Guest Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Not sure I like the idea of sitting with Everton fans in the away end. What if [when] we score, do you celebrate being surrounded by Evertonians ? They'll probably be celebrating too so I wouldn't worry

toff Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Not sure I like the idea of sitting with Everton fans in the away end. What if [when] we score, do you celebrate being surrounded by Evertonians ? you will probably find most evertonians will sell their tickets to foxes, any in the ground won't be arsed anyway, makes no odds to them who wins, they will genuinely be made up for Leicester sticking one up the so called big clubs
fuchsntf Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Travelling from Birmingham isn't prohibitive - Well Duh! Try living in Swansea - having work and family commitments. Not only is it far, the rail network is shit! You are looking at 3-4 hr journey at least! I haven't been a ST since i moved to Swansea 10 years ago, but still get to a game a season, even ift its just the swansea away ala this season. I'm not a member and don't expect any sort of tickets and can deal with that. I don't really need to contribute to this thread but the idea that someone can say, i lived in Birmingham and got to every game so you have no excuse is an absolute joke and an embarrassment!! I would have to come from Woellstein, via Frankfurt-hahn via Stansted.Which I used to 5-+ times a season. But I would not hog any tickets now..Thanks to Sky..!! But god almighty, in the true name of our hero King Richard III, I would of loved to be there, I would of gone out my way, my son offered me a weekend out, wayback in Febuary , but tickets were simply not there. No anger with the club, not disappointed we only have 32k+ seats. We have seen an incredible moment in time. I am just happy that its 'MY or OUR' club LCFC. The Foxes. Scouse-land will be even poorer, because the away tickets I cant see a true fan paying thousands of pounds, there will be empty seats, how many ?? Who knows who cares, theyve been payed for.....
smr Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 you will probably find most evertonians will sell their tickets to foxes, any in the ground won't be arsed anyway, makes no odds to them who wins, they will genuinely be made up for Leicester sticking one up the so called big clubs Brilliant. Shame this season hasn't panned out as you'd have liked, always liked Everton, hard working good old English club, not arrogant like the big four etc. and my Uncle's an Evertonian and fan. I hadn't realised Everton away tickets had gone on sale yet - if you know of anyone else selling pm me please mate.
kingcarr21 Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Everton fans may sell there ticket at the ground. I can see a lot of Leicester fans with money in their pocket begging Evertonians to sell their ticket to them.
smr Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Everton fans may sell there ticket at the ground. I can see a lot of Leicester fans with money in their pocket begging Evertonians to sell their ticket to them. Doubt they'd make the trip down to sell at face value though.

May I suggest rather than extortion, you could see who would be willing to do the most daring forfeit, or ridiculous, it doesn't have to be brave. Any suggestions welcome...
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Go on enlighten me, how does it stop you? Haha mate, I don't need to justify myself to you on here and neither does anyone else. If someone says that the distance they live away from Leicester is stopping them from attending games, then that's their decision, it has nothing to do with you. I'd tell you to get down off your high horse but it looks like a few others have done it for me.
kingcarr21 Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Doubt they'd make the trip down to sell at face value though. Everton fans aren't going to sell at face value are they
smr Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Everton fans aren't going to sell at face value are they Might get one or two decent fans who will.
Vulpine Victor Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 I agree totally with YORKIE 1999 "Well it doesnt equal not many. Its actually 6000, and if theres 2000 gold members who all get first dibs, theyre all guarenteed a ticket, and that leaves 4000 for silver." I'm a long term season ticket holder so I have no problems with tickets. My brother who lives in Southampton was a season ticket holder for the last 8 years( City supporter for 53 years) traveling from Southampton for the matches. Due to family commitments he could no longer get to every game so he became a GOLDEN MEMBER to enable him to buy tickets as he has done several times this season until now. He tried ringing up for tickets as soon as they were available for him. No one would answer the phone and the system told them he was being disconnected to save him money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When he eventually got through (about 11.30am) he was told all the tickets had been sold!!!!!! So look at the maths they were only available to Season Ticket holders, Family members and reputedly Gold members!!!!!!!!!!! So who were the other tickets sold to?????? The lesson is obviously paying money to be a gold or silver member is a waste of time, as you will not get tickets for high demand games, like our European Tour!
kingcarr21 Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Might get one or two decent fans who will. You said it yourself. They wont make the trip to sell it at face value. Got to make it worth their while. I would guess some Everton fans would be making the journey with the intention of selling their ticket to the highest bidder. It will feel like Bargain Hunt outside the stadium. Going to be surreal.

Oh given the chance i'd be there in a shot! I'd have been to more games this season if tickets were available. I would never have had a season ticket though and would not expect a ticket just because i've been a fan for 30 years. In the context of my post felt it was important to explain that, before telling whoever it was they were being an idiot re: Birmingham!
ScouseFox Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 tbf it's not that tricky to travel distances to games. some people obviously can't or never previously wanted to "make the effort" to travel 3 or 4 hours most weeks to watch us lose to barnsley or watch us draw with yeovil, but are now upset they aren't being given the chance to travel just as far for our bigger games. that's tough luck really. i know from experience that it is a ball ache to get up at 9 on a saturday and get on the first of three trains that you've paid about 50 quid for once a fortnight. or to book things off work weeks in advance and then games get moved. i get and fully empathise with people who live too far away to justify a season ticket, but if you haven't got one then i can't see why you'd be crying about not getting a ticket for this. you don't have a season ticket because you can't go very often, and you want one of your few visits to be the one where we get presented with the premier league trophy for the first time ever? join the queue.

There isn't a big conspiracy going on here. Clearly Corporate, sponsors, Share holders, staff allocations and however many more tickets are given out were all taken therefore leaving a shorter amount (than normal) tickets available for the public. Yes its unfortunate. Yes its shit. I agree that it perhaps should have at least covered Gold members but unfortunately it hasn't.
Foxy_jim Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Well it doesnt equal not many. Its actually 6000, and if theres 2000 gold members who all get first dibs, theyre all guarenteed a ticket, and that leaves 4000 for silver. There's way more than 2000 gold members mate, way more.

I think most were a just bit annoyed at that Ollie lad's insinuation that it was a peace of piss to live miles away and have a season ticket, rather than actually griping about this specific predicament.
Manwell Pablo Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Bit of a silly comment mate. I live miles away so generally isn't worth it to buy a season ticket, and for years I've ended up going to 12+ games a season (mostly away) with no trouble getting tickets. My dad went to Europe with city and yes, I was there in the championship and league one my good fellow. Hereford away how could I forget. So just because someone can't/won't get a ST doesn't mean they're any less of a fan. Does that mean that the fans that have signed up this season due to our success that have a ST are any 'more of a fan' than I am? I wouldn't have thought so, but to be fair how do you measure a fan It is a ridiculous post, I've been going home and away for years and had ST's. I stopped for 3/4 years as I had an opportunity to play Saturdays and thought I'd take it before I was too old, I've now got two children under two years old who I can't take (yet) and can't leave them at home all day on Saturday given that I often don't see them much on Sunday. I still get to games but needless to say it's been rather difficult this year as when I can go I then have to battle for a ticket, now if your telling me that makes me less of a fan than someone I know who supported Man u up until the end of last season and only bought his ST as he wanted to see a season of Premier League football (needless to he's tune has very much changed now but that is why they are called glory supporters) then sorry, you can fck right off. I do agree about moaning about not getting a ticket though is it is what it is and really isn't anybody's fault, the teams a success, lots of people want to go, ST guarantees that, if you don't have one you have to accept you may miss out.
ScouseFox Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 I think most were a just bit annoyed at that Ollie lad's insinuation that it was a peace of piss to live miles away and have a season ticket, rather than actually griping about this specific predicament. i didn't read the whole thread tbf but yeah. it's not "easy" but it can be done. i've never been able to justify the amount of money i've spent on tickets or travel, nor the amount of hangovers i've battled through and the amount of holidays i've booked off work. but you just do it cos it's the footy isn't it. do it for league one games, do it for champions league games, makes no difference really. just think, as per, it's great that people can't justify a season ticket because they can't get to the match but then as soon as we turn good there's people in the ticket threads saying "i'll take any ticket to any match please". so you could go to any match? you just didn't want to because we were shit? or...?
Thracian Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Fifteen grand a ticket! Makes Cameron seem harmless!. Bound to be Tories of course. But it'd be interesting to know how many on here would sell their ticket for £15,000 were it actually offered to them.
Bayfox Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 There's way more than 2000 gold members mate, way more. No there isn't the club sold 2000 Gold memberships. But in case you missed it, here's the official line from the club as of yesterday afternoon. Someone I know has managed to track down someone at the club. He's the official albeit 3 hand explanation. 23000 season tickets. Everton have taken a full 3300 allocation. Hospitality for this game is 3000 Inc approx 300 for players. Being allocated 15 each. Leaving roughly 2700 for sale to members. Apparently we have 2000 gold and 1000 Fox family or whatever they are called. Hence today's carnage. They are claiming however most gold and family members got tickets. Unless tickets are returned by companies/sponsors nothing is going to change.
Nalis Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Tell me about it Scouse. When I moved to England my first game was away to Palace three years ago and got 2 tickets together in our end on general sale. How times change. To top it off, we both made the play offs that year so we werent even that shit.
