davieG Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Vinnie Jones lined-up to play former Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson in Jamie Vardy film By Leicester Mercury | Posted: April 13, 2016 Vinnie Jones lined-up to play former Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson Comments (0) Vinnie Jones is the man the makers of the Jamie Vardy movie want to play former Leicester City bossNigel Pearson. The Mercury conducted a poll last week to discover who readers thought would be best equipped to play Pearson, who paid £1 million to bring Vardy from non-league football to City in 2012. Nearly 75 percent picked the former Wimbledon, Leeds United and Wales midfielder, ahead of Jason Statham and Ray Stevenson, and it appears the producers of the movie agree with the Leicester public. Jones certainly has the same steely glare and hard-man image as Pearson. Read more: Jamie Vardy film could be in cinemas by this time next year The screenwriter and producer of the movie, award-winning filmmaker Adrian Butchart, said he hoped to begin filming later this year, with a possible release date next year. "We have to wait until after the European Championships in the summer because we want his story to play out, but we are going all guns blazing to shoot as soon after that as possible, maybe September, October and November time and then, as long as everything goes to plan, we would like to see it released this time next year," he said. Read more: Jamie Vardy reveals who he would like to play his character in his film Butchart is in the process of finding possible candidates to play Vardy, who took his tally for the season to 21 with his double at Sunderland on Sunday, and became the first City player since Gary Lineker in 1985 to break the 20-goal barrier in the top flight. One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson is currently the bookmakers' favourite to play the role, with Zac Efron and Robert Pattinson also touted as possible candidates. Read more: One Direction singer could star as Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy in new film Although Butchart has said the movie is a human story as much as a football tale, there will be magicalVardy moments included in the film, with some of Vardy's landmark goals featured, including his strike against Manchester United that saw him set a new Premier League record for scoring in 11 consecutive games, surpassing the previous record of Ruud van Nistelrooy. Manwell Pablo Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 The GOAL series? Terrible films that got progressively worse, unfortunately the bloke who wrote the first one is writing Vardys film. I'd say the chances of it being any good are slim but I should imagine we will all enjoy it even If it makes Batman VS Superman look critically acclaimed.

Manwell Pablo Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Goal 1 is classic. Have a word mods. It's the best of the series but it's still average as anything.
rico Posted 13 April 2016 Author Posted 13 April 2016 Goal 1 is classic. Have a word mods. Goal 1 had a great soundtrack ,maybe Kasabian could do Jamies?

Kitchandro Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 This is going to be shocking isn't it Just hoping it shows the club in a good light. I worry they'll try to milk the fairytale angle and talk about us as if we're Yeovil instead of a club which average's crowds that at least belong in this division. Other than that I'm looking forward to the cheesiness.
Darkon84 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I'm really not looking forward to this. It'll make us an absolute laughing stock and turn our incredible achievement (should we complete it), in to a joke for some people.

Don't make me laugh - you're a failure. Just like yer brother." "I'll show you, father! I will be a famous soccer ball player and make my brother, who died of cancer two years ago, proud! And you - you'll be stuck in this hovel, growing older and more bitter - resentful of the fact that you never made it as a pro yourself..."
