He's been coached all of his life to pass footballs and he just can't do it as well as others. Football is infinitely more important than just having a good physicality (which Jeff undoubtedly does). Jeff Schlupp would make an awful central midfielder, it doesn't matter if Guardiola is coaching him. He does not have a footballing brain. He's perfectly good enough as a kick and rush, hit and hope type player. But the Premier League demands far more than that. Especially in the upper reaches of it.

Some of the little touches and passes in this shows he does in fact have a 'footballing brain'
HighPeakFox Posted 17 August 2016 Posted 17 August 2016 Whatever his limits, to suggest Jeff has no footballing brain is not only an insult to him, but to every professional he's worked for too.

As others have mentioned, we could have done with him on the bench on Saturday. We are a top club champions of England ! Yes of course we played some lovely stuff as well, but our game was built around pace and directness on the counter attack, and long balls into channels were a massive weapon in the armoury, and will continue to be this season.

Besides, people are free to leave and chat somewhere else should they want to.. It's kind of like my own house, just because i have given someone permission to come into my house , it doesnt mean they're free to insult my wife in what is a 'free world'..
