ozleicester Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 at a VERY rough guess, i came up with the following... Arse - 26 points...... Spurs 26 points ............ Manchester .25 points.............LCFC 28 points We win the league ! Its entirely possible that the last game of the season could see us playing for the league Logic suggests our run in is the best... but, as with every day, match, year... we are Leicester
Marmite Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I think it's between us Arsenal and Spurs now. I don't think Manchester City announcing the change in manager has helped the team at all and will struggle to have the passion and fight to become champions.
Livid Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Arsenal having Villa at home last game, if it goes to the wire we'll be needing something at Chelsea.
nnfox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Practically every week, one of us has a big game involving each other or Man U or Liverpool or Chelsea. There will be plenty of twists in this yet. If we replicate our results from the first half of the season, we win I'm sure.
m4DD0gg Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 urgh this is so close, to be honest i would rather us play the bigger clubs every week as there is less pressure. the likes of watford, norwich and west ham all have some big incentives to win
Nalis Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Rough guess... Arsenal 25 Spurs 24 Man City 27 Leicester 23 2nd to Arsenal on GD whilst admittedly being conversative with ours. Lots of factors will come into play during the run in though like injuries / suspensions / form of other teams / if Arsenal or Nan City get far in the Champions League etc...
Happy Fox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Arsenal having Villa at home last game, if it goes to the wire we'll be needing something at Chelsea. There is no f**king way Chelsea would want Arsenal to win the league. John Terry own goal in the 90 minute to help us out.
Mikey Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 10-12 points from the next 4 is crucial really if we want top spot.
Devonfox1884 Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 There is no reason why we can't go unbeaten in the next 9. Seriously. Obviously, it would be important that the majority of those games are wins. We can easily take something at United if we play anywhere near as well as we have in the last couple, and the same applies to a win against Everton. Chelsea will be difficult, but what will they have to play for? I'm confident. Sunday will be our catalyst. 28 points.
Loggy88 Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I think we will win the next 2 games at home to Norwich and West Brom. It could easily go to the last day at Chelsea with the title race still wide open. Let's try to enjoy it as much as possible without feeling too much pressure because it's just been an incredible rise is season.
oxfordfox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but this season the club finishing fourth might not qualify for the Champions League. This is because the winners of the Europa League and Champions League are guaranteed a Champions League place, and no country can have more than five clubs in the competiton. So if Liverpool or Man U win the Europa League, and Chelsea win the Champions League, and none of these finish top four ... the club in fourth place goes into the Europa League instead.

The only thing I'm confident on this season is that Chelsea will not win the Champions league. That is pretty much impossible so we don't have to worry about this scenario.

FireFox Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 I want it to happen so bad. With Spurs or Arsenal 4th! But Chelsea won't win the CL. And I doubt an English club will win the EL.
David Lowe Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 At first glance it looks like 9 reasonable fixtures followed by 3 tricky ones. However, those last 3 games could be against mid-table sides who have little to play for. Man Utd and Chelsea may also rather see us win the league than other contenders. Therefore the earlier matches against Southampton, West Ham and Watford may be more difficult.
Harry - LCFC Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Don't know if this helps anyone but I've produced a slightly neater set of fixtures myself
cjslcfc Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Deja Vu?? (sort of...) 2014-15: last 9 fixtures (7 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw) West Ham (H) - won WBA (A) - won Swansea (H) - won Burnley (A) - won Chelsea (H) - lost Newcastle (H) - won Southampton (H) - won Sunderland (A) - draw QPR (H) - won 2015-16: last 9 fixtures Newcastle (H) Palace (A) Southampton (H) Sunderland (A) West Ham (H) Swansea (H) Man Utd (A) Everton (H) Chelsea (A) Granted these fixtures are completely different in their outlook as a lot of the teams mentioned are in very different positions this season. It was just interesting to note some similarities in our run-in to last year.
Marky mark Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 Imagine us Bing 1 pint in front of Arsenal LAst game there 6 up at villa were 1-1 at Chelsea John terry has the ball in his own area 90th min ...... You know the rest
james09 Posted 16 February 2016 Posted 16 February 2016 It appears to be a decent run-in for us, but I do worry about playing relegation battling sides... we won't be able to use our 4-4-2 system as effectively, as outlined here https://www.the-newshub.com/football/unconventionally-conventional-the-secret-to-leicester-citys-success They will lie deep, and defend and hope to use the counter-attack against us... taste of our own medicine. Hopefully ranieri can produce a plan B for us!

Hopefully ranieri can produce a plan B for us! This is true I guess, but apart from a dour draw away at Villa and a home draw against Bournemouth which we would have won both if it wasn't for missed penalties, we haven't had any issues putting sides away at that end of the table all season. We aren't going to win all the games against teams like WBA, Norwich, Sunderland, Swansea and Newcastle (who I'd see as the ones likely to shut up shop from the outset) but if we can pick up 3 wins out of the 5 and a draw or two, we will still be bang on track.
