denisrfc Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Hello Glasgow Rangers fan here r, firstly well done for last season. I have read the post about my club signing Joseph Dodoo and by all accounts most fans are disappointed. How good a player have we actually got as you guys have seen him and by all accounts we could have a gem. Thanks
Mark_w Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 I missed this. Hope we're getting a fabulous ex-Sunderland goal machine in return.
Babylon Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Hello Glasgow Rangers fan here r, firstly well done for last season. I have read the post about my club signing Joseph Dodoo and by all accounts most fans are disappointed. How good a player have we actually got as you guys have seen him and by all accounts we could have a gem. Thanks He's barely played, scored 4 goals but in all honesty his all round game wasn't great. Will blow hot and cold from what I saw in the youth team, got some talent but very very raw. Without being disrespectful, he'd never be a goal machine here, but in Scotland, we've had ex players bang them in for fun up there and not much here.
Gerard Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 He won't make your first team IMO. I went to all the League Cup games that he played and despite his hattrick vs Bury with one brilliant goal and his goal against West Ham he looked a couple of levels below. His all round game was poor IMO but he's still young so you never know. I'm not dissapointed to see him go in the slightest as I think in five years time he'll probably be League One level.
Riot Van Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Thought he was a bit shit really, nothing special about him.
Swarles Barkley Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Most of the teams in Scottish football are fully dogshit. Dodoo will be decent there
st albans fox Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Most of the teams in Scottish football are fully dogshit. Dodoo will be decent there Decent or feel at home ? (I think I got the joke anyway)
Swarles Barkley Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Decent or feel at home ? (I think I got the joke anyway) Honestly didnt even pick up on that when I wrote it Good to know Im subconciously witty
JerryLundegaard Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 We played him out wide in the cup games, and it didn't seem like beating his man was one of his strengths. I felt like he could have done more in a central role.
TJB-fox Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Very very very raw. His first touch and passing is much to be desired from what I've seen of him in the first team. But, he classifies himself as a centre forward not a winger and we never really got to see him centrally here so he might surprise you. Got a natural eye for goal though, always pops up in goalscoring positions and has a generally very decent record here in the youth teams and first team. Lets be honest if Waggy can bang them in for you then this lad has every chance of doing the same, especially when players like Halliday start for you- no disrespect. I think its a great move all round to be honest and fully expect him to force his way into contention given half a sniff of first team football.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Rangers is my soft spot team, plus Queen of the South which I always pick on the blackout card (I digress)', so hope he scores a winner against Celtic
Dan Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 I'm with others, I think he's actually a pretty good finisher (they were some nice goals if you watch them back) but he hasn't got much of an all-round game. One of ours though so wish him the best.
Tuna Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 He was hugely disappointing at Bury last season, at best he's league 1 standard.
ealingfox Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 He was hugely disappointing at Bury last season, at best he's league 1 standard. He'll be a 30 goal man in the SPL then.
Max Power Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 There was some rubbish kid we had who went to Scotland and scored an absolute shedload. McKay?

JerryLundegaard Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 There was some rubbish kid we had who went to Scotland and scored an absolute shedload. McKay? Yes. He's not exactly tearing it up at Wigan atm.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 16 July 2016 Posted 16 July 2016 Tommy Wright (the younger one) and Johnny Hayes both scored plenty for Aberdeen too
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 I watched him play for the Academy last game of the season and personally thought he was the worst player on the pitch that match. Has talent but zero work rate and the manager kept having to yell instructions to him and tell him where to go etc.
