Benji Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Problem is if you bring Schlupp in for some pace who else do you drop? He clearly wanted to keep a 4-4-2 and go attacking with two forwards so there wasn't really another change. Direct down the wings for the first 60 and if it's not working bring Albrighton on to ping in the crosses. Seems sensible to me.
STUHILL Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Yeah sorry not meaning it negatively I just don't see them as 'game changers' if we're trailing. Albrighton maybe but I'd have preferred him to start instead of Shinji today Gray for me could change a game. He has usually come on when we've been leading and given a defensive job but after watching him for England u21's, this guy can make things happen! Him and Albrighton could have a big impact. My only worry is that Ulloa and Okazaki could both be knackered by then and we have no strikers on the bench
Facecloth Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Hope I'm wrong but thats the wrong team imo. If you play Ulloa surely Albrighton has to start!? Don't see the value in starting Okazaki today personally You've just lost your main pacey centre forward, let's drop the other one too. Genius
MC Prussian Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Inler's definitely gone then What makes you say that? He's on a multi-year contract and Leicester would have to find a club willing to meet his wages plus transfer fee this summer. He could potentially be a pivotal game changer looking ahead to our Champions League campaign for all we know.
Zear0 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Personally please to see Jeff for Albrighton in these circumstances. We've lost some threat up front and believe he offers more goal threat (horrible phrase) than Albrighton does.
Charl91 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Worried about this one. Albrighton is consistent, whereas Jeff is very unpredictable.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Ranieri wanted the 4-4-2 shape that has served us so well, especially defensively but wanted crosses coming in early and from better angles than Albrighton coming back on his right foot. Makes sense, Schlupp also adds the pace factor to our slowish front line. So good move but still worry if Jeff will do the work of Albrighton and get the quality crosses in. Will be exciting
STUHILL Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 No Gomis at all and Montero starts on the bench for them. Interesting!
foxfanazer Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 You've just lost your main pacey centre forward, let's drop the other one too. Genius Got pace playing off Ulloa with Schlupp and Riyad so not a massive issue imo. Okazaki needs to win knock downs from Leo but I worry about his strength
FireFox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Claudio all but confirmed Albrighton will be used as a sub. It It isn't working by HT, I think he'll be on and on the right.
foxfanazer Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Gray for me could change a game. He has usually come on when we've been leading and given a defensive job but after watching him for England u21's, this guy can make things happen! Him and Albrighton could have a big impact. My only worry is that Ulloa and Okazaki could both be knackered by then and we have no strikers on the benchYeah thats my thoughts on Gray too and the striker situation
UPinCarolina Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Gray can play thru the middle, correct? Definitely. I know there was even talk of Amartey being able to do that as well.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Big game from Riyad today playing through the middle, gives him more options, I fancy a double from him. All lights on for Leicester !!
KP Fox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 You've just lost your main pacey centre forward, let's drop the other one too. Genius Jeff could run to your house, give you a slap and still make it back in time for the match!
KFS Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Schlupp to run them ragged. When they're tiring you bring on Alby to whip balls in that are met with half arsed defending as a result. 60th minute Leo goal with us winning 3-1 full time.
STUHILL Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 PACE. That is what has caused so man teams we have played problems, so I can see why he has Schlupp starting. Think of our goals this season and how many of them have been due to Vardy or Kante bursting foward, I can see Schlupp being told to look for those quick breakaways and run his socks off up and down for 60 mins, with the reliable Albrighton to come on later for a tired Jeff or to go to a plan B of getting dangerous crosses into the box if we need a goal or two. We all know Jeff can be almost unplayable when he is on it and bursting past players like they aren' there. I think (hope) Claudio has this spot on!
dylanlegend Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 It always seems like when Ulloa is on the pitch Albrighton isn't. This always surprises me. Surely our best crosser and best header-er is a good combo?
ScouseFox Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 omg we made a legit change that nobody thought would happen i cannot believe it. we're gonna win the league
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Schlupp recorded as the 4th fastest player in PL this season. Vardy is 1st... Hopefully CR has guided Jeff to make more intelligent runs...
WigstonWanderer Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 We need pace, it's understandable. Albrightons crosses are often from deep rather than the byline anyway. That's why it would have been good to see him play on the right.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 24 April 2016 Posted 24 April 2016 Kill the game early please guys, would love a nice 4-0. Come on you foxes!
