STUHILL Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Crappy game but I only thought Sunderland would score with some luck, They just didn't have the quality to bother us otherwise. Very fortunate with the Rodwell chance as I don't know how he missed that. In saying that, we had so many chances in the last 15minutes so 2-0 probably flattered them in the end. Thought Mahrez had a stinker and I would be tempted to get Gray on earlier if he carries on like that. Kante and Drinkwater were incredible and I thought Albrighton was our best attacking player in the first half with some great balls and always works so hard. I am a MAN U fan for the next 90mins. Please do us a favour!
Leicesterpool Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Sky were just saying we can clinch it in two weeks' time. But if Spurs lose today, we win next Sunday and Spurs lose a week tomorrow, we'll be 13 clear with four matches left. So potential we could win it by next week? Just incredible, words cannot describe what's going on at the moment. It took us ten years to get back into the top flight, and now it's just took us two to get in the premier league, survive and win the league! On Sunderland it sounded like to me Allardyce as just waved the white flag, he didn't sound to confident about there crunch game next week at Norwich. To be honest they defended quite well and made us sweat and change gear. What let them down was up front, apart Rodwell's chance that should have gone in they never really looked like scoring. People on social media are criticising Albrighton, but he was one of the best players on the field today.
STUHILL Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Fuchs was immense today for me, and what an excellent cameo from Gray. In love with this team. Agreed, Was our stand out defender and to play so well with being on a yellow for the most the game too. An incredibly assured performance.
Clever Fox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Another new record achieved today. 5 consecutive clean sheets in 5 games for the first time in our history, in the Premier League. A season of new records, achievements and memorable moments. Phenomenal. Is it also five 1 nils. in the same five games.

No matter; I've said all along 76 points will be enough and I stand by that. We'll beat both Swansea and Everton at home at least. I think we've done it now.
Thracian Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Sunderland seemed sapped of energy second half and were completely overwhelmed when they were chasing the game at 0-1. Suddenly the burden lifted from our shoulders and we started passing the ball to feet. First half we needn't have had any feet cos the ball was floating around in the air like a visiting planet. Vardy was remarkable. They could have laid him down on a park bench til he scored cause he was like an animal waiting to wake from winter's hibernation. But he showed a few fumblers on the pitch what it takes to be a master marskman with two finishes so clinical he could be working for the NHS if their staffing levels get stretched any further. Never mind Kante this time, good though he was. Vardy stole man of the match because those goals and that victory was such a body-blow to the now-lone North London ranger still realistically left in the chase. But, it's a momentous day anyway because Champions League now looks all but guaranteed although quite how we'd survive in that on our first half performance would be a wonder to behold. Once again, special praise to the defence. Five successive clean sheets and 14 for the season makes 'em meaner than Scrooge. No such mention for Mahrez. He was like a clockwork Ladybird that had lost its key today but, thankfully, the 10 team tigers who were wound up proved sufficient. Wherever Mahrez has gone for most of the last two games I hope he hurries back for the finale.
HighPeakFox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Is it also five 1 nils. in the same five games. Um............
AKCJ Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Absolutely gutted. I had money on 1-0 Only joking, get in lads.

Nothing decided yet but we are getting closer and more importantly not giving anyone hope that we'll slip up.
Far Post Gerry Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Great Result, Terrible performance. It's clear the pressure was getting to our players in the first half. I thought Mahrez should have been subbed at half time he wasn't offering anything. Kante, Huth and Morgan were our best players today, while Drinkwater Albrighton worked hard. Still no one will remember the performance only that we won again. Great Result. Onwards and upwards we go. That was never a terrible performance. First half weren't great, but second i thought we were excellent (that Rodwell chance aside). To be honest i think this shows just how good our escape act last year was. S'land looked scared to lose (especially Borini and their forwards). Just like this time last, we showed belief and strength.
Thracian Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Jack Rodwell, my hero..... The ball had been played in the air for so much time til then, he must have thought there'd been a rule change!
nico777 Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Edge Of Myocardial infarction How on earth are Leicester fans coping? Being just one goal up in the last few games must have been so stressful, I was watching the game from behind the sofa and I'm an Arsenal fan! If I'm nervous what on earth is happening to you guys? My nerves aren't just in relation to the horrific prospect of Spurs winning the title but I really want to see Leicester do this, its a remarkable story, sporting wise one of the greatest ever. And I can say one thing having Ranieri as your coach makes it even better as he's a thoroughly nice guy, he's got more class in one finger than most of the PL managers put together. Would other fans be rooting for Leicester if they had someone like Mourinho in charge? I really do think its about both the team and your manager here in terms of other fans support.
Kendal Fox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 This is what happens when a team 3rd from bottom and late in the season, play deep and clearly are more interested in trying to claim the moral victory than giving themselves a fighting chance. If we adopted the approach of the recent teams we've played, we would have been relegated last season. That being said.......GET IN!!!!!!!!!!
m4DD0gg Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 What a match. All the fans stayed behind for at least 20 minutes singing we gona win the league over and over. Incredible

Finn Claw II Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 We were not that bad, sloppy passing in the first half, much better in the second. We deserved the three pooints
Danizen Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 What a match. All the fans stayed behind for at least 20 minutes singing we gona win the league over and over. IncredibleI hope the coach drivers are getting overtime for this! Poor bastards!
Guest Bilo Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Man U were stuck on the coach for 2 hours, not good prep for them. A bit of a leveller really, a big delay is disruptive on its own - let alone Tottenham having more time to stew on the growing gap.

Bluetintedspecs Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 We're almost there lads n lasses Today was made even sweeter for me, in that the Premier League Champions Elect completed a nice weekend acca for me Chaaaaaaaaaaarge.

Just like this time last, we showed belief and strength. We'll have to agree to disagree. Mahrez was no where to be seen, we couldn't pass to one another, Shinji tried but also done nothing. If that had of been any of the good sides like Arsenal or Spurs the game would have been over by half time. Thankfully we were much better second half and I thought we were crying out for the inclusion of King for all he offers. Better passing, help out in defence and always liable to score. I would have taken Mahrez off for Gray and Shinji for King. thankfully Vardy came good as I predicted he'd get two today.
