Voll Blau Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 He is asking people to bid for the ticket It's discussing I have asked @@Mark and @@DB11 to ban this account right now ! I made a dummy offer to try and get him to cough but I'm livid now with this **** I hope the mods pass the email address for this account to the club so he can get banned from the club as well Offering to sell and inviting offers to buy a football ticket are a clear breach of the rules/law Disgusting Looks like we're probably too late, he's already had a PM. Shame that the mods (no offence meant to them, imagine most have better things to do and they do a good job when touting's brought to their attention) are going to have little power in the coming weeks to stop this if they can't delete almost immediately.
ScouseFox Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 What's your idea of do-able? Just out of interest? 3 years ago if you lived 4 hours away. You could pick and choose your games based around time, cost, other commitments. Then 2 years ago season tickets became a closed shop. Now is someone living in Scotland or on the south coast expected to come camp over night just to have got one of the 7k that went on general sale at that point. Yes maybe some did. But you can't honestly tell me you saw this success coming and expect people to have travelled that far to get a season ticket on a what if. I managed to get several spares even for the Doncaster game. For Everton my only hope is my toffee supporting sister and putting people in the away end. I guess despite my protests expansion now does seem the only way. But to expect a normal working bloke who lives miles away to have forked out about 3 months wages a season in tickets, travel etc. Maybe do-able to you. But to some it's not. And that comes from someone who has had the luxury of travelling away since the 90s but I have dropped a lot of other interests for that reason. isn't that sort of the point here, though? people who bought season tickets then didn't buy them because they thought we'd be successful, they bought them because they support Leicester. they bought their tickets to go to shit games, to go to losses, to probably (at the time) end up going to championship games. so they deserve to go to title deciding games more than those who "didn't buy a ticket because they didn't see this success coming".
biggs Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 That photo on the BBC site is f^cked. Of all the celebrations we've had and they chose to show a kid and his mum in tears.
Guest Bilo Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 I remember the days when you could buy tickets at the sub ticket office on match days. Heady days.

Way to twist words. If you really want to try that argument. Then no those 7k who queued to get tickets at that point. Probably brought them on the back of promotion and the chance to see man Utd, Liverpool etc. Not just to see us. So that argument is defunct when we are talking about exciled fans. And they are probably the same ***** who now are trying to sell their tickets for a profit now.
AjcW Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 I remember the days when you could buy tickets at the sub ticket office on match days. Heady days. I call those the "get home, have dinner, decide whether I fancy a midweek game, turn up, buy a ticket" days lol
ScouseFox Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 i didn't twist your words? you basically said you can't expect people to travel to get season tickets because we might not have been successful? yet we're meant to feel sorry for those people because they can't get a ticket now? nah. cba with a roundabout argument, people got season tickets, people didn't. everyone has reasons why they didn't or didn't. if they didn't then these are the consequences, nobody's got a divine right to get tickets, no matter how much some people think they do.

There you go again. No what I said was. 3 years ago you could get tickets at the drop of a hat. Read my posts. We couldn't sell Bolton away ffs to seal the title. Last year it was easy to get spares. Do you expect people who live hours away to commit to season tickets? Plus season tickets became a closed shop at the end of the day so memberships are the only option for some. Yet I imagine some of the tickets going for 100 quid plus are a consequence as you put it of money/privilege not loyalty. But if you want to believe that all fans who are loyal can justify a season ticket and should have had one since birth. Feel free.
Strokes Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 I had a season ticket for 18 years, I stopped after 2010 because of family reasons. I tried to get a season ticket this year but couldn't because of demand. Its tough shit, yeah I'm a bit disappointed but I'll watch on live on TV like I have all year and thoroughly enjoy it. If people are prepared to buy tickets for 15000 then they probably want to go more than I do.

treer Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 i don't understand all this " they are bad people for selling their tickets", or I" wouldn't sell my ticket for a thousand pound" Everyone's circumstances are different. £2000 is less than a weeks wages for some, for others its a sum they have never had in their life, or will have. So a person has a ticket for the Everton game, he has a choice, he can sell the ticket and take his wife and 2 kids on the holiday of a lifetime with the proceeds, or watch one football match on his own. How does choosing to sell the ticket and take his family the holiday make him a bad person?. I'd call him a selfish pig if he didn't sell the ticket!!!!!!!!

I can say it was me. After two lengthy emails to admin explaining how and why I was being honey trapped after two replies that clearly showed and said, that I wasn't wanting to break forum rules and pointing out dropofclaridges hypocritcal stance as he openly admitted here he would take 15k for his ticket-just read back. Also showed I had read his previous posts to know he was indeed a st holder tan along with my own agenda but without the recourse to suspend unlike himself. Hence I'm back. Not wanting to cause trouble and the original post with hindsight was an error of judgement. Again in our conversation I did ask him to give me a valuation he thought was a fair price for my ticket. His comeback was 150. I said 250 and got suspended. On a side note all the people that try and say that if offered 15k for their ticket and refuse for the sake of honesty and the occasion are simply either in denial or telling porkies. Just thought I would clear all that up with you all as now considering i have a right to reply I thought I would come out and use it

I'm sure the guy was doing much the same as the previous guy. Wasn't he???? Or is it also an offence to buy one?

You've got some balls coming on here to spout that level and amound of intelligence and genuine insight into the average guy on the street. Without implying correctly that you would or wouldn't stoop to such levels. Spot on.

Speak for yourself. I hope your bank balance enjoys the sense of occasion and can tell the grandkids banks about it one day.
GaelicFox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Speak for yourself. I hope your bank balance enjoys the sense of occasion and can tell the grandkids banks about it one day. Why is this guy KT still on here ? He is trying to tout a ticket on here ? The mods have lost the plot !

And I hope he can tell the grandkids he once had a nice holiday but missed his club win the 1st league title and now is barred from having a season ticket again as he was charged with touting. But I do get your point. I myself admitted that at 20k that alters my life and pays for Europe next year. However the consequences of losing my 3 season tickets isn't worth it.
m4DD0gg Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Its a real tough one, its a big IF as to whether some one could achieve 15K from a season ticket but in the event of having 2 season tickets that is theoretically 30K. I dont care who you are that is a life changing some of money with endless possibilities: 1) Once in a life time holiday. 2) Substantial mortgage deposit/clear a mortgage. 3) Put a child through university.
MonmoreStef Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I really don't understand the hatred shown towards someone selling their tickets and making a profit. Four of us went to Cardiff to watch the European Cup Rugby final when Tigers beat Munster. Went down Friday for two nights. I think we paid £35 for the tickets. Anyway we are in Walkabout on the Friday and get chatting to some Irish lads desperate for tickets and finish up selling our tickets for £200 each. Watched the game in a great pub in Cardiff the next day and all but had a free weekend in a great City drinking all day. We were happy, the Irish lads got what they wanted and life carried on. Hopefully I will be the one of the Irish lads this time around and get a ticket for four or five times its face value and get to the see the game.

It's illegal for a reason And it's morally fecked up Sell your ticket by all means stick the price of a steak dinner on top But don't rip people off ! KT above wants £250 , crack on
whitlock Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Personally, I'm only 25 so money will come and go, but these memories will never, so I wouldn't sell for anything. Can definitely understand people in other circumstances selling. Is what it is. Get used to it now.

ktfox59 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 £250 for a ticket that's being reported as going for £7500 a peice? im all heart mate.didnt dare put the £7k I wanted for fear of being shouted down.. The guy above is just pissed off as I dragged his little sting plot along. Thick as...

KT above wants £250 , crack on I have more of an issue with people purchasing tickets with the sole purpose of selling them on and making a profit. Clearly, lots of people purchased tickets with only that in mind. If someone posted on here and said I'll give £1000 to anyone willing to sell a ticket, I wouldn't be so bothered. You've not set out to exploit people, but if the offer is to good to refuse (depends on peoples circumstances) then I don't particularly begrudge them selling it on.
The Guvnor Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Travelling from Birmingham isn't prohibitive - Well Duh! Try living in Swansea - having work and family commitments. Not only is it far, the rail network is shit! You are looking at 3-4 hr journey at least! I haven't been a ST since i moved to Swansea 10 years ago, but still get to a game a season, even ift its just the swansea away ala this season. I'm not a member and don't expect any sort of tickets and can deal with that. I don't really need to contribute to this thread but the idea that someone can say, i lived in Birmingham and got to every game so you have no excuse is an absolute joke and an embarrassment!! When the poster said Birmingham I thought he was taking the p#ss.
