EverybodyDannsNow Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 Us Leicester fans deserve this glory, we are the ones who have had to watch years of crap to get here. Your kids don't understand what it means to be a football fan. It is about loyalty and commitment, not swapping allegiances to simply add more glory to their lives when it suits them. My kids will never support anyone other than their local team. It's the way it should be
Webbo Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 Tell your kids to read the replies in this thread, then they'll never want anything to do with Leicester City again, if this is what Leicester fans are like. I'm not trying to patronize you Jordan but if you were English you'd understand ( even though it's only light hearted) When you've had the piss ripped out of you all your life by arm chair glory hunters who support whoever is top of the league that year you do get a little resentful.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 Quite easy i hear you say but heres the story ive ben an avid fan since i was a young lad and went to most home and away games in the pleat, little, mcghee, oneill and taylor years then marraige and kids forced me to cut down . as my kids have grown up ive tried to teach them about supporting your local team and being faithful and not a plastic fan of some big time club . so when xmas came around about 2003 i bought them a leicester shirt each and they seen a little wear here and there. fast forward to a couple of years ago the lads are 15 and 17 , the younger one quite proudly walks around in his man utd and barcelona tops and the other lad in his 3 different arsenal kits and his real madrid top . ive had stick for years from them both until the last few months and now a few weeks before xmas the converstion of what to get them comes up BOTH want leicester shirts for xams with vardy and mahrez on the back as the man utd lad has gone off them now and the arsenal lad has now decided he supports us the same as arsenal. Im thinking cheeky little feckers i aint having you start being plastic leicester fans after all these years but the wife thinks its a great idea your thoughts and have you been in the same position it so reminds me of when blackburn won the title you started seeing a lot of blackburn shirts about down melton road As a compromise get them United and Arsenal shirts with Vardy and Marhez on the back - hope that doesn't tempt fate mind!
Countryfox Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 I know they are probably a bit too old now and you may have missed the boat but you could try selling them to a chimney sweep. ...... and put any money raised towards a vasectomy.
kingfox Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 If you go ahead and do it, then I hope your 15 year old gets pinned down at school and they write embarrassment on his forehead with permanent marker.
EGBFitness Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 OP has definitely been #fearless with this thread Admitting to having plastic kids sorry thing is at least OP has admitted it, there will be a lot more plastics coming our way if we keep this form going
Jordan Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 I'm not trying to patronize you Jordan but if you were English you'd understand ( even though it's only light hearted) When you've had the piss ripped out of you all your life by arm chair glory hunters who support whoever is top of the league that year you do get a little resentful. It's all for a laugh, I'm just teasing the other way I'm sure we don't have it to the same degree, but it's also a problem here. We've even got several terms for a glory-hunter, like frontrunner, fair weather fan, Johnny-come-lately, etc. I'm about to go to work for a few hours with someone from the Bronx that likes the New England Patriots and the Cleveland Cavaliers (after being a Miami Heat fan until LeBron James left). I'm sure this drives me every bit as mad as all of you in this thread!
Drew Peacock Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 As a compromise get them United and Arsenal shirts with Vardy and Marhez on the back - hope that doesn't tempt fate mind! You would get the piss taken out of you though, as an Arsenal shirt with Mahrez spelt wrong would be a double embarrassment . How about a Bristol Rovers shirt with Kramaric?
FLAN Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 Used our promotion to move my 8 year old away from Chelsea to Leicester. Now he wouldn't wear anything else
Aus Fox Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 cheers for the replies guys im liking the buy them but burn theirs first idea but its the meddling wife with her its only football comments and a silly top comments that dont help . the elder lad was up and about this morning in his cup edition arsenal champions league shirt watching sky sports and said think your going to get hammered by chelsea monday just like we did to you . so there will be no leicester shirt for that kid off to town to buy a cheap lynx gift set Sorry, but the wife has to go too. Sounds like she is the real problem here. She has become an enabler, allowing your offspring to continue on their distructive path.If she stays around too long who knows where this could end up? A half half Man Utd Man City shirt next year? If you seriously want to save your children she has to go, then you can start slowly withdrawing other teams influence and introducing them to the correct way to live life. Good Luck, the path to enlightenment can be a long and dangerous one, I believe you have the courage to succeed, after all admitting you have a problem is the first step to recovery.
TeamRocket Posted 12 December 2015 Posted 12 December 2015 Bit strange that a 17 year old still wears football shirts out in public. Any lads over the age of 12 shouldn't be wearing football shirts imo. What why not i dont get that?i wear my shirt around Bolton always have and always will age shouldnt matter if you love the foxes enough then wear it till your 6 feet under

worthosoriginals Posted 13 December 2015 Posted 13 December 2015 Report yourself to social services For being a poor father. Await the full force of the law. Post back to us in the new year from prison.
Jattdogg Posted 13 December 2015 Posted 13 December 2015 Never. Thats their punishment for being misguided youth. If you ever do decide to bestow upon them such a great honour than make sure its from the ladies line of foxes gear with "turncoat" on the back
