MattCan Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 "I had a hunch". And no, you got the wrong guy. The people we're mostly against are the people who only show up when Mahrez has played badly and who imply we've got something against Mahrez when in fact we criticize his performances when we he's played badly. Get my drift? And please: The door is still open. Mind. Why would the good people go and the haters stay? Would not be fair to the rest of this forum ... PS: Waiting for your nastiness ...
bluesbrothers Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Mark bosnich 70% of the world covered by water the rest by Kante Bollocks is it, Kante's the sort of guy who sees the ball go into the brook and considers it still in-play.
Danizen Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Why would the good people go and the haters stay? Would not be fair to the rest of this forum ... PS: Waiting for your nastiness ... I think Mahrez is one of our best ever players but he had an absolute stinker today does that make me a good person or a hater? Are we not allowed to criticise him at all? Go put your Real Madrid shirt back on, pal. We don't need you.
Chester Dontlie Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Open season on Mahrez today ? P.S.: To the many Haters, don't worry: he is not staying. Great mate because we Hate him so much, in fact sometimes I wonder if he's not some evil djinn feeding on FT Hatred having shit games like that, and then next game when our Hatred hits the limit, BOOOOOOM!, he's MOTM again
midland_red Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Agreed, I said 75 points would do it, But we need to stay focused. We could still blow it just as easy as win it. Nothing decided yet but we are getting closer and more importantly not giving anyone hope that we'll slip up. This. Absolutely. We're getting closer, but Spurs are well up for this and we haven't won it yet. We need to stay concentrated on the next match at all times as CR said. Remember that in 1963 we were top with a four point lead with four games to go and only finished fourth.
Tuna Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Think today was a defining day for us, games are running out. They may get close, but we'll do it.
Izzy Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Maybe the reason Mahrez looked so gloomy when he came off is that he was disappointed and frustrated with his own performance. He knows he didn't reach the high standards he's set himself and possibly thought he'd let his team mates down and felt shit about it. He had little room to manoeuvre today and Sunderland had done their homework on him. Don't think he deserves some of the 'doesn't care' or 'can't be arsed' criticism lately. He an integral part of this team, a match winner, and has contributed massively to our success this year. We can't expect 10/10 performances from him every week. He'll be back on it vs West Ham and we'll all love him again.
lgfualol Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Tough game. Probably should have done better going forward but the defence were solid. I can't actually remember Albrighton much apart from some excellent passes up field. Mahrez looked off, but not his type of game tbh, he had about 4 big blokes on him at all times. Wish Amartey had scored, thought he looked better but still needs to settle in the league but the goal would have been great for him. The pre-season with the squad will be great for him. Gray excellent again off the bench. Vardy yes
RowlattsFox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Mahrez is that kind of player, whatever his performance you would back him to score given a good opportunity or create something out of nothing. He was clearly frustrated with his performance today. Maybe showing a bit of fatigue.
Cornish Lair Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Nice move by spurs fans to set up a traffic jam making Man U late for the game, even though they were allowed an extra 30 minutes to prepare, when spurs players had 2 hours. No quite so clear cut to win the premiership now, as it was a few hours ago. I don't want to see spurs slip in through the back door, when we were going in through the front.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 I think there is something to be said for playing okazaki. He runs around like a headless chicken and is crap at heading the ball but I think his role is to tire the opponents out. Job done and we bring on someone for the kill 90% pass completion (19/21) and should have had a peno, he did ok. The 'Shitji' meme is so last year. I also thought Albrighton was immense too, and he regularly gets loads of criticism, but he worked so hard. Banzai!
Chester Dontlie Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Everyone goes through a rough patch sometimes... unless your name is N'Golo. Then you just skip over.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Bloody hell you Mahrez fans are touche! Turtles, so they are!
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 good that we were rubbish and won and spurs were good and won but we both only got three points. that'll piss them right off. also all aboard the vardy top scorer bus. great day today.
Webbo Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 That Tottenham result has pissed me off a bit, really hoping for a 10 point cushion.
MattCan Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 I think Mahrez is one of our best ever players but he had an absolute stinker today does that make me a good person or a hater? Are we not allowed to criticise him at all? Go put your Real Madrid shirt back on, pal. We don't need you. No one needs no one on a public forum. But, you seem to need those who think like you. Since you seem to show interest in my membership, let me honestly tell you why I came on this forum. In fact, it was not because of Mahrez. I was attracted by the underdog story of LCFC. I was indeed rooting for the team. I woke up very early mornings (in Western Canada) on Saturdays and Sundays to watch the games. I loved Vardy, Ranieri, Kante, Drinkwater and practically the whole team. I watched the NBC story.I even watched Rachel on Countdown for God's sake. The thing is that as I was getting familiar with the posts and posters, I sensed a double standard being applied to Mahrez and his Algerian fans. Mahrez has a unique way to play the game. He looks clumsy most of the time but it is that unpredictable madness in him that makes him interesting. So, many posters are quick to put him down, much quicker than toward other players. Indeed, some posters are constantly puttiing him down thinking it is the popular thing to do. People (LCFC fans) suggested that he should not get the PFA Player of the year (LCFC fans saying that ??!!). Some others saying they don't mind seeing him leave if other players stay (LCFC fans saying that ??!!). My angry post today was a mere reaction. I wish Mahrez and any other player for that matter get treated fairly. That is all.

Vardinio'sCat Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 8 hours without conceding... Borini won't kick Fuchs again, will he.
MattCan Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Don't talk crap. Nobody's got it in for Mahrez. All people have said is he had a bad game which is true. Oh yes they did. And you are the one using the "crap".
Sionnach gorm Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 I think we need to keep this all in proportion. No need to start fighting amongst each other. I apologize for my behaviour and comment. Let's drop this.
ScouseFox Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 mahrez is sensational, i love him, he's the best player in england by a distance and the best player i've ever seen play for us. today was like josh low had dressed up as mahrez an come along for a laugh. but we won, he didn't get injured, he'll be amazing next week and we're going to win the league. who gives a shit.
Vardinio'sCat Posted 10 April 2016 Posted 10 April 2016 Don't talk crap. Nobody's got it in for Mahrez. All people have said is he had a bad game which is true. I think questioning his desire is quite harsh though, given the evidence of this season, and about as harsh as Matt calling those posters 'haters'.
