DennisNedry Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 Assuming we could have Vardy in the Leicester XI, I think we'd beat England easily. Defend resolutely against England's turgid sideways passing shite, and hit them with our quick counter attacks and clinical finishing. Thoughts?
Kitchandro Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 Not even in question. England aren't any better than Wales.
Corky Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 Kante would overrun the midfield, Mahrez would slice them open with his skill.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 I think most top clubs would beat their respective national teams because: A) they are a team who play and train together week in and out. & B) they're not restricted to picking players of one nation, the best of which might not provide a balanced team.
gw_leics772 Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 Fair question imo. Man u used to sing it when they were winning the league and it was never in question. I think it would only be us struggling to believe we actually won the league that could make us question it. Easy win
Guest Lcfc82 Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 We would destroy them, they would play into our with there pass round in circles brand of football.
Fox42 Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 England are around the same club level as Liverpool/Stoke so it's a no brainier.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 England are around the same club level as Liverpool/Stoke so it's a no brainier. They really aren't. Thats doing Liverpool and Stoke a disservice.
Sampson Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 England are full of Spurs and Liverpool players with less cohesion. Of course we'd beat them.
EGBFitness Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 Aston Villa would beat that lot tonight ! Was just about to put this
ARTY_FOX Posted 20 June 2016 Posted 20 June 2016 Kante would overrun the midfield, Mahrez would slice them open with his skill. Adding to this, Vardy would be used correctly
Fox92 Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 Quite easily. We're quick, use the ball effectively and take chances. England are the complete opposite. Mahrez would've scored a hattrick with those chances Lallana had/missed.

ThaiFox Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 Depends if we swapped managers! The totally inept, cautious, hodgson would destroy the current LCFC side. Whereas Ranieri would galvanize England.
Bayfox Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 Aston Villa would beat that lot tonight ! To far. Get off this site
TiffToff88 Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 I think that Northern Ireland could beat England at the moment, and they're essentially a League One side, so Leicester would have no trouble at all
LAprice_ Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 I'd go further than that, I think Leicester would beat any team in this competition.
Dodgy Bob Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 Leicester would rip Hodgson's England to shreds. Russia are basically a league one side and Hodgson's team couldn't even beat them. International level is a step down from the major European leagues these days until you get to major tournament semi finals, and even then most of the big clubs would beat most of the major nations.
Fox92 Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 I'd go further than that, I think Leicester would beat any team in this competition. Nah, even with Kante, we wouldn't get the ball off Spain.
LAprice_ Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 Nah, even with Kante, we wouldn't get the ball off Spain. See, I was thinking specifically about Spain. When I watched them in their first game they dominated possession but this left Ramos, Pique and Busquets so far up to the pitch. I think I just got a bit over-excited at the thought of a Danny Drinkwater ball over the top.

I didn't watch their first game as it was mid afternoon but I watched them totally batter Turkey and they were unbelievable.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 21 June 2016 Posted 21 June 2016 No, Leicester would not beat Spain! Nor Germay, France or Croatia. I think we'd just edge Italy and think we'd beat Belgium fairly easily. As for England, their style of play would suit us I suppose, and we'd probably do a smash and grab, but it would be deep defending and hardly a resounding victory
