Stevosevic Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 There was only 3 games in November, Vardy scored in them all and set the PL record. Is he set for back to back awards? Who are the contenders?
kingcarr21 Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Kane has done good for Spurs but surely it has to go to Vardy again. Gone from strength to strength every week.
Fox92 Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11729/10079553/fans-player-of-the-month-shortlists-announced-as-sky-sports-team-up-with-the-pfadnp Chris Smalling (Manchester United) Deli Alli (Tottenham) Harry Kane (Tottenham) Jamie Vardy (Leicester) Jermain Defoe (Sunderland) Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) Philippe Coutinho (Liverpool) Riyad Mahrez (Leicester) Romelu Lukaku (Everton) Ryan Shawcross (Stoke) Virgil van Dijk (Southampton)
filbertway Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Lukaku has scored 5 in 4 this month and assisted 2. Ozil's had a pretty good month as well I think?
Captain... Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Not the official one, but I good idea of who he will be up against: http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11729/10079553/fans-player-of-the-month-shortlists-announced-as-sky-sports-team-up-with-the-pfadnp
kingcarr21 Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Lukaku has been immense. Also Smalling has been a rock at the back. He was Man Utd best player on Saturday by a mile. Still think Vardy should get it though. Although if Lukaku won it then cant complain. If someone like Dele Alli or Jermain Defoe wins it then that would be shocking
Oxfordfox83 Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 In absolute terms Lukaku probably deserves it, but for the story and everything else behind it it has to be Vardy. Doesn't it?
AKCJ Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Lukaku's has been outrageous this last month. If he doesn't win it'll be a bigger travesty than when Martial won it over Riyadh and Vardy earlier in the season.
lgfualol Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Lukaku should win. However, looking at that list it'll be either Kane, Smalling or Countinho.
urban.spaceman Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Lukaku should win in but I wouldn't be surprised if Vardy did again. Has anyone ever won it twice in a row?

ARM1968 Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Should be Vardy due to the record alone. Just watch him get snubbed.
filbertway Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Should be Vardy due to the record alone. Just watch him get snubbed. Well it's player of the Month, they can save that reasoning for when they announce the player of the season
syston_fox Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Has to be Lukaku in my opinion. Would be disappointed if Vardy wasn't presented with some sort of award to acknowledge the achievement though.
Captain... Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Has to be Lukaku in my opinion. Would be disappointed if Vardy wasn't presented with some sort of award to acknowledge the achievement though. He's not stopped yet, should be recognised at the end of the season after he has scored in 30 consecutive games, not in the middle of his run...
Xen Posted 30 November 2015 Posted 30 November 2015 Lukaku's, surely. Vardy has been consistent although he's not had the best all-round games aside from the goals (injuries probably haven't helped), but the fact he broke the record will put him ahead of most of the others.
LCCFox96 Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 I wouldn't begrudge it going to Lukaku, but Vardy has better claim than everyone else on that list.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 What about Manager of the Month - surely Claudio has a good case? Or Fat Sam for back to back wins? Or LVG for stopping the mighty Leicester from winning?
Littletoe Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 I think it would be criminal not to give it Vardy. How long will it be before someone else breaks his record? Another 10, 20, 30 years? With all the pressure riding on his shoulders and a few slight injuries, the lad done it. Called me biased as much as you want, but he deserves it.
Captain... Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 What about Manager of the Month - surely Claudio has a good case? Or Fat Sam for back to back wins? Or LVG for stopping the mighty Leicester from winning? They probably have to be the top 3 contenders, nobody managed 9 points, although Spurs played 4 games in November and didn't lose any of them, winning 8 points from 4 including tough games against Chelsea and Arsenal and Europa League commitments. Likewise Everton won 8 points in November, but that included dropping points to Bournemouth and West Ham
AKCJ Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 I wouldn't begrudge it going to Lukaku, but Vardy has better claim than everyone else on that list. He really doesn't. Lukaku should and will win.
SpacedX Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 He really doesn't. Lukaku should and will win. Nonsense, it should be awarded to Shinji for his goal of the season at Newcastle.
Captain... Posted 1 December 2015 Posted 1 December 2015 He really doesn't. Lukaku should and will win. I think he means everyone else other than Lukaku, at least that is how I read it. Although Kane also has a decent shout scoring 4 in the league and 2 in Europa League.
