Lcfcwigstonblue Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Kante, Mahrez and Vardy all nominated fantastic and fully deserved.

Babylon Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Does anyone know when the winner of this award is announced? Now, Kante.
Fox92 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Young Player Nominations: Alli Kane Butland Coutinho Barkley Lukaku
The Railway Man Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 A Mahrez - Vardy 1-2 according to the bookies. Mahrez 2/5 Vardy 9/4 Kane 10/1 Payet 16/1 Ozil 25/1 Kante 50/1
Alf Bentley Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Nominations: Payet Vardy Mahrez Kante Kante Ozil Duly amended. There are only 2 N'Golo Kantes...
lgfualol Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Have a feeling it will be either Kane or Payet. Should be Kanté or Mahrez though.
Staffs Fox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Well done lads Is it wrong of me to also think Drinky and Morgan should have been given a nomination??
Fox92 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 A Mahrez - Vardy 1-2 according to the bookies. Mahrez 2/5 Vardy 9/4 Kane 10/1 Payet 16/1 Ozil 25/1 Kante 50/1 Payet and Kane are worth backing at those odds.
The Railway Man Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Have a feeling it will be either Kane or Payet. Should be Kanté or Mahrez though. Has to be Mahrez, involved in nearly 30 goals on his own in one season? That's more than a lot of teams score by themselves. Worth remembering these were voted for around end of Feb though....
AKCJ Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Payet and Kane are worth backing at those odds. Kante at 50/1 is worth a fiver when you think about it. It's voted by the players, how many are gonna say yeah that was bloody hard playing against him? 50/1 is taking the piss to be fair.
Staffs Fox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 24th April it's announced and it will be Mahrez, If it was the Football Writers then maybe the London based teams would get bias but this is voted by their fellow Pro's, there's only one winner this year

It's voted by the players, how many are gonna say yeah that was bloody hard playing against him? 50/1 is taking the piss to be fair. Attackers/Goalscorers always win these awards. Only once in the last twenty years has it gone to a player who wasn't an goalscoring midfielder or up front and that was John Terry in 2005. Shows how well Kante has done though to be nominated.
Fox92 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Goals + Assists Vardy 21 + 6 Mahrez 16 + 11 Ozil 6 + 18 Lukaku 18 + 6 Kane 22 + 1 Payet 9 + 8

I do think Mahrez will win it but, yeah, I might have something on Kane at 50/1.
4everfox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Attacking players are often favoured in these awards so I can see Mahrez winning this when really it should be Kante. Mahrez is brilliant one week then a bit of a passenger for the next two or three games before being brilliant again. Kante on the other hand is brilliant every week, he just doesn't score or assist enough to realistically win this award which is so often based on goals and assists.
Babylon Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Goals + Assists Vardy 21 + 6 Mahrez 16 + 11 Ozil 6 + 18 Lukaku 18 + 6 Kane 22 + 1 Payet 9 + 8 Can we add in penalties won as well.
glenny_fox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I hope, and think, Mahrez will win it. I had £100 on him when he was 4/1. If it was voted for at the end of the season I reckon Kante would win it easily.
Guest MattP Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Mahrez to win it. Vardy and Kane in second and third. I do fancy Vardy to win the football writers if he can nick top scorer off Kane by the end of the season.
Fox 4 Life Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Goals + Assists Vardy 21 + 6 Mahrez 16 + 11 Ozil 6 + 18 Lukaku 18 + 6 Kane 22 + 1 Payet 9 + 8 Kane is a selfish bastard isn't he!
Fox 4 Life Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 For me Vardy should win it, as great as Mahrez has been he disappears, something that Vardy rarely does.
