Steven Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Will our Championship winning experience prove useful in the following weeks?
Danizen Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 In terms of coming up against different teams every week and still finding a way to consistently get results it will help. In terms of media pressure, what our players will be under over the next few months will be a world away from what they experienced in the Championship. The whole world will be watching and an increasing number of them will be dead against us winning the league.
fuchsntf Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 No. NO then No again. Championship, a couple of avg, then poor results, doesnt stop the roll PL. 15 games to go , we know we need to keep rolling along. The intensivity and quality needed are greater.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I think it does help to a degree because in the championship in order to be successful you have to be consistent, like we were in that campaign when we were the champions. It's one of the reasons we are where we are now, we have the knowledge of just how important consistency is. We are consistently getting decent results, rarely losing, a majority of the time winning and if not winning then we're more often than not, drawing games. We're picking up points despite not playing well at times.
Captain... Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Yes, but so will the great escape, and the mid season blip last season. This team has been through a lot together and they are capable of amazing things. It will help them to focus on just one game at a time and block out the bigger picture.

EnglishOxide Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Yes, but so will the great escape, and the mid season blip last season. This team has been through a lot together and they are capable of amazing things. It will help them to focus on just one game at a time and block out the bigger picture. I genuinely think we would not be the team we are now if it wasn't for last seasons winless run and the winless run of 12/13. It's what builds character. It's what lead to the Championship title and the great escape. It's what sets us apart from other teams who have tried to do what we are doing and repeatedly failed.
FoxCal Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I think the experience of our collapse the year before when we only won three of our last seventeen league games or whatever and basically threw the league away will be more helpful in all honesty. Fair enough, you don't have the league won in February (which should serve as a reminder not to get carried away, and take it as it comes) but we were more than comfortable and then inexplicably fell apart.
Guest Bilo Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 Yes. We're a team that has become accustomed to ending the season on a high as a result of having to do so that season. We looked dead and buried in March, but the rest was history. This team has experience of performing under pressure when it has to, a trait that will be invaluable over the coming weeks.
weller54 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 No no no no no no no no no no no no no no! ....Yes!
Fox42 Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 No no no no no no no no no no no no no no! ....Yes!
MakingEmileOfIt Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 I think our battle with relegation last year will prove more help to the team.
STUHILL Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 definitely. I think Kasper has already mentioned it. Pressure of winning week in, week out when at the top. A lot of these players have experienced that with us. Will help for sure
BoyJones Posted 24 January 2016 Posted 24 January 2016 No way. Two things are chalk and cheese. Like saying making a mean beans on toast is key in helping you prepare a seven course banquet for the Queen.

dylanlegend Posted 25 January 2016 Posted 25 January 2016 What is the point of this thread? Most ridiculous question ever. Is that you Ian? (Stringer)
