ktfox59 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Why is this guy KT still on here ? He is trying to tout a ticket on here ? The mods have lost the plot ! and has shown to the mods by pointing out you reply of snap! To a poster who said he would snap the arm off if offered 15k for his ticket. I'm clearly not on here touting anything. Just tbh having a little banter at you for your self pontificating about an issue that if realistically offered the amount you said snap to, I'm sure you may have real thoughts of taking up. Let it go mate. What was it you said? A big Irishman? Well need I say more?
ktfox59 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I have more of an issue with people purchasing tickets with the sole purpose of selling them on and making a profit. Clearly, lots of people purchased tickets with only that in mind. If someone posted on here and said I'll give £1000 to anyone willing to sell a ticket, I wouldn't be so bothered. You've not set out to exploit people, but if the offer is to good to refuse (depends on peoples circumstances) then I don't particularly begrudge them selling it on.you know what bans, you and I have had se previous here, but I thank you for your balanced post on the subject. Nice one
Bayfox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I really don't understand the hatred shown towards someone selling their tickets and making a profit. Four of us went to Cardiff to watch the European Cup Rugby final when Tigers beat Munster. Went down Friday for two nights. I think we paid £35 for the tickets. Anyway we are in Walkabout on the Friday and get chatting to some Irish lads desperate for tickets and finish up selling our tickets for £200 each. Watched the game in a great pub in Cardiff the next day and all but had a free weekend in a great City drinking all day. We were happy, the Irish lads got what they wanted and life carried on. Hopefully I will be the one of the Irish lads this time around and get a ticket for four or five times its face value and get to the see the game. Even if you take the moral side out of this, re-sale of football tickets for over face value is illegal, it comes under touting laws. Rugby, in your case, horse racing, concerts etc, are not actually listed in the laws, so yes maybe the law is an ass, but in this case, you can be charged, what you did, well that wouldn't be covered by law. All though technically even people trading in other sports events tickets, should by law have a street vendors licence, but I doubt they do. The whole systems flawed.
GaelicFox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 im all heart mate.didnt dare put the £7k I wanted for fear of being shouted down.. The guy above is just pissed off as I dragged his little sting plot along. Thick as... LOL Your a scummy Tout !!! Get your Liverpool jersey back on !

Christoph Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Absolutely everybody has a price Agreed. If I'm honest, it would be hard for me to turn down 3-4 grand cash in hand if someone came to me and offered it. I suppose most people are pissed off by the fact people are buying tickets and selling them rather than buying them to go. As a season ticket holder...if anyone wants my card for the last day for £4000 feel free to pm me

Christoph Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Tout OR perhaps somebody who would benefit more greatly from 4 grand than going to a football game? I've got my season ticket and hardly going out the way to sell it but I'm not going to sit here and pretend i'd turn down 3-4 grand if somebody offered. Like a lot of people, that money would help me out a lot.
ousefox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I don't understand why people are going on about tickets selling for thousands. I've seen no evidence of that whatsoever. Just because it's listed on a website with that price doesn't mean people are actually paying it. I doubt anybody would struggle if they had a couple of hundred quid in their pockets so people need to stop banging on about these being 'life-changing amounts'. It's likely just touts and fair-weather STH's wanting to make a quick buck

I've got my season ticket and hardly going out the way to sell it but I'm not going to sit here and pretend i'd turn down 3-4 grand if somebody offered. Jack1993 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 But it's not legal. £4,000 could mean as much to him as £1,000,000 does to you... as previously stated, absolutely everybody has a price. P.s Just to avoid any confusion, I'm not advocating it nor am I saying that it's right or fair, I'm just saying that absolutely everybody on here has a price that they would sell their ticket for regardless of legality, for some that is much lower than others, It's completely hypothetical but would you turn down a million?

Dropofclaridge wouldn't for £10m mate

Its not ticket touting. If youre walking down to the ground and someone stuck a bag of cash in your face with 5 grand in it for your ticket you'll either say yes or no, but you're not going to knock him down to 250 quid.
GaelicFox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Dropofclaridge wouldn't for £10m mate Too late I gave it away free !
yorkie1999 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Doesnt it basically block the sale if someone sits there pressing buy every half an hour but not pay
Babylon Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 But it's not legal. There are many many things that aren't legal. Running on the pitch if we win the league could get you a date in court if the club or the police wanted to. I'm not trying to suggest it's the same thing, but those preaching legality probably break the law every day of the week themselves.
Ollie93 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 But it's not legal. Neither are a lot of things, tell me you've never broken the law in your life. If some mug wants to pay £1000's for a ticket so be it. But like has been mentioned before, a few thousand quid might be a substantial amount of money to someone.

Yes this is exactly what i'm saying. I'm not going out the way to sell it or anything. But I wont sit here and pretend I wouldnt take an offer like that. I agree though...has there been any evidence of any tickets actually being sold for a stupidly high price? These bids on ebay that go really high always end up being done by fake accounts.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Neither are a lot of things, tell me you've never broken the law in your life. If some disabled/mug wants to pay £1000's for a ticket so be it. But like has been mentioned before, a few thousand quid might be a substantial amount of money to someone. What's being disabled got to do with how much money people have to spend on football tickets?
Brown Fox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 But it's not legal. I think they said on sky that it's also illegal to sell a football ticket even at face value because of hugely outdated laws made in the late 80's early or 90's regarding hooligans. I do get your point though just playing devils advocate!
Grey Fox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 But it's not legal. Neither is watching a free stream of our live matches, but it doesn't stop a lot of fans from doing it.
Ollie93 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 What's being disabled got to do with how much money people have to spend on football tickets? For some reason it change mon*g to disabled.
ImBlue Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 For some reason it change mon*g to disabled. Weird auto-correct..
