steveherbe Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Mate of a mate lost his Bournemouth season ticket during the game against WestHam midweek. He went in next day to get a replacement, Bournemouth want to charge him a staggering £163 for a new one! How disgraceful is that? No wonder poor little Bournemouth can afford to pay massive transfer fees if thats how they treat a fan of 47 years.
AKCJ Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 That's scandalous. The sort of thing that the papers would love to hear about.
Larry_LCFC Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 That's disgusting. A club like that would be really screwed without their fans. Bournemouth isn't exactly a big place and they are hardly big overseas.
Matt Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Don't we get free replacement ones? I think you have to pay something like £10 for a replacment. Edit; 23. Leicester City Football Club cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for Season Cards that are either lost or damaged beyond use. A lost or damaged Season Card can be replaced for a fee of £10 in the first instance, with subsequent reissues charged at £30 per card. Stolen Season Cards will be replaced, without charge, if supported by a valid Police Crime Number. http://www.lcfc.com/documents/leicester-city-football-club-season-card-2015-16-terms-conditions280-2360508.pdf
Facecloth Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 They're pretty much charging him for the rest of the season again, despite already having received the money for those games. The robbing bastards.
steveherbe Posted 16 January 2016 Author Posted 16 January 2016 Yeah, mate did a quick survey of other teams, most charge between 10 and 20 quid. They have written to the club, and are threatning to go to social media unless they get a favourable result. I wont get an update until next week, but may be mobilising the FT family to write to Bournemouth directors - mate does have email addresses for all of them. Apparently it is in their T&C's that they can charge this. If he had lost it in the first half of the season, £326!!
steveherbe Posted 16 January 2016 Author Posted 16 January 2016 tbf he probably shouldnt have lost it Dropped his wallet apparently, all his cards fell out and he didnt realise he hadnt scooped his ST up. Accidents happen mate, could happen to anyone. But I realise you didnt mean it!

The most disgusting thing about this is that you are friends with a Bournmouth fan.
steveherbe Posted 16 January 2016 Author Posted 16 January 2016 The most disgusting thing about this is that you are friends with a Bournmouth fan. Work colleague! Got me called out by a steward at the away game just after I'd finished hanging our flags. "Come with me sir", thought I was being thrown out, he just wanted to say hello - bastard!
BoyJones Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 My lad misplaced his. Cost £10 for a replacement which is ok. But took four visits to TO because none of the staff knew what to do!
Facecloth Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 These two terms show the massive difference between our club and Bournemouth. In the event that you forget your Season Ticket in respect of any individual Match, the Club shall not be obliged to admit you or issue any other form of ticket for that Match. If a match-day duplicate ticket is issued, the Club may require payment of a non-refundable administration charge of the full match day price for the associated seat. 5.3 If, in the Club’s opinion, a Season Ticket is damaged, lost, stolen or destroyed, a duplicate Season Ticket shall be issued by the Club as soon as reasonably practicable after the payment of a non-refundable administration charge. This charge will be half the total value of the season ticket or £50 whichever is greater. In making its decision, the Club shall be entitled to call for all reasonable evidence of the need for a replacement Season Ticket, for example but not limited to a police crime reference number in the event that a Season Ticket is stolen, or the return of the damaged Season Ticket. Only one duplicate Season Ticket will be issued to you per season and you will be required to sign a document confirming that the original Season Ticket is damaged, lost, stolen or destroyed and indemnifying the Club against any direct or indirect consequences of such matter having been falsely represented or stated to the Club. Here they charge you £10 for a replacement and let you buy a refundable ticket should you forget it. Bournemouth are just saying a massive **** you to their fans. I also checked Bournemouth only charged £20 for a replacement last year. Obviously promotion has gone to their heads and they think they can treat fans like shit.
The Doctor Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Christ what an abhorrent club. Just another reason to pray they go down. You'd have thought after going so close to the wall within the last decade and relying on bucket collections from fans they of all might just remember how important fans are to football.
Fox92 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 Just shows how out of touch Premier League clubs are with their fans.
Number 6 Posted 16 January 2016 Posted 16 January 2016 That's poor. Clubs often know they've got hardcore fans by the balls and they'll pay whatever to see their team. Someone should ask fellow fans to chip in for it for him if the club continue.
stripeyfox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Christ on a bike. That's the sort of admin charge which would make the banks blush! There can't be any justification for it. Presumably it is a credit card type ticket (like ours). Surely they can just block the "lost" ticket and issue a new one. Admin fee of £10/£20 seems fair.
Facecloth Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Something isn't right with this story ! Such as?
Facecloth Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Going to look into this for my own confirmation. If it's true I'm going to see if we can't get this publicised! I posted the terms a few posts up, it's true.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 It's £30 to replace ours. That's fact. The season the season cards were introduced but they hadn't got the turnstiles working a few of us rang up and said we'd lost our tickets so they posted more out. Gave them out mates and hey presto- free season tickets lol
