kushiro Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Banned for last 2 games including Everton. For smoking a fkin e cig. Disgusted with the way the club have handled this. Life long fan season ticket holder and gonna miss the biggest game in our history... Gutted ain't the word Wow. That is outrageous. Could you give us more details? Which part of the ground? Had they already warned you? Give us the full picture, mate.
Resonate Posted 26 April 2016 Author Posted 26 April 2016 My mate got kicked out last year for smoking e cig in concourse. I was there but not involved. So there is history. Half time at West Ham approached in concourse and said they been watching me on camera all season and that I was leaving. No one ever came to my seat and warned me. Next thing 12 security physically knocking me about, no negotiation. They asked the police to arrest me which they declined. Next thing letter with ban. Appealed. appeal denied. SK1.
demon_dog Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 That is sending out one hell of a message to all smokers. Will certainly make many think twice about having either an E CIG or actual CIG inside the ground. Hard luck mate.
Resonate Posted 26 April 2016 Author Posted 26 April 2016 at least u can sell your ticket for 5000 quids , it's blocked....
TheLittleBigMan Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Lord knows what it's gonna be like in the future. We'll be lucky if we can even leave our seats at this rate. Proper party poopers.

Wish you could get it delayed until next season. The timing is just too cruel. If anyone at the club is reading this - could you please exercise some compassion and delay his ban until next season?

Life long fan season ticket holder and gonna miss the biggest game in our history... Gutted ain't the word I'm on the phone to the ticket office tomorrow then...That's shit mate, I've been kicked out and banned for less (you knew the rules) but still over zealous from stewards if you weren't pre warned.
Resonate Posted 26 April 2016 Author Posted 26 April 2016 S***. Wish you could get it delayed until next season. The timing is just too cruel. If anyone at the club is reading this - could you please exercise some compassion and delay his ban until next season? I asked them to suspend the ban til next season. Apologised, promissed it won't happen again. Appeal denied with no explanation. For a device that emits water vapour... Outdoors... The same ingrediants used in the smoke machines they use at functions there... Indoors! Oh and they advertise them on the crowd facing boards. Double standards.
filbertstreet Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Surely looking like a monumental cock smoking those e cigs is punishment enough?
GeorgeTheFox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 So they watched you but never asked you to stop?
WigstonWanderer Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Is there any logic behind banning e-cigs? Is it just some sort of bizarre political correctness?
lifted*fox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Surely looking like a monumental cock smoking those e cigs is punishment enough? Look like a cock using a vape or die from cancer. Hmm, tricky one. Vaping helped me to give up a 14 year smoking habit. Haven't vaped or smoked in 8 months now. You look more of a **** with a cigarette in your hand these days tbh.
aussie-fox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 get one of the e-petitions done up and get us all to sign it. smoking a e-cig does seem harsh
EnglishOxide Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 So they watched you but never asked you to stop? Not having it. OP is bullshitting.
Dennis118555 Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 i think I sit in front of you, with my daughter, it's disgraceful mate, can't believe they have banned you!
iancognito Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Can't you request them to carry the ban over to next season, suspended sentence or at least only have to do it for the first two games? There's a guy sat in front of us a couple of times with an e-cig and they've told him just to put it away. So it seems really harsh to get a ban.
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Any decent representative would ask you first to stop smoking and tell you why the ban is in force. To tell you they've been watching without acting indicates a dereliction of their duty to uphold club rules. That they would actually 'strong-arm' you with no good reason is assault. Leicester City FC is an entertainment company first and foremost - it has rules - NOT laws. A case could be made, if you have witnesses to the events you describe, that they had acted with malice and inappropriately, without justifiable cause. I have seen no evidence that the passive inhalation of vapour is harmful to bystanders. Contact the Mercury or a national and a local CAB or a lawyer to see what can be done to redress a harsh decision. Funny how someone can eff and blind on the terraces - within earshot of people who don't like that language - and not be asked to stop on pain of expulsion. After all who is it that makes a club - owners, managers and players all come and go - even the ground gets changed but the fans represent its continuance and part of its income. I recall a mate of mine telling me about his son's obsessive supporting of Leeds United. He told his lad, "You might love Leeds but they don't love you." Your living in a dream world with that I'm afraid. I was ragged out of the stadium thrown down in the cells for 20 minutes for having the audacity to stand up on the back row of the Kop for the sole reason the bloke in front of me was stood up, he had a lovely back do t get me wrong but I fancied watching the game. Stewards can be utter tossers and they love nothing more than to make an example when the opportunity arises.
Sharpe's Foxes Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Make a youtube video explaining your situation ASAP and also send a tweet to the Thai owner. That should get it resolved in time since they don't want bad P.R.
Rincewind Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Contact Claudio the Godfather. Sure he would also like the YouTube video too.
Danizen Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 I don't like breathing in other people's sickly cherry vanilla flavoured steam as much as the next non-smoker but that ban is ridiculously harsh. The timing of it, the lack of warning and the fact that you're almost certainly not the only one. The club are being cvnts about it.
Sionnach gorm Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 No sense of proportion at all. Just absurd. They should be ashamed. A warning would have been justified and sensible, something lacking at the KP.
