fuchsntf Posted 16 February 2016 Author Posted 16 February 2016 I honestly dont see this laying-deep situation as a problem. Its the time of year, #when a single point aint going to change the bottom 6 fortunes. # Teams trying to steal in for 4th spot. # Teams still hoping for top 6 # decent money for top 8 to 10th. Southampton, Watford, Everton, Lpool, Wham, Manu, all will want to push it. Their results against the top 4, will decide the title and positions there in. plus will define their own season. It still stays for me...one game at a time and enjoy the view, after each game, to feel + taste the ride.
fuchsntf Posted 16 February 2016 Author Posted 16 February 2016 Don't know if this helps anyone but I've produced a slightly neater set of fixtures myself Big thx, I was trying to get a table into the post but couldnt translate it into the forum. Sometimes it works in other forums, I am gaffing it somewhere with my tablet..
Nalis Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Imagine us Bing 1 pint in front of Arsenal LAst game there 6 up at villa were 1-1 at Chelsea John terry has the ball in his own area 90th min ...... You know the rest I think I'd feel cheated, would rather we won it on our own terms than relying on assistance from others.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 18 February 2016 Posted 18 February 2016 would be interesting to see which of these teams have cup/european commitments along with whether they are top 6, mid table or relegation battlers.... would give more indicators as to what sort of difficulty to expect in each fixture.

The FA Cup could likely be won by a team in the top 6, so any team near 7th has something to fight for (or possibly to avoid). 11th placed Everton are only 5 points behind 7th placed West Ham.
AyewJoking Posted 18 February 2016 Posted 18 February 2016 With our favourable run in I feel we dont have to win them all. All the contenders will slip up at some point which allows us to slip up too, something we've been pretty good at avoiding anyway The outlook changes every game( ) so i can only look as far as the next one. I'd expect wins for Manc, Spurs and us and a point for Arse.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 18 February 2016 Posted 18 February 2016 I'd expect the same for the rest of the season, taking it 1 game at a time. If we start looking at what other teams are doing, looking 3 games ahead and changing what has got us to where we are right now then that would be insane. If we get into the Champions League this season then it's been a miracle of a season. If we win the league then we will have to place a new word in the dictionary because words can't describe what it would be.... Maybe if it happens, the word will be "Leicester" haha.

biggs Posted 18 February 2016 Posted 18 February 2016 Just watched football today with Savage and Owen looking at the fixtures in. Both picked Leicester to win it all. Hearing that gave me the same nervous feeling I have before every kickoff
Foxxed Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 Every game is a must win. Otherwise, sloppy thinking: dodgy back passes, one too many yellows, an elbow in the face that's actually seen by the ref!
NotTheMarketLeader Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 It appears to be a decent run-in for us, but I do worry about playing relegation battling sides... we won't be able to use our 4-4-2 system as effectively, as outlined here https://www.the-newshub.com/football/unconventionally-conventional-the-secret-to-leicester-citys-success They will lie deep, and defend and hope to use the counter-attack against us... taste of our own medicine. Hopefully ranieri can produce a plan B for us! I agree with this, some of these games are going to be similar to the Bournemouth game - teams defending very deep, which as we know not best suited to our style of play. Every game before you start in the PL looks difficult, or at least you can think of scenarios where things can go wrong. I think it's important we just go for it every game from the get go, both team and fans alike and see where it takes us. Ever since the Man City win I've been thinking about us winning it, whereas before I thought finishing 4th would be as good as it could possibly get. Now I'm feeling the strain which is a complete load of bollocks, and that's how the team should tackle it. Ie, BOLLOCKS TO IT and let's try and enjoy it.

Dan Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 I'm not in the slightest worried that English teams' success in Europe will stop us. They're nowhere near good enough. No wins from four again this week.
kam6 Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 ****, i hope that i am wrong with my prediction! Leicester 22 point / finish on 75 Spuds 27 points / finish on 78 Arse 25 points / finish on 76 Man Shitty 19 points/ finish on 66
Bamba's Babes Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 23pts.........................24pts..........................21pts.........................24pts........................ Champions.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 Two of our last three games are looking very tough. We will need a few points in hand.
oxtonfox Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 Given the title of this post - I think we will all be broken down by the last fixture. Seriously there is some irony in the fact that if we have a chance of winning then our last game is at the holders with Claudio returning to his old haunt. That would be unbelievable imagine the Sky round the grounds cameras going ballistic. Looking at the run-ins I think the following: Spuds have the easiest last 12 with exception of the north London derby match. The other 3 still have to play the Villa so they are all guaranteed 3 points there and Gooners have them at home in the last game! We have 7 at home, City have only 5 and the others 6 a piece. Advantage us. The other 3 have to play each other with Arsenal to play both Man City & Spuds. Advantage us. We have the toughest last 3 If we don't win I would rather Man City of the other 3 do. Too hard to analyse too much at this stage though I think our biggest risk is injuries to: Vardy or other two strikers because our striker cupboard is bare. Got a feeling Kram will have to come back at some stage. Schmiechal has to stay fit! Kante and Drinky are key tfor us though King, Inler, James, Amartey are possible backups. Next 2 and half months are going to be fantastic
st albans fox Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 Kram can't come back. Spurs have chsea and West Ham away. London derbies which will be v tough They have to go to anfield (where they have a poor record) and the Brit. United will raise their game at WHL and the North London derby is more likely a draw than anything else. To say they have the easiest last 12 is just wrong.
FireFox Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 Last minute Aguerooooo goal against Arsenal to win us the league regardless of the Everton or Chelsea result.
Strokes Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 We took 32 points from them fixtures in reverse, if we do that again we are champions
dylanlegend Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 I'm just gutted there is no game this weekend... Need the Norwich game to hurry up!
dylanlegend Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 Looking at the run in.. All teams play Utd... I hope they sack Van Gaal and get Mourinho in or it's an easy 3 points for all
NewEnglandFox Posted 19 February 2016 Posted 19 February 2016 Looking at the run in.. All teams play Utd... Guest LCFC_World Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 I'd be very happy with champions league, anything else is a bonus. I'm not getting ahead of myself because the thought of Wes Morgan lifting the PL trophy is mad, and would be the greatest thing anyone has ever seen in PL history...
Nalis Posted 20 February 2016 Posted 20 February 2016 Man U away for Arsenal next week doesnt look quite as tricky...
