Ulloa's Performance vs Stoke

Yes, he had been out of form the past few games, but most of you were way to quick to criticize and say he's not good enough for our squad.

He was immense today, didn't put a foot wrong, and we dominated the game after he came on. Hope today's performance and his goal helps his confidence. On form he is great, as he proved at the start and end of last season, and he offers something different, often causing confusion in the box on set plays.

Big improvement from him I must say and glad to see him on the scoresheet. Hope that goal now gives him the confidence to find the net more. Still need a new striker though.

He was excellent, hold up play, strength, positioning and defensive work. Well worth his goal today, hopefully that gives him a boost and we see more of that Ulloa.

1 goal in your previous 20 appearances it not good enough, at the bottom end of the table let alone the top.

I like him, but his not good enough for a team with top 4 ambition

Was good today, credit where it's due.

He's alright when we're pressing high up the pitch, like today, but when we're playing our 11-men-behind-the-ball style play (eg, Tottenham cup game) then there's no point in playing him.

But wasn't vardy's record similar last season?

20 odd good minutes after a season of being massively underpar compared to the rest of the squad... not sure you're in any place to criticise people for over-reacting to a couple of performances. If he pushes on and plays like that more regularly, great, but just one cameo isn't going to change that his performances so far have shown him not good enough

To say he was immense is far too much praise for a 30 minute performance in which he won 2 headers.

Credit where its due, he won the flick and was there to poke in a simple finish.

Kante and Drinkwater were immense today, Ulloa gave a decent performance which was long overdue.

Very impressive display from him when he came on. Good positioning for his goal. Nice touches, linked up the play well, overall very decent.

I hope he can take confidence from today's goal heading into the other games. I certainly feel he's got a role to play for us this season. Gets into the right attacking positioning and today proved that.

Someone said a few days ago that he should never wear the shirt again. Who was that and where are they now???

ahh..welcome to the internet...the one place on the planet where the cause and effect of natural selection has no meaning

In a 4-4-2 he's good

This. I said against Spurs midweek he's a lot better when he's got support alongside him.

He played well today but stoke were really poor in the second half.

Deserved his goal but people shouldn't be getting carried away by a fairly decent 20 minutes (against a team playing badly) when he's been poor for most of the season so far

Hopefully he does gain some confidence from this and grabs a few more in the rest of the season

If he's to effectively hold the ball up he needs support and if he is to score goals he needs clear cut chances, basically the same as any target man in the world. It's not rocket science.

Stoke were made to look ordinary, they are a good Prem team but we kept the ball quite well and never gave them the time to settle.

Ulloa looked a very different player to how he has been recently, though his first shot on at goal after going past two players was well wide the intent was there, unlike previous matches this season where he would hold onto the ball and lose it or try a silly pass.

Basically he looked more confident today and linked well with Vardy and Mahrez, though he was lucky Shinji was unjured because he would not have got a chance the way Shinji was playing.

Good feet from him on occasions today, even though that's not what you'd normally expect of him.
