Beliall Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Just for a bit of fun, take our minds off the outgoing transfer talk. I'm a bit upset that we have to wear the new crappy prem badges in gold, instead of the more visible old one.
Fox92 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Gold and blue ribbons on the trophy because we now play in blue and gold. Should be blue and white.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Still not having a Leicester representative play for England in a tournament final.
Fox92 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Still not having a Leicester representative play for England in a tournament final. a) Vardy becomes an Arsenal player b) Vardy stays at Leicester but just doesn't play for England
Webbo Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Still not having a Leicester representative play for England in a tournament final. Apart from Gordon Banks.
Fox92 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Apart from Gordon Banks. Think he means during our lifetime.
Webbo Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Think he means during our lifetime.was during my lifetime.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Think he means during our lifetime.This... though I had forgotten Banks was during my lifetime. Not mine, you old duffer xxx
Fox92 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 was during my lifetime. Thank God the internet didn't exist when Banks moved to Stoke.
Webbo Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 This... though I had forgotten Banks Not mine, you old duffer xxx I was barely 1
davieG Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Thank God the internet didn't exist when Banks moved to Stoke. Or Shilton to Stoke Or McLintock to Arsenal Would you go as far as saying it grinds your gears? Just make it football related
bovril Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Gary Monk's eyes. Sounds like the title of a song by the Chameleons.
Izzy Posted 6 June 2016 Posted 6 June 2016 Still not having a Leicester representative play for England in a tournament final. Well, I'm not so sure...We've just been discussing this on the Vardy thread. Apparently the transfer window doesn't officially open until July 1st which suggests that even if he says he's going, he's still our player until then? So he could be a Leicester player up until the 1/4 finals end of June, then an Arsenal player for the semi's and final in July. Which we won't get to, so it's all bollux really
daventry_fox Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 When people refer to Cristiano Ronaldo as CR7 and the premier league as the BPL/EPL. It's lazy and cringy
ozleicester Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 When people refer to Cristiano Ronaldo as CR7 and the premier league as the BPL/EPL. It's lazy and cringy To be fair, there is a world outside the UK and much of it has "premier" leagues, so EPL is a neccesary way of describing what you mean.
davieG Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 5th and 6th officials what a complete waste of time effort and money.
daventry_fox Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 To be fair, there is a world outside the UK and much of it has "premier" leagues, so EPL is a neccesary way of describing what you mean. That's fair enough but say English premier league or barclays premier league. We really have reached the pinnacle of lazy when people can't even be bothered to speak
KFS Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Two horrible words combined during the summer and January. "In talks" Fvck off
TiffToff88 Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 Considering offering £30m for Deeney but refusing to pay the reported asking price of £23m (30m Euros) for Slimani has got to me. Deeney is good, but slimani would be a better value deal, surely?

Deeney is good, but slimani would be a better value deal, surely? You don't know how quickly and easily Slimani will adapt. We could buy him and he struggles like Kramaric, we are then stuck with a £20+ million pound player. Whilst Deeney is expensive he comes with less risk. He knows the league, he knows the players.

I guess so, the one thing that i think Deeney has in his favour is the fact that he scored 13 goals in his first premier league season. a lot of people are saying that its not enough to warrant such a big price tag, but are these people forgetting that Vardy only got 5 in his first top flight season? IF we sign Deeney for £30m+, i will give him a lot of time to prove himself, but there will be high expectations and i just hope he can handle the pressure
Izzy Posted 22 June 2016 Posted 22 June 2016 If I hear the phrase "triggered his release clause" one more time this summer, I may well explode....
