Larry_LCFC Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Heard quite a fair few around me moaning that Top had taken the trophy from the players and carried it well ahead of them during the lap of honour. Some even walked out because of it.They seemed to think the players should have had it. What are people's thoughts? I don't see a massive issue with it. The players were carrying their kids. Seemed an odd thing to get upset about in the circumstances.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Next they'll be complaining about the colour of the ribbons!
matty98 Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 If people left over that then good, don't need people like that at our club
Grewks Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 he could've had a piss in it......and i still would've cheered.

Enjoy it. Anybody who walked out needs to have a word with themself.
Dodgy Bob Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 From sky it looked like he was walking around pointing at the fans and telling them the trophy was theirs. Anyone who left because of that has got some issues.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 I thought he hogged it a bit but it was lovely to see how happy he was. Imagine ye man Roman Abramovich doing that last year

LJS Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Should have been the players leading the lap of honour with the trophy. Top clearly has one hell of an ego. His family has been fantastic for this club but that doesn't mean we should think everything they do is brilliant. They pulled the same trick two years back as well. Not a big deal in th scheme of things but it felt tacky to me.
Dodgy Bob Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Morgan had his kids, as did most of the players. Ranieri probably told Top to take it like he told him to get in the team photo.

The ONLY random and slghtly odd thing I noticed was one of their entourage walking behind them holding a big framed picture of what looked like a King or something. I'm sure someone can explain what all that was about! P.S. Top has earned the right to do what the fvck he wants as far as I'm concerned

Same as Top walking in front of the players. Such a bizarre thing to worry about. I think the players seemed to be moving so slowly, taking it all in. It makes sense the trophy kept moving so everyone could see it before needing to head home.

To be honest, they bankrolled this whole thing you can't exactly knock them.

foxy boxing Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Come on he deserves to spend as much time with the trophy as anyone the owners have been amazing top literally has been top

If Top has an ego that big then he would have joined in the team photo but he and Vichai stayed back at the start and only joined when Ranieri told them to.

Bboy Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Spent some time in Thailand, the king is revered and respected more than you can ever understand. Was once in a Thai gym and when the national anthem came on, everybody stopped working out and stood up. I have no problem with it at all with it. I can understand why people think it's weird but Thai people are among the most kind and friendly people you will ever meet. Never met a Thai person with an ego, they are just showiing respect. Anybody who got up and walked out need to go and have a good look in the mirror at themselves...look what they have done for us!
silebyboy Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Watching it on TV it certainly seemed like he had it in his hands for way longer than he should have. In my humble opinion it should be the players time to take the plaudits but if I'm upset at who is parading the premier league winners trophy around the pitch for us then things must be good.
