The Doctor Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 How does Lloris not walk for that? High tackle, nowhere near the ball. Fairly sure the rules on foul play don't have the caveat "unless you're a goalkeeper"

Far too much state the obvious punditry going on nowadays. Have you seen the fixtures for each team?Swansea are clearly in the best position.

trabuch Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 Just watching Spurts bottling it again. They'll be lucky to finish second.

Fairly sure the rules on foul play don't have the caveat "unless you're a goalkeeper" Vardy tackle against Stoke Away, takes the ball, commentators complain about how 'reckless' he is, and argue its a deserved red. Drinkwater tackle last week, plays the ball, slight follow through, commentators go apeshit "Could that be a red?" Lloris two foots a guy at knee height, barely clips the ball. Jonathon Pearce says "Got the ball. Not a foul" The Spurs wanking in the media is absolutely unbelievable. Just like last season, when Dele Alli punched a man in the balls, and the only reason it got caught was that city fan Arlo White on NBC and his team showed the replay, while Sky didn't even mention it, whilst combing over every decision in our games to try and find any excuse to claim we were favoured by refs. That net spend graph and "2 year table" on Sky was absolutely pathetic. Your shitty team lost, Sky. Get over it. Nobody outside of your wanky little North London bubble likes Tottenham bloody Hotspur, so stop talking about them like you've got an erection every time Kane balloons a selfish shot over the bar from 40 yards. Slight Edit - not just Sky. BBC, the Guardian and BT flipping Sport equally as guilty.
The Doctor Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 Watching our set pieces again (Ndidi's goal, mariappa hitting the post), we've been playing around with some nice routines - just as well given we've scored 3 direct free kicks in three years...

But you were suggesting obvious punditry based on the current points. Ignoring the fact Swansea have an extra point on the board if they were even with the same goal difference you would say Swansea had the advantage based on upcoming fixtures.
trabuch Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 Slim's run on that last goal and the Watford defenders. Vardy's vision and the finish from Mark. Lovely stuff. Love goals like that.

It is stating the obvious. Team higher in the league in a better position than team lower in the league? No shit.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 Danny Murphy saying Mahrez should leave. Where should he go? The thing is, a) we don't have to sell, so he won't be cheap; and b) he has a 6 month period till January. Have a great 6 months and walk into these so called big clubs.

At least he won't get linked with Arsenal this summer, champions league and all..

I love how they've decided that it can never be achieved again. Our summer is probably going to spending money again for fun. If ever the top four could be reached again, it's in this league. Yes, the bigger clubs will also spend but there's no reason why shouldn't aim higher.

Mahrez on the highlights reel looks champions league standard. But i think most leicester fans would agree hes done nothing this season to suggest he earns that rating. The big clubs will have done their scouting on him, realistically can only see him going to a europa league club and man u and arsenal dont need him. Unless someone from abroad comes in for him, cant see where he would go. Have to say its nice now knowing realistically, only the top 7 will have the pulling power to snap up our better players
trabuch Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 I noticed the MOTD edit was very favourable to Mahrez - let's keep quiet about Albrighton...

Have to say its nice now knowing realistically, only the top 7 will have the pulling power to snap up our better players I genuinely don't think EL football is enough of a draw for our players to leave. They've tasted CL football and will want more of the same. I feel the players are happy enough here that they'd prefer to fight for top 4 with us rather than leave to play EL. A few would likely consider leaving to play CL. But of the current top 4, Chelsea are the only one who will happily poach our players and aren't too proud to do so. Pep wouldn't touch any of our players with a barge pole. Tottenham don't pay enough and Liverpool are too inconsistent. Man U don't have a use for any of our players apart from Kasper, so here's hoping they miss out on CL.
trabuch Posted 6 May 2017 Posted 6 May 2017 I think we have something a bit special at this club - and I think the players know it. If Kasper stays (he will) I expect them all to. (Boozy Blue tinted I know - but you know)
