HKFox Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Outstanding again from Drinkwater, my only worry are the England friendly games coming up, and drinkwater and vardy being picked and playing in them, would prefer they missed them and concentrated on the remaining league games. Both easily should be in the team, drinkwAter and Kante best cm in the league, never see either of them lose a challenge, and both recover the ball so often.
waylander Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Drinky has everything including a great shot . But needs to hit the target more would score10 a season easy but everyone would want him then including woy
Out Foxed Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 i happened to be in the same bar as the boys celebrating drinkwater's birthday last night. you'll be please to know they were having fun and singing the "here's to you danny drinkwater" song.
VLC86 Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 He'll pick Jack Wilshere if he's on crutches, over Drinkwater or anyone else just in case there is a miraculous recovery. Never heard Coke called that before tbf.
vandamman Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 God. He's had a good season but I would still stick Drinky ahead of him.
ronnup Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 He really is our Scholes He really isn't. Did you ever see Scholes tackle people?
steflcfc Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Fantastic display again by Drinky. He has upped his game this season. I would put him in the 25m bracket price wise if someone was to try an prize him away! Regarding England he should start to get a look in there is no one better along with Alli at the moment. Dier and Noble are having excellent seasons also and should get the recognition they deserve esp the latter. It's players like Wilshire,Henderson,Delph,Mason when they have had very average seasons getting call ups is why there are so many things wrong with Woys thinking behind these call ups. The Man U player Rashford, why he talks about him with England is very embarrassing, if he played for let's say Norwich he wouldn't even be spoke about, another typical "big club" mentality.

Woy is a pussycat who is shit scared of Fookin things up again like he did at the last World Cup. Which WAS a monumental fook up. If we start in France with Drinkwater in the central midfield I'll be very very surprised. He SHOULD start..but I don't think he will. There has simply been no more consistent English midfielder all season.
possiblygeorge Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 He's had a good season but I would still stick Drinky ahead of him.
foxfanazer Posted 6 March 2016 Author Posted 6 March 2016 Hope United don't start to realise their mistake and try to re-sign him. He has the perfect footballing brain imo, so calm and decisive. He has so muvh determination and never moans when he's had spells on the sidelines. If the opportunity to go back to United came up do we think he'd take it? Is he a Man United fan?
steflcfc Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Your right Col these sort of changes Should be made but unfortunately won't. This is why England won't win anything with this mentality. I bet we could pick a starting 11 that won't go or not get used as they should, and I for one would fancy that side to beat the usual suspects who automatically get in the England team. Wether it's the FA,Image rights/sponsership/money or Roy it all needs a major shake up as it's clearly not worked at previous tounaments before woy and during his tenure now!
dylanlegend Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 He really isn't. Did you ever see Scholes tackle people? I agree, don't get the scholes comparison, more like a Iniesta type player I would say
Dan Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 The best transformation of a Leicester player ever? The days when he was shit and only passed backwards & sideways are long gone. The lad has been magnificent all season, controls most games, has great forward drive, picks out quality passes and puts in a shift defensively. I seriously believe if it wasn't for him & Kante we wouldn't be top, he fully deserves to go to the Euros. More so than that bloke who looked out of his depth after coming from Fleetwood? Great transformations in a lot of these players but none will top Vardy's ever. Sure of it.

But with Vardy...different gravy.
Dan Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I've always quite liked Drinkwater as a player to be honest, always thought he's got this particular playing style about him that makes him easy to warm to. He reminds me of a Spanish type of midfielder, composed, good on the ball, good vision etc... Vardy was different. I'm generally quite patient with players but I have on two different occasions thought "just get rid" and he's now the top scorer in the Premier League.

SpinneyHillRanger Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 I agree, don't get the scholes comparison, more like a Iniesta type player I would say fuchs i think referred to drinkwater as the English Pirlo, which is quite a good shout. If he can start taking set pieces like pirlo... that would be something
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/leicester-stars-refused-entry-london-7505775 Not very popular with London bouncers it seems!
Dan Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 Hahaha, I can kind of see what Fuchs is getting at there. Got more of an all-action swing to his game though. I'd say more a Luka Modric-type.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 6 March 2016 Posted 6 March 2016 United fans on the Red Cafe forum talking about Kante AND Drinky as being what they need to revitalise their midfield. Funny as hell given what they have spent.

Those cocky London wankers probably Gooners or Spuds and can't take it that they have blown the best opportunity to win the league in years,
