To come across trouble, you'd need to actively look for it and even reprobate hooligans have a bit of dignity in that they don't look to pick fights with a family.

In fact, quite the opposite. Many of them think Scottish football is 'pish' and would rather watch the PL. I've had people congratulate ME when I say I'm from Leicester!

I watch the two Dundee teams from time to time. Good match day experience but the quality is pretty low. I've also been in pubs in a city shirt on match days and had nothing but congratulations this year.

bovril Posted 22 May 2016 Posted 22 May 2016 I spend a lot of time in Glasgow and never had any kind of problems. Having said that, the rivalry in football is very passionate. I watched the Scotland Germany match in Portree last summer, pub was full of Germans and I was the only one that got any grief from the Scotland fans. All good fun though.....

The sooner pitch invasions are met with lifetime banning orders and heavy fines the better, might stop some of the nobs on here condoning them too! The OPs warning is like we're heading back to the 80s and a war zone and we are not!
