We should lobby the club to play our anthem.
Hey Jude is not us.

We as fans should get our way on this.
We are the club and the life blood everyone else comes and goes we are for life.

Now is the time.

I do not seem to have the add vote plse mods add it.
WYS or Hey Jude?

Yet another thread on this what songs should/shouldn't be played pre-games.

My point is get the vote and show the club.

Not matter what we say hey Jude will still be played first game next season...

we have time to change it.

Or let's not bother and stick with something that has nothing to do with our great club.

WYS is us and ours.

We are the life blood we can't pick players or the team.

But we can have a say on what is us.

I've wanted WYS played at our ground for a very long time. All of us singing our anthem moments before each home game would be superb, with CL nights too.

I wouldn't necessarily replace Hey Jude, I'd like to see the tune played earlier just before the montages or in and around then. We can get it played, but what I've always persisted with, is the amount of fans who want WYS played. I have contacted the club on this suggestion before, and they did pass on my comments to the media team.

Thank you mod for adding the vote.

But what is sing our own stuff.

WYS is us?

Sing your own stuff is no music by over the speakers the fans break into spontaneous songs, so not led by the club.

Rather than disagreeing with each version to be played, the way forward would be to trial versions of WYS to see how our fans react to each tune and how well we sing each version.

Personally feel we need a slow version played, because I do genuinely think if we establish this again as our anthem at home games, we will then sing it better at away games for the future and throughout home matches at Filbert Way, at a better pace. This has much potential and we're capable.

This. Just because the scouse and Palace play songs at the start of the match doesn't mean we have to.

Yes we should play wys.

Yes it should be our club anthem.

However it does need a decent version playing.

No it is our anthem not a should be.

Our owners good as they are need to understand this.

I would love to see WYS make a comeback but I think it's had its day.

I was in the fanzone before the Everton game, the band sang it and the over 40's really went for it but there were a lot of bemused looks from the younger ones around.

Sad because it is unique to us.

Should do another song to replace the jazz-up version of the post-horn gallop when players return from half-time.

I actually don't mind Hey Jude as it's a great tune and seems to sound alright at our ground. Would be nice to have WYS in the match day somewhere though.

Wymsey, you mentioned a song to replace the jazzed up post horn gallop second half, perhaps a quick tune of WYS here would be nice. Of course, keeping the live post horn gallop first half.

I would rather nothing played other than the post horn gallop

.

That is us and us doing WYS.

Pre music hey Jude has nothing to do with our club ffs.

This. Just because the scouse and Palace play songs at the start of the match doesn't mean we have to.

Both of those are cringe worthy :(

WYS is a great song & anthem when sung at the right pace. As it stands the song is sung at far too fast a pace & sounds like it is being performed as part of a fecking singing race.
