Didn't see the game today, am I right in thinking this is how we finished the game?

Even if not, with Schlupp back I can see it having it's place in our title run in. When teams dig in having two out and out wide players and two strikers, with Mahrez in the middle of it all, is probably going to be our best chance of breaking down deeply entrenched teams.

Schmeichel

Was Huth Morgan

Albrighton --------------------- Schlupp

Drinkwater Kante

Mahrez

Vardy Okazaki/Ulloa

 Sexy.

Fuchs is not a CB.

He hasn't mentioned him as a CB ???

Would you care in the 85th minute while a goal down? Read my post before you try and be clever.

85th minute with a goal down, why waste a man at CB?

Need to do something to break down teams better when they play like that.

Since swapping Albrighton for Gray incase he can break defences down better seems unlikely, five in the midfield seems a good option.

I liked Schlupp today--gave us a needed boost of attacking pace.

When Ulloa came on, he held up his hand, I think to indicate five across the middle, so three at the back and two up front, but I'm not sure how that would have worked out. Before we scored, we seemed to be playing with five up front (Albrighton, Mahrez, Ulloa, Vardy and Schlupp), but who gives a flying one. We won, and that is all that counts.

It definitely makes sense to go three at the back to mix it up against teams that sit back and have no attacking threat.

Only thing Claudio got wrong today was timing. Earlier in the season he was changing the dynamic of matches at half time, today he waited until 75 mins really.

It was good to see a formation change when things weren't working but I wouldn't expect to start with it, nor would I want him to. 442 has worked so well all season and it's nice to have an option if things do need to change, particularly if in their match prep, our opposition has only focused on our use of 442. With a switch in formation, they'd be at a loss.

I think it's an option we should consider for games like today - and with West Brom and Newcastle to come there will be more games like this.

Vardy was hopelessly isolated against 3 centre backs today and Norwich had no attacking intent whatsoever for the most part. A 3-4-1-2 brings Mahrez into the centre and still leaves Albrighton and either Schlupp or Fuchs for a creative outlet if Mahrez gets shut out.

Today we needed that tactical change to find that space that led to the goal. I think we are better as 4-4-2 but it was the right decision at the right time today.

It's not the formation as much as we allowed ourselves to be tremendously outnumbered in the box and didn't commit people forward. The short personnel doesn't help draw defenders or win in the air either. Okazaki and Vardy vs. 5 defenders and there is only going to be 1 winner. Leo and Vardy with either winger in the box and we give ourselves many more options and a much better chance of scoring.

Trust in the godfather so many moaning today . the best I have seen the Norwich play this season defensively . it will be 442 and then adapt to suit which he  is brilliant at, up the city !!!

Main thing for me today was our substitutions were at least trying to change the way the game was heading, which was nil nil. I'm not saying it was tactical genius but the fact Ranieri regonised we probably weren't going to win the game playing as we were (twice) was enough for me. We were a bit lucky today but I think we deserved it for the above reasons. Too many times you'll just see managers change like for like in the hope something changes and for that we can only say well played Don Claudio!!
