RowlattsFox Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 When I was a steward you would check all areas prior to opening the gates. But this was not always done meticulously. anything should have been found at that point.
GaelicFox Posted 15 May 2016 Author Posted 15 May 2016 Not sure how this can be remotely funny , the security forces and establishment are likely to react heavily to this if it was a viable device This could change our match day experience forever ! And like at airports , the people who pick up the price tag for extra security will always be us the paying customers ! Hope to god it is a hoax
Jimothy Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 CCTV footage will hopefully come in handy here. Although it's near-impossible to say where to start exactly with the investigation, you're potentially looking back as early as the evening after the home game against our side two weeks ago! Doubt it would have been there from two weeks ago. Surely they do a sweep of the ground after every game and before the next one. It's been brought in today that's for sure. Wasn't too long before kick off that they found it, so I'd be amazed if it stayed there undetected until that point.
GaelicFox Posted 15 May 2016 Author Posted 15 May 2016 Worrying. Hope it turns out to be a hoax of some kind. Not sure the French security are as competent as ours. Ours are compleatly incompetent , I have been sneaking in Cracken Rum to every away game all season NOT One search came close to finding 2 x 12 Oz hip flasks all season ! Well actually I was nearly caught in man city but the guy accept my "it's my phone" excuse My little satchel was never ONCE checked properly all season

Tuna Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 So it turns out the suspect device was a replica device used for training security personell, which was left behind after a training exercise. What an unbelievable Fcuck up by all concerned.

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 So it turns out the suspect device was a replica device used for training security personell, which was left behind after a training exercise. What an unbelievable Fcuck up by all concerned. I assume these were the same exercises that were criticised earlier this week for being to 'islamy' based.
Jimothy Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 No, ...they did! No, they didn't, it really did happen.
Ashley Posted 15 May 2016 Posted 15 May 2016 I said straight away just before going on the tube earlier it was a fake/dummy run. Pretty clever by all involved. Biggest ground in England bar Wembley... well done for how well it went though clearing the ground.
