Time to Stand up and be counted

Ok, the results and performances in the last few games have been a bit hit and miss.

But please don't fall into the pundits trap of thinking our bubble has burst. A lot of people on Foxestalk are still relatively positive but a few of the glass half empty brigade are readying they're "I told you so" statements.

We can still do this, we stand top of the league this morning, be positive, we can do it.

Let's do our bit now, let's get behind the team like we have for most of the season. At the Bournemouth game there were too many fans sitting quietly waiting for the win. We need to be on our feet making the noise we have become renowned for, whether winning, losing or drawing.

Let's be sure we can say we tried our hardest to back the team.

Let's start Wednesday night, let's raise the roof, then next Saturday lets drown out that awful 'Delilah' (I hate Stoke).

Come on City.

I'm positive, and I'll be there supporting as always, but I'm disappointed with yesterdays result there's no doubt about it.

I'm still feeling very positive. The Christmas and New year period is notoriously tough period, I'd argue they Claudio has managed it very well, had Riyad scored his pens we'd have a near-perfect record. I am concerned by yesterday's performance but you're always going to get shit performances every now and again.

That said, I think bringing in a new striker, in the mould of JV, is an absolute must this January. The guy is quite clearly playing through a significant injury and it's costing him and us.

That's cheered me up this morning. A sensible post looking forward and lookng for positives, instead of the majority of posters desperate to roll out the same old negative cliches. I don't visit the forum so much anymore because it's pretty depressing, but I get the feeling the mood was better 12 months ago when we were bottom!

As I said last night I'm disappointed at myself for feeling so negative after last nights game. We're having the season of our lives and it's easier than i thought to fall into the trap of expecting results every week. The Stoke game is enormous next week with Arsenal playibg Chelsea

Exactly, get behind the team. We're leicester not barcelona, to be top of the prem after a slip in form and a few doggo results is insane. We are safe now and guaranteed prem football next season, to have that in January is unbelievable!

We were bound to blip

Arsenal lost 4-0 to Southampton FFS

We will be grand , I still think we finish in top 5

Let's be honest, to finish 5th now would be a huge disappointment!

To lose top 4 at this stage, where we two penalties away from being 13 points clear, would be gutting.

I will be there in midweek like I was at Swansea etc. I get the impression that some of the fans on here are becoming like the Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea fans are, one blip and they come out of the woodwork to complain and criticise the club and the players. Some of you for god's sake seem to forget that last season at this stage we were in the bottom 3 now we are in the top 4 suddenly we should be beating everybody football doesn't work like that. Villa yesterday were fighting for there lives like we were last season if you don't like it don't go.

glass half empty brigade if you meant pessimistic.

We'd have taken this position if offered to us in early/mid December, so things are looking great.

The next month of fixtures are the toughest run of the season however, and we absolutely have to play our part. Not just being as loud as possible but reducing the moaning and groaning to a minimum. That's not a criticism because I couldn't help myself last night, but it only adds to the extra pressure and burden on the players.

If we're still top 2 by the end of Feb then something special is on the cards.

My mate and I set us a 10 point challenge for the six games that began at Spurs. That would give us 50 from 26 and keep us in touch. So now i'd like 6 from 4. Stoke, Liverpool, City and Arsenal.

Draw, win, draw, draw?

Think our best chance is win, win, lose, lose. But two wins in a row is a big ask with how we're playing at the moment. I'd take four points from our next four to be honest.

Yea that's where it's all gone mental

We have all lost perspective

I sort of agree with you

But when you look at this team and squad 5th is amazing achievement

But I think we wil sneak 4th

Exactly this. Think back to the night before the Sunderland game, we would have all took 17th and ranieri to last until Christmas without getting sacked. Now a few months later we are all upset about being top and drawing away from home. This squad cost nothing, theyre doing brilliantly.

Thinking of finishing 5th WAS mental before the season started.. But.. It's mid January, 16 games left, we're top...

So to finish 5th NOW would be classed as failure?

Good post. To be fair I'm quite optimistic we could still finish top 4. It's an amazing season we're having and I'm just enjoying being part of the top 4 in top flight English football. As I'm sure others will, I'll be supporting the lads every game from now until May in the hope we can see Champions League football for Leicester City.

Amen.

When all is said and done, it is still only football.

I think the Stoke game will be very hard.

Football isn't all about life and death.. It's much more important than that..
