AKCJ Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 They played alongside each other in his one and only game- and there hasnt been one since... In Kante's only game. Which means that Diarra has been keeping him out of the team.
Frank_mckenzie Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 Ya can't really say he's been keeping him out the team if that's his first call up, would be like mark noble retiring from international without ever getting a call up......
thybluefox Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 is there a player in the world that is not ''over-rated''? The phrase seems to be throw around at pretty much anyone we are linked with, either they are not good enough or they are over-rated... When a user on here says that a player is over-rated, what they're actually saying is "everyone else thinks he's great, but I think he's shit for no logical reason".
foxes21 Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 good analysis of diarra this season, its in french but easy to follow. 2:46 - 4:49 5:51 - 8:42 10:09 - 16:20 those are the 3 main parts of the video.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 In Kante's only game. Which means that Diarra has been keeping him out of the team. Bit like saying 'Milner has been keeping Drinkwater out the team', or 'Sturridge has been keeping Vardy out the team'. Cmon mate, Kante has only burst through this season. A season ago he wouldn't even been thought about as nearing the international set up. It's only now that Kante would have a chance of replacing Diarra in the France set up.
CosbehFox Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 I'd be surprised if a bloke who's played only half the games this season for Marseille gets into a French midfield containing Pogba, Kante and Matuidi. He could do if they play three in the midfield I guess but Cabaye and Schneiderlin will be sniffing about too. I'm unsure. He's been out half this season for Marseille who aren't a good side in a pretty poor division. I think we can do better personally. They play three in midfield to which Diarra is a staple of (France that is)
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 They play three in midfield to which Diarra is a staple of (France that is) Yes I know. Again......he's played half a season in a crap team in a crap league. Would you start him in a midfield three over Kante? Kante who has been amazing in the Premier side in the most competitive league on the planet. This is assuming that the other two starting would be Pogba and Matuidi. I know I wouldn't.

Diarra has been keeping him out of the side and one friendly when they both started doesn't prove much. I'm not suggesting that Kante is a worse player, I think he's a very special player. But i'm just saying that Diarra isn't a slouch to have kept the world's best box to box midfielder (in my eyes) out of the side. Yes I know. You clearly don't watch enough of Diarra to have a comment. If we're going on form then really Pogba should be the one missing.

No, I'm just stating that if a World Cup winner currently (same position as him too) managing France identifies Diarra as a better option than the likes of Cabaye. Then I'm all for signing him rather than make some massive assumption based on the number of games he's played this season without actually seeing him feature in one of these games

foxfanazer Posted 24 May 2016 Posted 24 May 2016 What Col doesn't know about combative centre mids isn't worth knowing!

If Diarra NOW continues to keep him out its either because France don't know a good thing when it's smacking them in the chops OR Diarra is still an exceptional player. And you'd seriously drop Pogba?
MC Prussian Posted 22 August 2016 Posted 22 August 2016 Allegedly close to signing for Galatasaray: http://www.footmercato.net/super-lig/galatasaray-annonce-un-accord-avec-lassana-diarra_184827
SheppyFox Posted 22 August 2016 Posted 22 August 2016 Id really like this as well, will be a shame for him to go to galatasary
Ric Flair Posted 22 August 2016 Posted 22 August 2016 I'd have that Inan from Galatasaray just for his vicious free kicks and greasy hair alone.
