MikeyT Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 http://www.gazzettaworld.com/news/transfer-market/rumour/juventus-morata-leicester/ As Juventus star Alvaro Morata continues to face an uncertain future, a whole host of Premier League clubs are lining up to swoop for him this summer. The Spanish international has enjoyed two successful seasons in Turin, helping the club to back-to-back Serie A titles as well as an appearance in the Champions League final last year. While Real Madrid hold a buy-back option in his contract with the Bianconeri, the 23-year-old isn’t convinced over a return to the Spanish capital as he isn’t guaranteed a starting role, as reported by Marca. Morata is eager to find out how Zinedine Zidane intends on using him next season if he is to return, and isn’t interested in being third choice behind Karim Benzema and Jese Rodriguez. In turn, the Madrid giants could be tempted to take advantage of the situation by re-signing Morata, and selling him for a higher price to a Premier League club. There is no shortage of interest from England, with Leicester City the latest team to join the race along with the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United. Much will depend on which club is able to guarantee Morata a prominent role in their plans moving forward, with the quintet of English sides all having options at their disposal.
Stadt Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 Crikey there's been some crazy rumours over the last 5 years but this is right up there
AKCJ Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 He'd be fecking unreal. His assist for Cuadrado in the Champions League away at Bayern was next level.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 We were briefly linked with him in January too and I'm sure Claudio would love him here.... but there is no way he'd come!
ronnup Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 This would be incredible. I legally can't think of another player id rather have.
Grewks Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 1 in 4 goal ratio, in a much better side than ours, in a much much weaker league than ours (weakest of 'big 4'). Not for me. A very limited player imho.
Grewks Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 This would be incredible. I legally can't think of another player id rather have. I can honestly think of many..... Slimani and lacazette for starters.
Libertine Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 I can honestly think of many..... Slimani and lacazette for starters. But is that thinking legally?
stevelcfc Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 Wages, fee, big player ego. Not saying that he's a bad player though, far from it, but there's far better value out there.
Foxymcoxy Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 Never gonna happen, and I'm not convinced he'd be that good anyway.
Richmondfox Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 I thought the plan was for Real Madrid to buy him back then sell him to Arsenal for an extra 10M
ronnup Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 Ha ha. Legally? Christ. He's mint, properly mint. Mark my words.
Lord Kante Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 If we sign him, I genuinely think we could win the World Cup
Robin JD Popley Posted 11 May 2016 Posted 11 May 2016 We are the Champions of England, never say never anymore.
foxy boxing Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 i can't imagine we will bag morata,if we did it would be a real statement of intent by claudio and the owners but that is where we need to be shopping with and competing with the big boys
Grewks Posted 12 May 2016 Posted 12 May 2016 No idea what a lot of you guys are seeing in him. The lad has never hit double figures in top flight football, playing for 2 of the greatest clubs in the world. Ulloa scores a goal every 3.76 league games Morata scores a goal every 4.13 league games. Would rather take musa. Cheaper, no older, more flexible and averages a goal every 2.3 games.
