Buzzell Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Very good on his day but seems to be a bit of an arse at times. In a club pushing for Europe he could be worth the risk.
Bayfox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Tony Pulis or not, he threatened never to play for the Chairman at West Brom again and tried to force through a move to Spurs, he clearly thinks he is bigger than West Brom, now I'm sure we could pay him a good whack and are in a great position now, but if in a year or 2 we are mid table, what do you think is gonna happen then. Oh I know he will do the same to us, this team gets on and is built on that, for me, I'd say not thanks.
Dynamogoon Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 If our scouting team want him, who are we to argue? No one really knows what's gone on at a club behind closed doors, I wouldn't mind if we gave him a second chance so to speak. I'm sure the boys will do their homework
Kitchandro Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 He gets shoved out on the wing in a Tony Pulis side, if you were a young talented striker you'd want to leave as well. It's not just that though. You can tell when a player keeps banging on about having 'made it' with his 'I'd like to thank my mother' Oscar speech that he's got the wrong attitude. A while ago he was basically talking about himself as an inevitable regular in the England team when he got picked for the squad once. He's an absolute fool and I doubt he's got it in him to fulfil his potential. He is talented, but he's not nearly as good as he and the media make out and his attitude won't help.
foxfanazer Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 If he wasn't linked to us a lot of you would have a completely different opinion on Berahino. Now all of a sudden it's ' I wouldn't want to play for Pulis either' Absoulte bollocks. The club pays him to play and the fans pay to watch their club. Don't want anyone like that here thank you
Tuna Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Would ruin chemistry We could teach him how to use a Bunsen Burner.
Thracian Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Tony Pulis or not, he threatened never to play for the Chairman at West Brom again and tried to force through a move to Spurs, he clearly thinks he is bigger than West Brom, now I'm sure we could pay him a good whack and are in a great position now, but if in a year or 2 we are mid table, what do you think is gonna happen then. Oh I know he will do the same to us, this team gets on and is built on that, for me, I'd say not thanks. The first sentence does it for me. He made a threat and didn't have the bottle to carry it through. His career was more important than his word so I'd never trust the bloke and wouldn't bother with him. I'd see him as always likely to have his own agenda and act in his own interests first rather than the club's or that of his team-mates. At Leicester I don't believe the players would put up with it. All-for-one, one-for-all is like a given for The Foxes and has served them so well and with very few exceptions.
Max Power Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 I can't really judge someone's attitude so all I can comment on is his ability and he seems a good fit on that score. Quick and skilful with an eye for goal - would be a great addition alongside Vardy
Darkon84 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 It's a no from me. Personally, I think he's overrated, specially for the price West Brom want. Besides, I'm sure he has said he wants to go to Spurs and Spurs only? He's always come across as a nob too, such as when he said he would never play for the club again etc. I wouldn't blame that on Pulis either.
Tuna Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 What we are all saying about Saido you could also say about Raheem Sterling.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Just an upgraded DJ Campbell? I'm not sure he fits our team ethos, but he's undoubtedly a better finisher than our back ups. I'm not fussed either way, if he signs it's because the club want him, and that'll be good enough for me.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Possible smokescreen for Aboucar? It's important that prospective sellers know we have other options, but he is a quality young player, so he does fit the bill. Now we know Vardy hasn't trained for a month, I'm more open to another striker (although I think Shinji is a decent no9, now he has settled). Banzai!
Giggsy77 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 We all base is attitude on what we read in the media, no one can actually say, apart from our scouting team, what is attitude is like. The media grab a story and twist it to get the best angle on the story. If the wily old Steve Walsh says yes, then that's good enough for me. However, I think it will take a pretty hefty fee to get him here anyway.

Agree with this, although I think Shinji is a decent finisher, if he gets in the box often enough.

Lestoh Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Two scenarios if we signed him: 1. He'd be shit and it'd be a waste of money 2. He'd play well and be trying to force a move to Spurs by summer
Giggsy77 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 There's no smoke without fire True, but then the media will use the best angle to get people to buy the paper. I dont think West Brom and Pulis have handled the situation well at all.

I dont think West Brom and Pulis have handled the situation well at all.True. Think its a messy situation all round. He does strike me as that sort of player though. Think there are better, cheaper options out there
johnny the fox Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 No way he will come here.. this is just us sticking our nose in to help cause an auction and force others to pay over the odds..the lads attitude stinks.
Giggsy77 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 Possible smoke screen, Claudio is a cunning fox at the minute. Anything possible with the season we are having
foxes161 Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 I still think we need more support upfront for vardy. Next season should be a target for more scoring options.
les-tah Posted 15 January 2016 Posted 15 January 2016 This is probably to put people off the scent of our real target

Don't want anyone like that here thank you I wouldn't. I've thought Tony Pulis is a twat for years, even when everyone was calling for him and his anti-football tactics to try and keep us up last year. I think Berahino was stupid to spit his dummy out so publically over that transfer last summer, but does that mean I don't think any club should take him on? Whoever gets him will be getting an exciting young talent, no doubt about it, and my opinion won't change if he ends up at some other club or if he ends up staying at West Brom.
