Sol thewall Bamba Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Mahrez needs to pull his head out his arse for this, just need one moment of magic from him.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Ranieri will make only one change - less likely e.g. Ulloa/Gray for Vardy or will make a few changes, as it will mean a whole new differant style of play - more likely This Swansea game is no given, they beat Chelsea (who admittedly are out on the beach) just two weeks ago. Unless it's a fast player we change for Vardy, I think Ranieri will have to make more than one change to the team to accomodate our new style. Swansea won't be sitting as deep if Vardy was playing and that will suit them as they can dominate possession more and prevent us getting closer to their goal by holding a higher line.
Foxbythesea Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Ulloa and Shingi up front and the rest the same. I reckon Ulloa will be full of confidence and will pop in a goal or two. 2-0 Leicester.
kingcarr21 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Personally think Mahrez will be wasted behind Ulloa. Start with Okazaki and Ulloa up top with Albrighton whipping in lethal crosses for Ulloa to get onto. Mahrez to come into the middle as the game goes on. Without Vardy this will be a tough game and Swansea are no pushovers regardless of their poor performances this season. We will desperately need Mahrez to turn up this game. Bring some magic back into his game. It may even be worth a thought of having Schluup up top with Ulloa.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Two problems with playing both shinji and ulloa 1: Teams will compress the play and make it difficult for us to get near their goal, holding higher line - as both lack the pace of vardy. 2: Can they both play 90 minutes at full tilt It could work, but teams will have less to fear - maybe that can play into our hands. It could be a downgraded version of the great Salas and Zamarano partnership for Chile. One big positive is that Swansea won't really know what to prepare for, they will just play their normal possession based game. HAving said that both Sunderland and West Ham prepared for our fast countering and balls over the top to Vardy - but look what happened despite that.
Buzzell Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Kasper Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Drinkwater Kante Albrighton Mahrez Gray Okazaki 2-0 win.
Ric Flair Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 There is a lot of pressure on this game as it really is a must win game, people could argue that it isn't but I believe the players, staff, fans and everyone associated with the club will have that mindset and that's what makes it a little less straight forward. We've done very well at crucial points this season and here is another one. We badly needed a win and a performance vs Stoke at home in late January before a run of tough games and we did it and I think the same will happen again. Ulloa is so important for this game, if he plays like he did yesterday then we've got one hell of a chance to get the win and put ourselves on the brink of the title. Forget what happens to Vardy's ban, it's Leonardo who can really help us now. He got that winner against Norwich that was so important and the point yesterday, he has played a bit part role this season but he's proving to be the man who can get us out of tricky situations. I firmly believe he will do it again. Okazaki will also get a chance playing off the shoulder of the defence which will be interesting to see as he's due a goal. One thing is for sure, us fans need to be louder than ever on Sunday. It is going to be a huge game, the pressure is starting to come and this is what it's all about. Let's not run away from it or feel sick, let's get plastered and sing our way to the title.
Max Power Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Ulloa was drafted in to the Swansea game last season at short notice and bagged a goal. More of the same please Leo.
weller54 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Ulloa will be right up for this.. 2-0..Leo brace! One of the better games Vardy could have missed. And Yanited I think!

filbertway Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 These are pretty terrible, lost 3-0 to an awful Newcastle side at the weekend and are done for the season. Absolutely no excuses for not picking up 3 points.
Mark_w Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 I'd like Mahrez behind Ulloa with Schlupp and Albrighton on the wings personally, just hope Stoke take something from Spurs so there's a little bit less pressure on this one.
atomicfox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 For me this is theoretically the easiest match in the run in,I should imagine we'll continue with 442 with shinji in vardys role and Leo as the other striker.2.0 to us.
tsintskaro Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 another clean sheet for leicester.again that "1-0" calm game, maybe they score 2.no pressure, everything okay.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 If ulloa plays would like to see Albrighton on the right. Although if ulloa doesn't start, would like to see either gray or schlupp in for Albrighton, just to give us more pace. It's a tough call, but we would need to change shape or style without vardy. Playing both shinji and ulloa and trying to play the same as we have just won't work as just having vardy on the pitch makes teams setup differently due to his pace and closing down etc. Tbh, I think it's going to be very difficult game without vardy and not sure what we can change. I noticed Claudio seem perplexed too when asked about it post match. One good thing is ranieri will have all week to try stuff out in training to help him make his decision.
dpjfox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 gray or schlupp i think should replace Vardy i think Ulloa is more of an impact player, imo Mahrez is due a good game, if he does that should be enough to see this lot off
SCFC83 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Ay up gents, firstly I'm a Stoke fan and I've just read some of the comment's on tonight's game against Spurs. To be honest I've got a good feeling about tonight's game I reckon a cagey 1-0 win to the Potters. Well done to your boys this season losing 2 games up until now is impressive and I can't deny many fans will be envious of what your club has achieved. At the same time it gives other clubs outside the top six hope.

SCFC83 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Please please please do something tonight I personally think we will pal! Our performances this season have being up and down but overall we play well against bigger clubs IMO.
smr Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 I think and hope Stoke will cause an upset tonight. Just a feelin. If they do it's going to massively deflate spurs.
Gerard Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Would be tempted to stick MA on the right, Schlupp left, and Mahrez behind Ulloa. Or does that remove any 'defensive' work that our strikers usually do? We still have enough to get past these, Newcastle beat them 3-0 FGS. Thinking that myself actually, great minds and all that. Albrighton on the right to get crosses in for Ulloa. Mahrez in a free role. Schlupp on the left with his pace and directness. It would be good to get Schlupp shoehorned in for some pace in the team and this looks like a good solution.
Gerard Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Is it just me that doesn't rate Okazaki? He doesn't have the power or pace and can't really create something out of nothing. Shhhh, you can't say you don't rate Okazaki on here as people will accuse you of "not knowing the game".
