Well to start with, not state what the current situation is and think that passes for punditry...

I'm sorry but I really don't know what you expect him to say. Should he completely ignore the league positions and remaining fixtures? What do you expect him to base his opinions on?

Love Riyad but anyone that watched the game today and wouldn't have given motm to Albrighton even before his goal just doesn't know football.

Sensational performance.

I noticed the MOTD edit was very favourable to Mahrez - let's keep quiet about Albrighton...

Made it look like it was all about us when in the match thread most said that watford had quite a few chances themselves also.

Mahrez is off for around 40m if offered as it is a gentlemans agreement in his contract according to reports so don't worry he'll probably be gone soon. Then some might start to realise what a special player we had on our hands.

Just watched our bit, maybe (and that's a big maybe) they highlighted mahrez because he seemed like the Player last of last season. And, there is a lot of talk about him moving away.

Plus, they showed most of the chances, it's not his fault that he was in most of them.

Mahrez was decent today, but it's been a long time coming. People can say 'where are the haters now', etc. and I'm not a hater- I genuinely loved the guy last season- but he's been the chink in our armour for months. If he can carry on today's form for the rest of the season, then great. If he goes back to being the sulky, lazy, slow winger with no end product that he's been for the last few months, I'd happily thank him for his service and cash in during the summer.

Tricky one, but he almost seems like he's had enough here, and I wouldn't be overly sad to see him go.

I think you hit the nail on the head Ted (I'm a poet and I didn't know it...)

We were discussing Mahrez last night in the pub and all agreed that it's only us at City that could be so patient with him.

This is true...if Riyad was at Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Barcelona etc and had gone the number of games he has, generally playing badly, or not showing much etc, he'd have been dropped. These clubs don't accept this..you don't imagine that Liverpool would keep playing Coutinho if he'd performed like Mahrez has this season.

All this 'haters' stuff is fookin nonsense, and is used by the kids on here when they can't think up an argument. I love Mahrez, and think he's world class when he's on his game. This season, he's been so far OFF his game, it's been unreal. It's only us that would put up with this...essentially because of last season.

I'm re-watching MOTD and did question why Palace lost 5-0. An Allardyce team as well. Then I saw who was centre half...

I've not said he should ignore either, if he thinks that this will be how it ends then fine, I agree with that. My problem is all he said was that Swansea are in front at the moment. That isn't analysis. Swansea are in the driving seat, yes, because they're the ones who control their own destiny, but that'd be true even if they had Chelsea at home, man city away for their last two and hull had Burnley at home, Middlesbrough away, so just saying they're ahead at the moment means **** all.

Don't worry we have Gray as a replacement...

Honestly, we know what a special player we had on our hands. And I emphasise the word 'had' there- he's been atrocious this season. Sure, he was great last year, but when the moments of magic aren't present and there's no end product, he's simply too pedestrian to carry in our high energy system.

How does Lloris not walk for that? High tackle, nowhere near the ball. Fairly sure the rules on foul play don't have the caveat "unless you're a goalkeeper"

No, the caveat seems to be "unless you're a Spurs player"

Forster saves Milner's pen.

Don't want to see Southampton grab a point at Anfield but it's looking very possible.
