Not sure how it's clearly a better draw for us.

 

Portugal cannot defend for shit and our strengths should lie in our attacking prowess.

 

I think we'd have beat them about 4-2 yet this Iceland side is outrageously well organised. We have failed to break down anyone who decide to put their men behind the ball.

 

Obviously on paper it's an obvious answer that Iceland are worse off. But Iceland look tough to score against.

Correct.

If Ireland or Sweden win then Northern Ireland play Wales. If they don't then Wales play Turkey and Northern Ireland play France.

it's a shame that Albania are now out. They win a game and don't qualify. Portugal draw all of theirs in the groups and qualify.

The Round of 16 draw looks ridiculous. One side has Germany, Italy, Spain, France and England while the other has almost no big nations. 

 

Means a country of the size of Croatia, Poland or Wales is almost guaranteed to be in the final.

That last-gasp Payet goal is proving extremely costly for them. Lots of endeavour, but they showed little quality. Northern Ireland aren't an iota better, but they had McGovern and were lucky Germany didn't convert four or five more chances or they'd be in Albania's shoes right now.

I actually think the Italian changes are really bad news for Ireland.

Some very youthful, energetic guys that have been put in and instead of relaxing because they're already through, they're actually all going to be auditioning for a place in the next game, which could be their last.

This'll be hard.

I'm not a fan of all this half of the draw nonsense. There should be no seeding in my opinion after group stage. Just a random draw each round.

Make it far more interesting, FA cup style, but is there enough time to do that?

Ie stadiums, teams etc as you can only do the draw after all matches, then it's a day or two until the next round starts.

Tennis is a bit shite as this is the same, the top 4 only bump into each other at the semis, get a proper draw where Novak could face Murray round one, then get Federra round two etc.
