Have our City supporting days 'peaked'?

This season has been literally like a fairytale, thoroughly amazing and probably beyond most of our dreams!

I've been a City fan for about 30 years, lived through the good and bad... but now I can't help feeling that I'll never see anything better in my football supporting lifetime! Don't get me wrong, I'm massively proud of the club and our city and I'm hugely excited about the Champions League next year. This moment is obviously something we can remember forever but it's a strange feeling to think we can probably never better this achievement!

Probably sound like a weirdo pessimist but it's strange now it's done and dusted, I feel kinda lost!

Nah this is only the beginning. It doesn't matter what happens in the future as we can always relive this moment.

Also a Premier League and FA cup double would be something to aim for next

Champions league to come, serious potential to keep doing incredibly well it's very exciting! Alternatively we could be singing songs about winning the league when we're 1-0 down at Doncaster in a few years but hey that will be fun

Probably, but you still wouldn't change this this year for the World.

The last three seasons are never going to be topped, the good thing is we can enjoy football forever now without really having to worry about anything, my dreams of what Leicester City could ever achieve have not only been realised, but surpassed.

Yes but 1000% better than it never happening!

Spot on!

There's still plenty to experience.

It's unlikely that any of it will match this season but so what? If you always compared everything we did to a previous high point you'd often end up disappointed. "Beating Forest on the last day wasn't as good as Claridge's shinner", "The 2000 League Cup wasn't as good as 1997 League Cup", "Beating Aston Villa 3-2 wasn't as good as beating United last season".

Keep comparisons out of your mind and enjoy each season, each competition and even each game in isolation.

No offence but I really would love to enjoy this seasons achievements and the Euros before I contemplate if my chips are going to be pissed on! So much to look forward to, as others have said :)

In 15 years time when we're 1-0 down to Bradford and we've gone through 3 managers in one season, we will sing songs about our glory days of getting a guard of honour at Stamford Bridge, with Andy King being co-commentator on Radio Leicester. We will have fans calling in on Monday night's telling a 43 year old "Kingy" to get his boots back on and cos he's better than the current useless sack of shit.

I know what the OP means, and we will never have a season as incredible as this, unless we win the CL, but even then if we finish top 6, that would still be a drop in league form.

We still have an FA Cup shaped whole in our trophy cabinet, but that is only 6 games.

The problem is success is subjective and we will never again be such unlikely winners of the league, well at least not without a decade of crap to precede it, and even if  we finish second next year with 80 points it will be a less successful season than this one, but it would still feel amazing to get into the Champions League  next season with a last minute goal on the final game of the season. Or qualify from our CL group.

Nothing will surpass this season, ever, but that doesn't mean I won't celebrate a goal, a win, a hard earned point any less than I would have done, it just probably means I won't spend every waking minute between games working out combinations and permutations and the psychological impact of our title rivals losing in the cup vs the increased fatigue of progressing in said competition.

Even if we were to win the champions league next year it wouldn't top this year. Mad as it sounds, let's face it, quite a few of us are thinking at the back of our minds that we could actually do something in the champions league next year. Whereas this season none of us thought we were going to win the league. This has been the greatest, most shocking season any football team has had for at least the last 40 years, how is it possible, even with further success to top it?

Too much breathing in on Viccy Park?

Yep, I inhaled an inflatable dinosaur (I have no idea where it came from)....

There is no way our supporting days have peaked.

If we have a successful campaign next year then our overseas followers will explode. Right now some people in Thailand are saying they are half Liverpool half Leicester. You watch that change all over the world if we can establish ourselves in the top 6....

I don't understand why there should be any feeling of coming to a terminus. Quite the contrary this could and should be just the beginning of nw chapters in which we're competing at the level we should have aspired to long ago.

Targets for the immediate future are trying to retain our Premiership title, win the FA Cup (or even compete properly for once), to establish and promote ourselves as worthy champions League competitors and to enjoy adventures in things like the Community Shield and other competitions which may open up fof a club of our newly-found status.

It's surely the same in any other sport. Once you reach any target, you aspire to the next level and, in so doing, start building a history to be increasingly proud of.

For me The Premiership title is just a way marker and the ongoing potential is enormous. As Ranieri says, just keep  dreaming and believing. There's lots more to come if we want it enough.

I can't get over the fact that we have had the best LCFC experience as supporters in 132 years. That blows my mind. We are so Privileged. And I don't think it's over yet.
