I know Benny can play RB, but we have no-one to cover for the marvellous Fuchs. It only takes a turned ankle in the pre-match warm up, and we surely have to play a back 3, no matter what Claudio thinks. How quickly can we get Chilwell back, and why haven't we done it already? It would be a real shame, given how hard we have fought to get to the top, for us to start dropping points because we lack cover. Meow... must stop playing the buzzer game, it's not funny any more, apparently. :-) Edit: RDL and Schlupp are currently injured, this thread was meant to be about the short term full back cover, which we are struggling for over xmas, not people's long term thoughts. I'll try not too assume too much, and explain a bit more, next time!

Meow... must stop playing the buzzer game, it's not funny any more, apparently. :-) You simplycan't have top class back up players in every position, the reason we have an excellent sports science set up is to try and prevent players getting injured so we don't have to rely on back up players too often.

I'm sure Wasilewski can play a role across any of the back 4 if needed also. I'm more concerned with the lack of a 2nd striker to Vardy to be honest...

Especially at full back. we only have two fit ones! it's a problem no doubt but as Yanited showed last weekend, they had to employ two rookie FB's so squad depth isn't always the answer.

I think we're fine in numbers at the back for a team that doesn't play in Europe. I'm not say Was & Ben would be great at RB but both have played there and are adequate cover. We already have two out and out RB's and a third is unnecessary, if Simpson got injured whilst RDL is out that's just bad luck but we'll cope reasonably well putting Was or Ben there and expecting them to defend rather than run past Mahrez. Albrighton can play RB if necessery. I bet Kante wouldn't be too shabby in that position either.

Benny might just about work at RB, but Was is a non-starter, really. He would be targeted by opposition managers. I think we should get Chilwell back pronto, because it's busy at Xmas. My proof-reading needs a lot of work, because I had a good question to ask, and collectively, we should be concerned.

I'm sure he will have noticed the short term issue. There was a LB leaving the KP in a taxi, on monday night, maybe we could get him in. :xmassmile:
