AjcW Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 I think the commentators are being incredibly harsh on Ukraine. They've done well for me! It's like they're forgetting Germany are world champions!
Socks Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 i take that back last 10 mins they have been shite at the back
GaelicFox Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Cracking game this Good game this. Toni Kroos is a marvelous player Madrid offered him to juve and €75m cash for progba Seems mad that
Izzy Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 I think the commentators are being incredibly harsh on Ukraine. They've done well for me! It's like they're forgetting Germany are world champions! Ukraine have played well last 10 mins to be fair. They're no mugs. Good game this....
Finnegan Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 I think the commentators are being incredibly harsh on Ukraine. They've done well for me! It's like they're forgetting Germany are world champions! Disagree. First twenty minutes were gash. Germany have no Reus or Schurrle, they've got pace but it's not blistering on the break, they can afford to push out.
Fox92 Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Ukraine look decent going forward - far from conservative.
Finnegan Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Ukraine look decent going forward - far from conservative. Yeah sure, in the last twenty odd minutes. Started like Norn Iron though.

Germany have no Reus or Schurrle, they've got pace but it's not blistering on the break, they can afford to push out.True but they had a few efforts. And Germany at the back would be nothing without Neuer. I'd say it's more a tactical issue than the quality of the Ukraine players though, they need four in midfield not three.
StanSP Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Dunno why it took so long but Ukraine finally realised they can attack Germany and it nearly paid off. Should make for a good game 2nd half if they stick with that realisation and not show Germany too much respect. True but they had a few efforts. And Germany at the back would be nothing without Neuer. I'd say it's more a tactical issue than the quality of the Ukraine players though, they need four in midfield not three. Neuer is pretty damn amazing but without him they'd have Ter Stegen who is one of the best in the world as well.
AKCJ Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Kroos has been mustard, Ukraine will worry a few sides in this tournament. Got a fair amount of genuine quality.
Jattdogg Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Entertaining game. Makes us look out of depth right now. Unlucky for Ukraine not to be tied at the half
foxes21 Posted 12 June 2016 Author Posted 12 June 2016 these past few performances of germany, ukraine & croatia makes our performance vs russia look pathetic
Socks Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 these past few performances of germany, ukraine & croatia makes our performance vs russia look pathetic Amen!
Chester Dontlie Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Ukraine should score their chance there, that was a great move. Also if that lad Rokitskiy looked up from time to time before crossing the ball... Good game that. I wonder what will be "Booger" Yogi's idea for the second half. Germany were good but rather shaky at the back
Finnegan Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Kroos has been mustard, Ukraine will worry a few sides in this tournament. Got a fair amount of genuine quality. You have to feel for Norn Iron. This is a horrible group for them. All three of these will trounce them to get out of the group. Had thought Ukraine might be there one chance but these will thunder them.
foxfanazer Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Germany need another I think. At least you know they'll push to get it
MC Prussian Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 The atmosphere in this game has been shocking so far - dropped tremendously for the second half.
Finnegan Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 I'm a big fan of Gotze as an attacking midfielder, he was stunning at BVB with Reus. But he's been absolutely abysmal today as a forward. Far be it for me to tell Jogie Low what to do but I'd have had Schurrle as a focal point over him. Bit more thrust. Even Sane or Keissling.

I'd have even brought him on at HT.
Guest ttfn Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Germany going for the crazy approach of bringing on a fast forward to help see out a 1-0 lead.
Finnegan Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 I was gonna mention Sane instead of Gotze. I'd have even brought him on at HT. Lo and behold, he's Schurrle! I wouldn't pick Sane over Schurrle. He's one for the future no doubt but I don't think he's ready yet and he's not really an outright striker either. Schurrle has more experience playing as a 9 than the other midfield/wingers and more pace and power. I understand why he feels Kiessling and Gomez don't fit but that doesn't mean Gotze is the answer.
