Spursfaninpeace Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Thank you sir. The meaningfulness for us is going to be immense (as it would no doubt be for you guys). Fair play to you for your good spirit, really appreciate that and wish you well for the future. However, it's not completely over for you guys as the press have waited until the result of your match to announce that Vardy will be suspended for our trip to Old Trafford!! All the best for the future though and thanks for your kind words. Based on your performance against Swansea I wouldn't worry mate, I think knowing you can win the title will be enough for your players to get over the line if I am honest. We blew it tonight and that's the difference between us and you guys this season, when the pressure has been truly on you lot have come up with the goods and we have fell short. So many stupid dropped points on our behalf (Newcastle, tonight, when we were 2-1 up against a 10 man Arsenal side.) I know plenty of spurs fans will moan about all sorts of things but the reality is we only have ourselves to blame really and you guys have been exceptional this season. I can only imagine in my heart what it would be like to see spurs win the title and I know it means the world to you guys like it would mean the world to us as well, you deserve it. I have seen a lot of supporters from both sides be rather petty on the run in but I can only speak for myself when I say that you have deserved it and fair play.
Kendal Fox Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Vardy suspension , we only dropped points against a very good West Ham and Spurs winning by 4 ... The so called experts actually thought we wouldn't win another game and Spurs would win all I think they hoped rather than thought!
Spursfaninpeace Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Part of me wants to tear into these innocent, well wishing Spurs fans in order to reciprocate our treatment; but that would lower me to their level. Fair play for having the decency to admit defeat so graciously. I see Tottenham being a force for many a year like everyone else. Man U is massive! Don't allow a few immature and bad sports in our fanbase to taint your view of us, we all have them.
UPinCarolina Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Can I be the first to say that if our PFA winner hadn't missed two penalty kicks this might have been over some time ago? I'm fvcking kidding, please don't crucify me
Spursfaninpeace Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Classy. Well said. Hope you win it next season. (We'll take the Champs League...) Thank you my friend, I hope so too, my fear is the regular lot will be back at it again though but you never know, would be nice for us both to be regular title contenders. Good luck in the champions league as well, that will be a brilliant experience believe me, when I was watching CL games at the lane it was some of the best moments I have experienced as a supporter.

I'm fvcking kidding, please don't crucify me I was sharpening the knifes while reading that good job I decided to read to the end
ajthefox Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Don't allow a few immature and bad sports in our fanbase to taint your view of us, we all have them. Can more people please take note of this.
jonesy9 Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 "Leicester City we're coming for you" ( And failing epically ) Ho Ho.
Spursfaninpeace Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Can more people please take note of this. Every single team has them unfortunately. They don't speak for the majority of us but they are normally vocally the loudest because we all know negativity attracts more attention that positivity. Doesn't help that the media try to stir the pot and make things bigger than they are either. The majority of spurs fans that I know are well wishing and think you guys deserve it and the vocal minority are normally just sore and bitter. Overall I have faith that when all is said and done the mature and level headed people always prosper in these situations. I can only apologise on behalf of any of these people for their immaturity and poor sportsmanship.

Whilst I feel almost 99 percent sure we will clinch the title, you just never know until it's concrete certainty - especially if you are a Leicester supporter as we've had howlers going back decades - You will no doubt remember as you beat us in an FA cup final back in the day, and then us losing to Utd in another final, combine that with our perenial fight with relegation and yo-yo-ing, etc, etc!! So we'll see... Thanks again for being so magnanimous and full of goodwill - Appreciate it.
The Doctor Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Spursfaninpeace is a rare oasis of sense compared to the rest of the Spurs fans we've seen. But still: We're better than you, We're better than you, We're leicester City, We're better than you!

merlin1969 Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Wow, just wow... Not even up on the BBC site yet... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36136305
Foxfan501 Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 We've not won it yet, still need 3 pts. Every chance yes, but just saying like.... and please don't bother to berate me for still being cautious because it won't change anything. Fingers crossed though !
biggs Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 3 pts is all we need. Many different scenarios but to be honest I hope it's us doing it at Man U Would be a bit selfish as its my birthday this weekend and it would be one to remember
Brooksy Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Pochettino - "I don't understand why we're not top of the Premier League" Draws 1-1 at home to West Brom
foxes_rule1978 Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Pochettino - "I don't understand why we're not top of the Premier League" Draws 1-1 at home to West Brom Well you only have 69 points... we have 76 points do the math

Many different scenarios but to be honest I hope it's us doing it at Man U Would be a bit selfish as its my birthday this weekend and it would be one to remember I hope it's Everton, mainly because it's at the KP and it's a Saturday so we can all get pissed with no serious repercussions. Not that you can't do that on a Sunday...but you know.
NewEnglandFox Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Spurs fan tv was disappointing. No impassioned rants. Only optimism about the future kind of stuff.
4everfox Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 Hi guys and girls, Tottenham supporter here, just want to say congratulations on your title win (it's all but over now for us let's face it.) I can't lie and say I am not heartbroken, after being a spurs supporter for over 30 years and watching us fall flat when it matters over and over again it has been utterly amazing to even see us be a part of a title race but I have to say you guys fully deserve it. Ever since our games against each other I have been keeping one eye on your results and I have to admire the courage and heart your team have shown. For all the times I have watched Chelsea and United and City and numerous other money bag teams win this league, if I could pick any team to lose in a title race with it would be a team like yours. Congratulations on your success and hopefully next season we will be going at it again for first and second place and with any luck it will be our turn next time, I hope anyway for my own sanity. I am sure both of our fanbases have plenty of idiots but I just want to say the majority of spurs supporters, whilst gutted, are going to be congratulating you for this achievement. Fair play and I hope you enjoy the celebrations. Well done Leicester. I can genuinely understand your heartbreak being a Leicester fan, we have suffered more then our fair share but its not over yet. We still need three points. You will get your moment if its not this season judging by the potential of your players, mark my words. Its really big of you to come on here and say that and I salute you for it. Forget about the fighting cock forum for the minute, I hope Spurs win the title for fans like you (not this season) and judging by this season it won't be too far away. Good on you.
Kendal Fox Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36136305 Ah, they finally put it up. But I find the timing off the announcement very suspicious... Whilst we should push on and do it, it will be a shame that Vardy will not get to be part of the potential title winning victory. And whilst not as upsetting, it's equally frustrating that he'll probably now be denied the chance to finish the league season as top scorer.
ftfagos Posted 25 April 2016 Posted 25 April 2016 The Fighting Cock - Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) forum - error Big error.
