AlgerianFox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Mahrez has scored 7 decisives goals so far(21 pts) more then any other player in the league...match winning goals...and he is a left wing traditional type football player...not a striker.p He is also on double figures for both goals and assists (better then any other player in the league). One of the most exciting player in the game today.
Koke Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Vardy for me. I like Mahrez and obviously he's 16 goals and 11 assists is remarkable. To put into context, Hazard had 14 goals and 7 assists last season and he ran away with POTY. But performance wise Vardy is much more consistent. Even when not scoring Vardy will at least give you a 7/10 performance whereas Mahrez will go missing if he's not having a good day. 21 goals and 8 assists for Vardy is not to be sniffed at either.
Matt Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I had a panic when I heard the news on the radio, they said "And three Leicester players have been named..." I thought, Oh shit! What have they done now, then the radio went on to say "been nominated for PFA player of the season." Just the usual 'What now?!' attitude bred into a Leicester fan! Fully deserved and very happy for them! Think i'd have to pick Kante out the 3 (6). It would be Mahrez if he was more consistant, when good he's amazing but can be abit poor, abit too often, that's not slagging him off because he has been one of the best players this season, he has been amazing and very important to where we are but it's the way it is, and for me the reason he wouldn't (ATM) get a sniff at a 'top' club (He's at one, but you know what I mean).
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Vardy re overall effort and goals etc Kante for work ethic and unbelievable stamina - overall winner for me Mahrez for the thrilling skills and attacking prowess goals and assists etc Mahrez will be the winner im sure and fully deserving etc But as others have said both Kante and Vardy would equally deserve it
4everfox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Team of the year anyone? with a bit of rationale.... De Gea (obviously prefer Lloris, also Schmeichel and Butland worth a shout, but De Gea has kept United from being mid table?) Clyne (Cresswell, maybe I couldn't pick a gooner, but Bellerin has been good) Alderweireld (has to be in there somewhere) Morgan (Smalling/Huth alternatives..Vertonghen) Fuchs (shout out for Bertrand and maybe Rose? Baines isn't doing it any more) Kante (brilliant all season, along with Dier who's also done it with England) Dembele (best season at Spurs and has had similar opposition in his pocket, Drinkwater possibly, Henderson too inconsistent, Milner, Schneiderlin, no thanks) Tricky one.....but for me Mahrez (no contest) Eriksen (probably Ozil...but he's a gooner) Payet (no contest) Mention for Coutinho, Kane (because he scores the same amount as Vardy but contributes more all over the pitch? Vardy for being ruthless and setting the new record. Aguero not at the races this year, worthy mention to Lukaku) Not a City or Chelsea player in sight........even with all that money ha ha! I'll play. GK - Butland DR - Simpson / Walker / Clyne DC - Alderweireld DC - Morgan / Smalling DL - Cresswell / Fuchs MR - Mahrez MC - Kante MC - Ozil / Alli / Drinkwater ML - Payet / De Bruyne / Eriksen ST - Vardy ST - Kane
sylofox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I don't care who wins as long as he don't play for a fvcking London club.
dorsetboy Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 it could all backfire and kante, mahrez and vardy end up splitting the votes between them and kane snatches it
Fennec-Fox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I'll play. GK - Butland DR - Simpson / Walker / Clyne DC - Alderweireld DC - Morgan / Smalling DL - Cresswell / Fuchs MR - Mahrez MC - Kante MC - Ozil / Alli / Drinkwater ML - Payet / De Bruyne / Eriksen ST - Vardy ST - Kane They should initiate a new competition: Teams of the year in the 5 biggest Leagues in Europe should play A small championship before the start of the season (pre-season preparation bonus) would be interesting to see which league is the best! :-) . At least they will give sense finally to those teams of the year
Danno Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 I'll play. Vardinio'sCat Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 They ought to name it 'Leicester City Player of the year' and be done with it.
Dan Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 If it's voted for around February (which is absolutely ridiculous may I add) then Mahrez is the only one in with a shout.

Koke Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Who'd win Leicester City player of the year? So many options and each have their merits. To compare it to another club, David de Gea will win player of the year at Manchester United for the 3rd consecutive year. It's a one man show over there.
Guest ttfn Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Kante has been our best player but won't win it - Mahrez' highlights reel is absolutely outrageous. I actually wouldn't be surprised if Vardy won the PFA award and Mahrez the Football Writers' one.
smudger63 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Danny Mills on radio 5 thinks Harry Kane should win it. There`s a shock, another one of those ex player, so called experts, that hates everything Leicester City. Apparently Harry Kane has got more to his game than just using his pace. A sly dig at Vardy, no doubt!
4everfox Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Cech Walker/Bellerin Alderwereld Morgan Monreal Kante Ozil Mahrez Vardy Lukaku Kane Does it have to be 442 or can it be any formation? Monreal is a good shout. I suppose it depends on personal preference.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Vardy won the PFA award and Mahrez the Football Writers' one. payet has got football writer's sewn up. they love london, they love west ham and they love payet. although tbf kane could be a shout for that. not sure which one these stupid sunday supplement types suck off more. it won't be any of our players though pretty sure about that.

A sly dig at Vardy, no doubt! Heard this and thought the exact same thing , it clearly was. He didn't even have Vardy in his 6 nominees i believe. You just know he's the sort of bloke who'd have binned off Vardy if he'd been around him at academy level. I was thinking too, if Kante carries on in the same vein for the rest of the year, do we reckon he'd make it into that World (Real and Barca) XI? He'd be an absolute certainty for me. I don't watch much European football but i've seen enough to believe Kante would be in that XI.
The Doctor Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Kane (because he scores the same amount as Vardy but contributes more all over the pitch? Eh? Vardy creates more, puts in the running that helps open it up for other players like Mahrez (pretty difficult to double up on him like you'd have to to stop him if it just gives Vardy the freedom of the penalty area). Vardy contributes far more all round than Kane does.
dylanlegend Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Mahrez will win this easily, hopefully he will stay for next years CL campaign. However, as a 'team' Kante and Vardy and more important.
merlin1969 Posted 13 April 2016 Posted 13 April 2016 Ozil has 56% Kane 7% Payet 12% Vardy 9% and Kante 9% as it stands, So all of Arsenal fans have voted so far. 10pm tonight the result. I missed Mahrez but it wasn't high. This is a SKY poll
