Next 2 games.....massive!

Recommended Posts

We have Southampton home and Sunderland away, difficult games as they're no easy games in this league but some would believe them less difficult than Spurs next 2, being Liverpool away and Man U home.

Psychologically, gaining more points than Spurs in these 2 games would be a massive advantage. Best case scenario, they lose both and we win both, we could be 11 points ahead with 5 games to go.

I know nothing is certain in this game but that would be an unbelievable position to find ourselves in. Could it happen? I really hope so. COYF's!

Psychologically

Is there really anything as ungrounded as backseat psychology? Both sets of players are professionals and at the very least, our set of players are saying the right things and tempering expectations (since sadly, being backseat psychologists matter to the media and fans).

Each of our remaining seven matches is massive and is potentially the biggest match in our club's history. It'll be a fun and stressful ride.

Southampton will be hard.... the worse thing that can happen is our players start thinking like fans and take the likes of Southampton lightly. Thankfully I don't think Ranieri will allow our players to let our levels drop.

I'm worried about international duties tbh.... loads of players get injured with the mickey mouse techniques and assistants used during international duty.  I wish both Kante and Drinkwater the best.... but pray they don't pick up any knocks

What is it with people Spuds win and the twitchy arse brigade are out! Theres is not one of them teams that wouldn't trade positions with us. 5 points clear 7 left to play, one game at a time ffs.

Agreed. I think Spurs will drop points  vs. Liverpool. If we can be 7 or 8 points ahead with 5 to play then that may just feel like a step too far for them. Plenty of ifs, buts and maybes though!

Spurs are very good outfit, but I'm expecting them to drop some points and I expect us to drop points.

We just do we, concentrate on what we are doing and we'll be fine.

There's not one game that's not massive until we are mathematically champions. We are 5 pts clear and there's not one team in the final 7 games doing better than us. Spurs are playing well and so are we. The competition is great and we have the 5 pt advantage.

We've lost 4 games in 40. No better record in the premier league. For those that don't understand.....this demonstrates how good we are...better than all the rest. Try and embrace it. I'm having a ball. Maybe you worriers can join in the fun and accept your Leicester are worthy of winning this division. There's every reason in my world to believe we can win the final 7 games

We will beat Southampton at home, I am very confident of it. Sunderland concerns me more, they are desperate and its at their ground, That game might be difficult for us. if we get 4 points from the next 2 games then I will be happy with that.

In my opinion we need to equal what Spurs do or better.

I respect your opinion, but surely this has fvck all to do with your opinion. If we equal or do better than Spurs, we're going to win the League, because we are already five points ahead. Or have I missed something?

you could argue our game against southampton would be tougher than spurs' game with liverpool (looking at the table)

i think we'll take a point each, the gap stays at 5, spurs with a slight moral victory as a point at anfield is better than a point at home to southampton.

All we can do is look after our own performances and results and we could do no more than win this weekend and we did that. We are 1 game nearer our goal and the Man City loss almost does for them. Our rivals still need us to drop points and keep winning themselves, Man City now look done for as rivals for the title and  their loss to Man UTD not only helps us but means Utd are looking at a CL place and they travel to Spurs in a couple of games and Utds season could be over by the time they meet us if  they do not keep on winning,no games are easy but would rather have our next 2 games and a 5 point lead than anybody in the leagues fixtures.

As for Spurs if they can win all their remaining games then fair play to them and they still need us to drop 5 points. Claudio was right in taking it one step at a time a win over Southampton just about guarantees  a Europa league spot then we can look towards the next goal. One step at a time is all we can do.
