He was double marked by ManU virtually the whole match, so Mourinho rated him. We should have used that more to our advantage.

like signing a box to box that can actually drive us forward and create? Cause Drinkwater, King, and Mendy are not using that to their advantage nor will they.

Thought nothing he tried came off today - and could have got a shot away a couple of times but delayed too long. Frustrating but to be fair they'd done their homework and doubled  up on him most of the game when he had the ball. He had plenty of games like this last season though -  sure he'll be on fire again soon!

What was Mahrez supposed to do there? Shit pass from Vardy (who I thought also had a fairly average game).

Attack the ball instead of pulling up.

Looks like he doesn't want to be here sadly.

He needs to make a decision now. Either commit or hand in a transfer request. I can't be bothered with half hearted performances.

Mahrez is distracted by the transfer gossip (in part of his own making), but also seems to be a poor traveller.

He will come good.

Every year you can always see a dip in his form when the transfer windows are open.

He has his head turned so easily.

Christ there's some negative people on here. Yes he had a bad game, but people are just making wild assumptions when they're putting this down to transfer speculation. There was just as much of that about when we played Celtic yet he was our MOTM.

Players can have off-games for a multitude of reasons, maybe he just felt shit. Either way Utd did a great job on him every time he did get the ball. Several players had less than stellar performances yesterday, but hey that's football sometimes.

Yesterday wasn't for a lack of trying IMO.

Just didn't come off for him. He made some poor decisions.

You have to accept that he'll have these days. The touch after Drinkwater's pass that just beat Shaw was absolutely orgasmic. He can turn it on in the blink of an eye and that's why we definitely don't want to lose him.

Vardy plays a weak pass out of his run and by the time Mahrez sees Herrera, he's never getting to that ball first, not cleanly at least.

So what is he supposed to do? Risk getting injured for a friendly? When he's negotiating a new contract?

Another Mahrez thread :)

The problem with him is that he has to shine every game...if he has a normal game; he is good to be benched sold or binned and that is the view of very few.

We have evidences that Leicester the club and all the fans (minus very few) love him to bits.

He has these periods of ineffective play that last for a few games, so long as he produces against Dull I'm not too bothered though it would have been nice to win a bit more silverware.

I read that he should leave or stay. Obviously if he signed a new contract it would suggest he is staying! but there is nothing apart from rumours to suggest that any team is prepared to sign him particularly as he has no get- out.

His agent is depending on his next signing on cut or/and a % of his greater salary.

Pics of him at the same hotel in London as Conte , coincidence? That'd be too harsh surely.

Why not sign? Surely they offered as much as they will, which is no doubt plenty.

I saw those pics too. Pretty worrying, surely can't be a coincidence, can it?

I just kept shouting 'shoot'..and he didn't.

The number of times he beat a man and could have done one of his curly things into the top corner..but he kept on passing.

Personally, I thought Utd defended very well though. We had very little room to get shots in to be fair.
