filbertstreet Posted 23 July 2016 Posted 23 July 2016 the guy in that picture is almost definitely a zombie, do not want
sdb Posted 23 July 2016 Posted 23 July 2016 Thought he was older too. A CB that can play RB makes sense but he'll not want to sit on the bench and I can't see who deserves to get replaced.

MPH Posted 23 July 2016 Posted 23 July 2016 I struggle to see where he would fit in and who he would replace?
Callabinho Posted 23 July 2016 Posted 23 July 2016 He's be here purely on his experience. Surely not to be dismissed?
dylanlegend Posted 23 July 2016 Posted 23 July 2016 When he was at Spurs he looked awesome then went off a bit, considering he's only 30 and can cover RB and CB think he'll be a good buy especially if it's a reasonable price
Beliall Posted 24 July 2016 Posted 24 July 2016 Yes forme. Getting experience in has worked well for us thus far. And perhaps he would be willing to trade in the russian league for a spot on the bench at a prem club
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 July 2016 Posted 24 July 2016 Yes for me. Looked fine at the Euros, has played in the Prem before and won't cost the earth. Experienced defenders are always worth what we pay for them.
norwichfox Posted 24 July 2016 Posted 24 July 2016 Would be good to have another string to the defensive "bow" seems to be a spirited lad that would fit in well with our ethos, no question of his ability, or experience I would like to see this happen.
Nick Posted 24 July 2016 Posted 24 July 2016 It's a yes from me - can play right back or centre back in all the cup games, add competition for places and provide injury cover. No brainer.
Old Fox Posted 24 July 2016 Posted 24 July 2016 No from me. We have great options across the back line apart from right back. Simpson is top draw defensively and yesterday showed how important he is as he allows Riyad to go and play. Amartey imo is not a right back. If we are to improve I would look for an upgrade on Simpson which will cost but we have an opportunity to move forwards and Corluka would not be an upgrade other than cover.
dedlock Posted 24 July 2016 Posted 24 July 2016 Would be a good experienced addition.Despite the addition of Hernandez, with additional demands of CL,we need another quality defender. Competition for places is no bad thing.

I agree with this but if we are not looking to replace Simpson this season as first choice RB we need quality cover. This is that cover.
Will1981 Posted 24 July 2016 Posted 24 July 2016 would be an upgrade on Wasly as a central defender but far too slow to play right back.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 24 July 2016 Posted 24 July 2016 I'm all for this, generally think he was one of the best centre backs at the euro's. Looked a complete animal. Hope he brings his water polo cap too if he comes

reynard Posted 24 July 2016 Posted 24 July 2016 Looked Ok at the Euros and has experience. Surely worth considering.
Fox seen in Norwich Posted 24 July 2016 Posted 24 July 2016 Great buy imo if comes off. Experience and could still have 4 years in him. 5 great cb's

LCCFox96 Posted 25 July 2016 Posted 25 July 2016 This would be a shrewd piece of business in my opinion. Fits the 'lionheart' and 'no nonsense' CB style that the club clearly adopt and we fans love, just like the current crop of Morgan, Huth and Wasilewski. He's also a solid defender and a team player. The fact he wouldn't command a huge fee and the versatility to his positioning is just a bonus.
