CB, CM & ST needed after tonight.

As I've said before we need a younger CB who can be a long term replacement for Huth or Wes.

I'd sell Inler, have Mendy as the defensive option if we go 4-3-3, then Drinkwater, King, James and another as options to play in front of Mendy or in a 4-4-2.

Finally I think we need an alternative option to Okazaki. We have Musa as an alternative for Vardy, Ulloa as the big man, now all we need is an alternative to Shinji. He works hard but he has been our weak link on too many occasions, need someone who can do his role but score & create more goals.

I'd be more than happy with Lemina, Keane and Luan coming in to fill those roles.

I personally think a CB is needed but is further down in terms of what's most important, would rather us go out and buy a (young) right back to challenge Simpson (a right footed Ben Chillwell basically) as I think we look a bit stretched there.

i would like a centre half but wouldn't be too disappointed if we didn't buy Keane as we do have Hernandez Was and Benny as back up for Huth/Morgan.

Maybe giving Keane a years prem experience then going in for him might be better, but also more expensive I guess.

Slightly concerned that transfer activity is slowing down, are we really in for Lemina? He seems ideal for us. Can we rely on the pairing of Ulloa and Shinji, they are good impact subs but no where near champions league quality, we desperately need a strong and physical no10 who can head the ball and create eg Ulloa upgrade. Also cover for Simpson in case of injury, De Laet is a liability and Amartey doesn't look confident as RB.

I am troubled with Ranieri's words "market is close"

and i am not sure its only about outgoings, because there are people who will go i suppose

My take on what he said is market close only in regards to Mahrez. If you watch the sky interview as it cuts in the interviewer says "you say you want to bring some in but how important is it to keep hold..."

That makes sense

because 2-3 new signing is inevitable

I am thinking there is more activity going on in the average tramps' Y-Fronts than on

Rudder's mobile. Serious lack of incoming rumors this week.

I think we still need:

- a backup RB (I'm not convinced by Amartey in that position)

- a backup CB (ideally someone who will still be playing in 5-6 seasons)

- a striker (tall, good at headers but also reasonably quick and decent with the ball)

Remove backup and add CM and I'd agree. All signings should be an improvement or at least potential improvement on what we have in those positions. Cultivates continuous improvement rather than stagnation.

I think he just meant Mahrez? But you never know I suppose

I DONT understand the negatives and doubts leaning towards Armatey.

In the games hes played so far, hes proved he can cut it.

I dont count pre season games has any type of proof or marker, he did it in the PL.

I personally think he will play a big role for this club going forward. That being said, we need more signings. I don't think our back four will perform anywhere near to what they did 2nd half of the season, so we need a center back that is YOUNGER and athletic. Somebody like Baily would have been perfect.  I also don't think we can play the 4-4-2 effectively anymore without Kante, he was the transition. We are in desperated need in my opinion of a Modric type of player; a player that can unlock the back four, control tempo for the midfield and ping balls out to our wings.

So Drinkwater?

As others the recent activity of LCFC. I believe we should only sign a player if they are 100% right for us, don't want to buy someone for the sake of it.

Everyone was crying out for a striker in Jan and we still won the league comfortably, and have now signed Musa for a more reasonable price.

expect he has proven incapable of controlling the tempo of games and unlocking the back 4. We need Kovacic, he is amazing at transitioning from defense to attack. He has a change of pace, quick on the turn, and phenomenal touch and vision. If we go 4/2/3/1. Drinkwater/Kovacic/Mendy midfield would be insane.

I've got this horrible feeling that we're not going to buy anyone, hugely underwhelming if so. Rudkin was caught on camera laughing and joking at the Oxford match with the owners, he better pull his finger out or I will start blaming him for any potential downfall. Shinji and Ulloa are not good enough, sorry we need a physical no.10 with creativity, where's the replacement for one of the best tacklers in the league? only Mendy and Drinkwater can hold their own against the big boys in midfield (sorry Andy). Amartey looks like he's cacking himself at RB, get a few injuries and we're going to look bang average in some areas. Come on man we're champions league, sort it out now

This would be fantastic, ain't gunna happen though, notice how all out activity has slowed since Walsh has done the off? Where's the contingency planning, guarantee Everton will start bidding for those guys, we need to react quickly and decisively

Walshy don't put the bids in so that's garbage. This week we've supposedly put in a €22m bid for Lemina & Burnely are supposedly gonna knock back our improved offer for Keane.

I'm sure people expect some new news every day. Negotiations are all Rudkin, we will have a database already full of players who Walshy & the recruitment team have said are capable of playing for us, with reports attached to each player.

just because Walshy is going doesn't mean he's taking the database with him, so calm down sit back & enjoy pre-season before the hectic season starts again.

NO ONE IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB.

We never bid for Lemina. Gazzetta dello sport said IF Juve want £20 mill for Lemina then Leicester should bid. It was then erroneously picked up on twitter and other news outlets that we had made a bid.

I agree Walsh is just one man and I'd rather put my trust in the collective at our club and hope that our embedded philosophy will continue on as it always has. Having too much leverage laiden in one man is such a rookie mistake in business/management.

I'm not as concerned about our back 4 as some seem to be, mainly because I believe Chillwell will stay and eventually capture the starting role from Fuchs. He's improving rapidly.

for whats its worth this is may take. we need a midfielder who can hold the ball up and create chances for vardy and musa. we need another forward who is good in the air and on the floor so we can change around are game plan.shinij runs his socks off but he is better suited to the championship, spends more time on the ground and his goal return is poor. ulloa is to slow and he did increase his work rate last season but is not premier leaque standard when u look what other clubs below us have. we need a player who can play midfield or up front so we can have options.
