Finnegan Posted 10 January 2016 Posted 10 January 2016 I think you're right. I think Shinji's best position is the no.9 role, which is good and bad. He'll have a hard time displacing Vardy from the first team, but on the plus side, he could still turn out to be a good option off the bench or when Vardy's not available. He has disappointed so far this season, but if he can put in more performances like this one, then I'm sure he'll be a valuable player for us. We still need a better no.10 or target man, though. To be fair to Shinji, I think Vardy has looked his best when he's had Shinji as a partner and I think without him he'd never have gotten the record.
