reverse fixtures of the games we've played from September to now).
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Somewhere between 0 and 18. Enjoy the ride.
Fox42 Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Somewhere between 0 and 18. Enjoy the ride. 17?
Ozwin Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 Anything around the 9/10 point mark would be fantastic. Imagine still being up and around the top 4 after these 6 games!? Would be dreamland.
ThingsCouldGetMessi Posted 23 November 2015 Posted 23 November 2015 I'm going for 8 points with 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats. Can look at any of the teams and see reasons why we might win but this is certainly a tricky run. I might get laughed at by a few on here but the game that worries me the most is actually Everton away.
